Bluetooth headset noise - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

Whenever I talk on my Bluetooth headset, everyone can hear everything that's going on in the background. I have tried 6 different noise cancelling headphones and they all have the same problem. Is there fix or workaround?

If i understand you right, you have the Problem, that People can hear Backgroundnoises, when you phone them ? If so..
I own 2 BT Headsets. One with active Noise cancelling (Beoplay H9i) and for my understanding, the noise cancelling is only for your ears. Means that someone wich you call, cant hear the effect of cancelling. Only you can have this effect.
But if you meant, that overall no Noise cancelling works with your device, maybe sound like stupid question..but did you ativated this function on each headset ?

[REQ]Reducing volume sound

Is there any way to reduce the calling sound of X1? (The speaker on the top of the screen) Mine is so hard, even on the lowest volume. When I set the volume to the highest volume, it is like I have set to hands free. Its really annoying to have the sound that hard, because the people who are next to me can hear the voice of the person who I'm talking with. When I talk a few minutes, I even get a headache.
Why don't you turn off the Speakerphone?
Seriously, I constantly move the phone a bit away from my ear. I can hear it anyway Anyone who can help me with this?
I also suspect that the sound is coming out of the speakerphone and not the earphone. Ensure that hte speakerphone is turned off on your phone while calling. Maybe you've change a setting somewhere? Another reason could be that you are using fring or skype to call.... the calls are diverted to the speakerphone instead of the earphone when you use skype or fring. There is a tweak available to redirect the sound to the earphone. You can also use headphones instead.
Thanks for your reply. I dont use fring or skype. And I know that the sound comes from the earphone. I have tested it by putting my finger on the speakerphone and earphone. The hard sound comes really from the earphone.
Where is the tweak to redirect the sound to the earphone btw?
I have the same issue, and no matter which ROM I've used the earphone minimum volume is just too loud. Maybe there is a registry setting to lower it?
I hope so. Weird that less people have same kind of problem.
hello,
same issue for me....

[Help] Mic doesn't work in calls

i can use voice recording or voice to text just fine. i can also make phone calls in speaker phone mode just fine. but when i turn speaker phone off the person on the other end can BARELLLLLY hear me
ugh so i've been trying to test it
i left myself some voicemails using the phone
if i talk normal i hear nothing with an occasional click or something. if i take my finger and rub it on the noise canceling mic while talking i can sort of hear myself talking but its really low and garbled sounding, and of course if i switch to speakeprhone then i hear myself fine
this sucks, its obviously some kind of software issue. does the phone not use the secondary mic for noise canceling during speakerphone? that would explain the issue i guess.

Click to collapse
The mic on my first N1 was broken so it might be a hardware issue.
its either software or the secondary mic is broke and is causing it to filter out everything, because the main mic works great on speakerphone
this sucks

Bluetooth sound muted

when my phone connect to my headset (sena smh-10r, motorcycle communicator), sometimes it's ok and sometimes the sound is muted, and i have to manually raise the sound level. Annoying when i'm all geared up or i already leaved.
I would say it's 50-50 chances and i can't replicate the outcome.
I tried with smart actions, i created a rule for when i connect to this headset, that sound is at max, but that's for the sound of the device, not the BT sound.
Any ideas ?
I hoped 4.4 would solve my issue but it's still a couple months to go.

headset microphone feeding back into headphones (is this normal?)

The mic is unmuted and feeding back into the headphones during calls. When i scratch the mic with my thumb or adjust the volume rocker on the headset i hear the amplified scratching and clicking noises in my ears. When i talk directly into the mic, i hear my amplified voice.
It's NOT an ECHO... It's like when you pickup a landline telephone handset in your home. The mic is wired into the speaker and you're hearing your own voice piped back thru the speaker. Try scratching or blowing air on the mic of an old school landline phone and you'll hear it thru the speaker amplified in your ear.
This is what I'm talking about. My Galaxy S3 as well as most other Cell phones never used to do this. Why now? What's the purpose? So you can hear your own voice in noisy environments maybe? Doesn't seem truly necessary, more annoying than helpful imo.
EDIT: I went to the Sprint store and tested both my stock note5 headset as well as my bose headset on ALL new samsung phones and they ALL exhibit this same issue. When I asked the tech about it, she scoffed and said, "They are supposed to do that!"
So nobody gives a **** or has any clue about this?
