Hi!
Maybe You can suggest good wired earbuds (like "Ve Monk Plus"). I try a lot, but everywhere is so high sound waves, I need to put in equalizer it to 0 (Neutron player). But, sound quality is became worse.
I use sony mdr-xb950bt with bluetooth conection, poweramp app beta versión and Dolby atmos equalizer.. And works fine. You could modify both equalizers to get better sound.

yes...I'm speaking about the quality of sound while listening an mp3 through the headphones. The sound is really flat without basses or medium frequencies. Even using a better quality headphones the result is always the same: very poor audio quality. It sucks! ...and did you notice that every time you tap on the screen the click that it produces is preceded by a "zack" as happens when an ampli is badly turned on. Listen it carefully and compare with another pda (mine was the artemis).

The same here but I'm using Ethymotic Isolator stereo headset and fit4cat utility to hack A2DP reg.
re: flat sound
I have quite a few earphones & their sounds all vary when using it on the D810. If you like a bit of bass & good mid-range
I recommend the Creative CP630. I suspect Seinnheisers CX300 would be the same.
I too found adjusting a2dp with Fit4cat made a difference in sound quality.
I bought the Sony MDR-EX90 recently that sound fantastic on my home stereo, but sounded very flat on the D810.
@ Ipnotik : worth trying out a different pair of earphones. Dopods may not be the best mp3 players, but hopefully you get to find a good headphone combo which sounds bearable.
Oh & try Mortplayer as it has an equalizer .
You have two choices (I have tested both):
pocket player + ipaqaudio.exe
or
TCPMP equalizer or gsplayer

What's ipaqaudio.exe? Where to find it? What's for? Does it work on P3600?
Ipaqaudio can be found on this forum just make a search
It is an equalizer hardware change originally made for ipaq but it works on my P3600 and the only thing a noticed is that it sometime reset when I change sound. But exceps that It works fine!
It is great to have a hardware equalizer

Thanks, I found it...but it seems that to have it working you must have wired headset connected...did you try it with BT headset?
I use an htc tytn usb to jack converter bought in france (mobidistrib)
You can find the trinity one (it is the same) on expansys.
Sound with the HTC supplied headphones is OK, but I've just tried some Goldring gx200's and there was hardly any bass and overall poorer sound
What is the problem?
Are you using the built in Audio player?
Did you enable the 'Audio Booster'?
It is a known problem that this happens. You need to disable the Audio Booster as it has a bug that ruins the bass.
This has been talked about over and over again!
I have seen the audio booster problem mentioned, but I did not find any posts where it mentioned this problem with other headphone makes.
In my case audio booster was off for both headphones
It is a software bug, therefore it affects all headphones, no matter who made them.
If you enabled Audio booster at any point EVER, then it will screw the bass up.
If i remember rightly, you have to turn it on and then off again while the headphones are connected and it should solve it.
I have not used Audio booster at all. If I use the HTC supplied headphones then bass is fine, but if I use the third party ones there is no bass.
I can't see why it would make any difference, unless there is some electronics within the HTC phones to alter the sound/signal
With Radio or Media Player?

Are you talking about listening to radio or to the mediaplayer?
Because only the orginial headset and some replacemnets have an radio antenna in the headset cord.
I am using the RC E100 with my own Sony MDR-ELX90P headphones, and even without Audio Booster, I'm getting plenty of bass.
I can't understand why it would be different for you.
How are you actually connecting your 3rd party headphones by the way?
I am using an adapter to convert the mini-usb to standard headphone plug. This adapter is working OK on my Trinity, and the headphones work OK on other devices.
So its a bit odd.
Sound is from mp3's, I'll try the radio later
Are you sure by chance you do not have a fake headphone?
I bought a fake (I did not know that before) Sony Ericsson headphone, and it has no bass...

We are using SRS WOW 2.1 (this disables Audiobooster automaticly), to play around with different sound patterns.
Our new Bluetooth headphones must be able dealing with extreme low bass and high trebles untill we got over modulation at high volume.
We also tested competitive headsets from Sony, Motorola and some cheap Chinese copy-cat though they all give a more than average deep bass.
There is somewhere in another thread mentionning about "gradually decreasing bass" each time when another applic is opened (not the specific audio booster bug)
sorry, couldn't fins the thread anymore
Hi, Can someone help me to find a headset (with mic) [no headphones, sorry] fully compatible with our p970?
I bought:
AKG K350: microphone doesn't work
Sony DR-EX39PP: microphone doesn't work
...
If you write me the model of compatible headphones/headset, I can make a list of compatible/ not compatible models.

Using the MZX 206 now, well clarity of sound, very very solid bass and fully working with our LG P970 on microphones calling and receive, music forward and reverse track.
Beside that, i am also using this one too for better heavy bass music listening, this one with enchanced bass, really good sound performer and solid listening

I love the LG in-ear earphones. Probably the best part of the phone :\ Didn't expect them to be good but had to try them out after my old ones died. The bass is pretty solid with PowerAmp

Hi all,
I’m an old geezer with some loss of hearing, watching a lot of series on my Tab S2, wearing wireless (Bluetooth) headphones (Bose QC35) but find the media sound still too low on the headphones highest setting.
I wonder if any of you come across an app that will boost media sound. Some films are louder and I can cope but for some reason watching series they all have lower sound level. It’s not just the headphone as I have a PSB M4U 2 wired headphone as well with the exact same result. I have searched playstore but not been able to find any good ones.
Hope you can help out.
Kind Regards,

Thank you but I have no idea how to root my device

Sorted! Configured MX player as my default player. The sound can be upped to 200% with just a tick in its system. Now, it's more than enough even for me.

If you are satisfied in that too
Just purchased a new Honor 9 Lite having come from a P10 Lite.
The 9 is a lovely phone in regards to its screen and shape but both phones have dreadful audio quality over bluetooth.
I cannot listen to music as anything with any volume (especially guitar based rock/metal) sounds like a 64kbps MP3 from 2000 napster .
I only a have modest quality Bluetooth headset (low end Phillips) but the quality is dreadful, equally my car stereo really exposes how compressed the audio sounds. A cheap Amazon fire tablet sounds superb in comparison as have my previous phones.
Is this just the way audio is with Huawei / Honor offerings? Seems such a stupid problem but its ruining my enjoyment of the phone.
Any ideas would be great before I get shut of what otherwise is a excellent phone.
I am also facing similar issue of poor audio quality over Bluetooth. Is there any fix?
I bought my H9L direct from their website when they had the offer with the free Honor bluetooth headphones.
The sound through them is horrible and tinny. There is a built in EQ mode called Histen, but it only works with wired headphones.
I think that if they had a promotion for own brand headphones, then they should at least make the experience worth while.
I'm very close to ditching the bluetooth & going back to a wired headset instead. Bluetooth in car car is also very low volume so I have to have the radio up really loud.
At the very least, they need to activate the Histen over bluetooth, aparently 3rd party EQ don't work
Use poweramp and see the magic (use pro version)
