Hey guys,
I have recently unlocked my bootloader and flashed xiaomi eu rom, the problem is that the phone does not detect my sim cards in the phone. Bearing in mind i purchased this phone from vodafone on contract so i don't know if that has something to do with this.
I have a similar problem, did you get it resolved ?

Hi all, I've recently purchased my P10 which was locked to UK EE network. My SIM is on Three. A purchased a SIM Unlock code, but unfortunately it comes back as unsuccessful each time.
My question is whether this has anything to do with the firmware I flashed? I initially upgraded it to the Oreo release based on the instructions in this forum, then flashed a treble image. Would I have to simply revert back to the original firmware in order for the SIM Unlock to work?
Please help as I need this device working.
TIA

Hello, I have a Huawei P8 lite 2017 PRA-LX1 phone bought 3 months ago. Originally it had a PRA-LX1C02B158 Vodafone firmware (Nougat) single SIM, but after rooting, unlock bootloader and FRP and finally after many and many tries ( I can not remember all of them ) I followed Almironi procedure (https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/p8-lite-2017-discussion/trying-to-update-to-oreo-t3814332) and the phone booted again apparently without any Vodafone files (even initial logo disappeared) and with Oreo version. The problem was that I thought that with f/w PRA-LX1C432 PRAGUE_L31 my phone will become dual sim. WRONG it still recognizes only 1 SIM card. Does any one really know if this phone can be flashed to a dual SIM version ? Does it have the necessary hardware since it only shows one IMEI ?
Sorry if there is already a post with this questions or if a broke any rule of this forum.
Many thanks in advance.

You cannot upgrade your phone from single sim to dual SIM. Dual SIM means that your phone has two slots for two SIM cards. Your phone has one. No software can change that.

Hi,
my phone has 2 slots. Slot 2 is used ether for SIM2 or for memory card.
Tks.
Hello, I just got myself the xiaomi mi 9 from vodafone uk and it seems they disabled the second sim. Any way I can activate it , before I try and sell the device? Would flashing something like xiaomi eu solve the problem?

There's something wrong, as the Xiaomi doesn't have a "carrier rom" anywhere in the world.
Describe the problem more, the tests made, the rom version, etc.
Vodafone Uk is seling the xiaomi mi 9 6gb ram/128 gb. On the box it says it is a single sim phone and in the manual it says that the second sim is inactive. I'm asking if it is possible to install a different rom or firmware version that allows the second sim to be used, considering the tray has two slots.
Well I doubt they hardware crippled it.
So I say yes, try ROS or Xiaomi.eu.

I'm quite confident you can. If you want to keep the MIUI style you can go for xiaomi.eu ROMS etc.
Be aware that once you buy the phone, you will have to request Xiaomi your bootloader unlock code, and sometimes they make you wait up to 2 weeks. And without an unlocked bootloader, you can't flash other roms.
Recently bought a xiaomi redmi note 10 pro but the network provider blocked the second IMEI even the second sim tray is blocked, will rooting the device and uploading the bootloader help as I want to use my phone as a dual sim? Please assist...
After update on muiu 12.5.5 my Redmi note 9s and Mi max 3 are both locked now and have no network and can not use any sim card even the old sim card. So I can't get data to unlock them.
This is not good at all.
