Can anyone help me downgrade my SM-N960U1 back to Oreo? - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

The product number is: SM-N960UZBATMB
I understand that the bootloader can't be unlocked, but can I still downgrade somehow through Odin?
I've attached Phone INFO screenshots, if it helps.
Thanks

Your bootloader is revision 2. You can only flash firmware on the same bootloader.

So does that mean that I can't downgrade? Sorry I'm not familiar with rooting and bootloaders on Samsung devices

You cannot downgrade, you are stuck on Pie. But you can flash the Tmobile U firmware not just the U1. But it has to be boot loader 2

[Q] Possible to loose unlock/rooting unlocked

Hi, I would appreciate help with this.
My device was unlocked. I then reflashed my device after a soft brick.
I am worried about two things:
1. That I have lost unlock.
When I flash another in flashtool, at one point it says: Bootloader status: not rootable.
2. That I have somehow made my device no longer unlockable.
Based on what flashtool says. Also, if i check system info, under root info it only says unknown.
How can I check if BL still unlocked??

Is bootloader locked?

I bought the Kenya version from Jumia. Is the bootloader locked? Is there anyway I can tell if its locked or not?
Also, if its unlocked, can I flash a custom recovery then root thru it?
Thanks!

It is locked, and there i a bug in which you cannot unlock it with the
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
command
Their is a method to install custom recovery, please see this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/hot-2/development/android-one-rom-recovery-twrp-root-sp-t3227682
I bought mine from Jumia (Kenya) and after having hard time trying to unlock the bootloader, I switched to official infinix 5.1 & I flashed custom recovery, rooted

Cross Flashing Firmware

Just a query.
Can I flash N920C firmware on my N920A?
What would be the repercussions?
Pardon my ignorance.
But I need root!
Unfortunately no. Firmware packages include model specific kernels. It wouldnt flash and if you could get it to flash, it wouldnt boot.
Also, the AT&T model has a locked bootloader, so there is currently no way to root it.

Not through sideload no. You can flash it with RSDLite or fastboot, but only if your bootloader is unlocked.

No.
However you can unlock your bootloader with sunshine. After you unlock it, then you can do it.

Yes it will lock bootloader only if you have verizon or AT&T N910V/N910A.
On Other models the bootloader will lock just to downgrade to 5.0/4.4.4 if you flash 6.0.1 bootloader.
You won't be able to downgrade.

I'm sorry but you contradicted yourself (makes no sense).
On other models bootloader will lock "just to downgrade to 5?" if you flash 6 bootloader? I don't understand.....

I mean once you upgrade to mashamallow bootloader you cannot downgrade to 5.0 or 4.4.4 because bootloader will lock just to prevent downgrading otherwise no issues with root/roms/recovery.
You can still downgrade to 5.1.1 though.
On at&t and verizon bootloaders are locked for downgrading and flashing recovery/rooting etc.

You've been great help regardless, no problem! It's not that bad
Also - I have a Note 4 from Verizon - is that bootloader unlockable now? I do however have that on 6.0.1 already I think so no?

Link below there is a guide first you have do downgrade to 5.1.1 then upgrade to marshmallow without relock the bootloader.
Once you do that then you can flash any marshmallow rom.
Good luck.
