I am confused, as gsmarena.com says it does, and if you go on to honor.co.uk and look at specs it says it has NFC.
On the other hand if you Google Honor Play NFC nfc.com says it doesn't have it, and sellers on aliexpress, gearbest, etc. say no NFC.
Which is it?!
Doesn't have... Confirmed with honor

Let me make it clear guys, there are 3 versions of Honor play.
1. COR-L29 which is the GLOBAL variant and has NFC + wideVine L1 level DRM
2. COR-AL10 which is the Indian variant and does NOT have NFC, also only has WideVine L3 level DRM
3. COR-AL00 which is the Chinese variant and just like the Indian one does not have NFC and only has WideVine L3 level DRM.
I hope this solves your queries.

Thanks, but when I get my phone I'll be able to see in the settings I guess. Unless this app shows a "hidden" NFC? Is that even a thing?

I don't think hidden NFC is a thing. Also yes you would be able to see the NFC within the settings, it if your phone has it. I have a COR-AL00 variant and I do not have NFC, but it's strange that Honor was supposed to ship Indian variant but they are shipping AL00 which is Chinese? I got this information from gsmArena probably they messed something up.
Everything is very unclear, honor needs to be a little more transparent.

It's a bit embarrassing for Honor that having spent time working out how their site works it's impossible to download the manual - you get the poor english "sorry no search result" when you try.
Maybe the manual is available for other regions. I can't post URLs but you could try at hihonor.com, then the path global/support/phones/honorplay

Hi there, mine is Cor-l29 and have NFC. It's the global version.
So I got my phone is the 6GB version COR-TL00 and unfortunately it doesn't have NFC. not a deal breaker for me though. Otherwise the phone is great.
Just wondering if we can stream at least HD on Netflix with the North American version of this device?
Yes they supported hdr 10.so no issue to use Netflix. Don't worry about it.
My unit came with L3 out of the box.
L3 here.
I have global Camo 12gb 256gb model and L3 here
Hi MIUI fans !
Today i'll answer some questions that i asked to myself and on forums so let's get started :
Firstly, I have a Mi 9 Global Version (not EEU) 6/64GB Black.
1 - Does the MI9 have Carrier aggregation on bands B3 (1800Mhz) and B7 (2600Mhz) while all xiaomi phones older thant Mi9 (Mi Mix 3 ?) can't aggregate on these frequencies ?
The Answer is YES, i'm in Free Mobile Carrier in France and the Mi9 aggregate B3+B7 perfectly, i'm reaching 200MB/s easily. (It is supposed to aggregate B28(700Mhz) too but not yet tested)
2 - Does the MI9 support Widevine L1 Certification for Netflix and other video services in HD ?
YES, mine is certified widevine L1 (unfortunately, HDR isn't yet supported by Netflix, let's wait for them to wake up ...)
3 - What type of charger is included in the phone box ?
It is not a 27W charger, the charger included is a classic QuickCharge 3.0 charger.
4 - Is there face recognization for unlocking the device ?
I'm in FRANCE, region set to FRANCE, and yes, it have the device unlock by face recognization.
Hope I have answered all or some of your questions about the mobile, don't hesitate to ask for any further informations,
Best Regards,
another MIUI fan in this gigantic community.
Hi,
I live in France and I'm looking for a k20 pro with the bands B20 and B28.
It seems that the Indians version of this phone is the one I need.
Do you know a way to buy the k20 pro in India with delivery in France?
Thank you for your help.

The Indian K20 Pro does NOT have either LTE band 20 or 28.
This is the official Indian website, scroll to the supported network bands.
https://mobile.mi.com/in/redmi-k20-pro/?RNType=product&product_id=redmi-k20-pro
Oh! I was thinking that I'll find those bands in this version ...
Only hope is an European release I guess...
Thank you for the tip
i think the difference between china and india version are the widevine L1 certification and the poco launcher as a stock launcher, also the package of india version is different
GApps, Google store and Google assistant are also available in the India version (I mean without touching anything)? Already included?
By the way, better go for the mi9t or the mimix 3?
Thank

mi mix 3 is 27 grams more heavy , doesn't have widevine L1 , also no headphone jack , 3200 mah , if you care about this thing , all the time Mi9T, 4000 battery, jack, widevine L1 , 730 is kind of snap 835 runs very good.
ah MI MIX 3 has OIS and better camera with gcam i think

it's code language i guess but one can still understand what he's trying to say.
good information
There shouldn't be a difference in terms of HDR capability. If you should find hints that that's not true , feel free to share them.
The only differences between tencent and WW should ly in networking capabilities. The tencent version supports less LTE bands (might be a concern in rural areas) and a lower max. LTE speed (I don't know who cares about that, but I don't get gigabit LTE anyway, nor do I want to pay for it). Moreover it doesn't support 4x4 MUMIMO and WLAN ad. All in all it's not a big deal.
