I opened the box, slapped on my Tumi wireless chargable battery pack from my Moto Z and the battery is insane. No way I can drain this in one day. Also all the complaints about the camera don't make sense to me (yet). I've taken side by side photos with my s8+ and I prefer the z2's pictures to the s8. The shutter doesn't seem slow at all. I don't get it.
The one thing I am annoyed with however, is the speakerphone. It plays nice and loud for Youtube videos and ringtones/music, but phone calls is way too low. The volte calls sound much better and louder than the standard calls though. Also I took some snapchat videos and the audio is very quiet there as well; like you almost can't hear it. It just seems like there is bugs in the audio currently since Youtube gets loud and other stuff doesn't. If they can fix the audio with updates, then I don't see any problems as of yet.
If you get this phone PUT A GLASS PROTECTOR ON IT RIGHT AWAY. You can scratch the screen with your fricken fingernail. It's not worth it to wait a few weeks and then put a protector over a scratched screen. Have one waiting.
This is the fastest, most responsive phone I have ever seen. Excellent ram management too. I can be playing a game and then go to the home screen and use 5 other apps over the course of an hour, then come back to the game and its still in ram right where I left it. Try that with a Samsung, or even Pixel lol. Phone just flies and does everything right. The forward facing speaker and flash is amazing and should be the standard. I also went on a trip and took a bunch of photos. The black and white wasn't really my thing and the depth field effect didn't do much, but just the standard photos are way better than my s8+. I took them side by side to compare.
Also to those complaining of the smaller battery, that's what mods are for. They made a compromise between the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force and just turned it into one phone, so its thinner but still has the shatterproof screen. This phone makes my s8+ feel like a tank. A laggy tank with terrible ram management lol
I'd like to second on how great the phone is, I actually gave up my iPhone 7+ for it. The last android I had was an LG G6 which I had only for a couple days, and it's wonderful. It's very fast, and even without any mods, I get great battery life. The one touch navigation is also pretty awesome. It's like everything I loved about my 7+ back in a customizable android interface I love.
I have to agree with the takes of this being a great phone. I left the S8 for it and don't regret it at all. While the S8 camera was a bit better in lower light and fast motion situations, nearly everything else on this phone is an improvement. Fast, responsive, feels light-weight UI, battery life excellent (avg 4-5 hr SOT). Definitely think Moto's take on mods is a great way to do it. Really looking forward to getting the projector and playing around with that as well.
Well add me to the list! 60+ years old and with this phone I feel like a kid in a candy store. Having a lot of fun with this phone and even started listening to music again.
Ordered Z2, also have S8+: the most important factor
Thank you T-Mobile for allowing bootloader unlock of Z2 Force! I ordered the Moto Z2 Force earlier today. My Samsung S8+ is also nice but Samsung largely ruins it by not allowing US Snapdragon S8/S8+/Note 8 bootloader unlock, and by gimmicky crap like Bixby that eats up RAM.
But, why should someone endure the abuse that is disallowing bootloader unlock (e.g., by Samsung in this instance)? Such is why I will never again buy a phone that does not have a bootloader that can be unlocked, and why I ordered a T-Mobile Z2 Force!
i agree as well, first Moto phone and only complaint i have is the speakerphone like the OP noted. hopefully there will be a fix, but other than that, this phone is perfect for me, waiting for my projector mod and plan on getting either the game pad or JBL speaker mod. would love the Hasselblad mod but will have to save up for that one
This phone is awesome, I jumped from a S8+, then like a fool fell for marketing hype and again jumped to the Note 8.
But I am back in with my Z2 Force.
So i have had both the Samsung S8+ and Note 8 but still prefer my Z2 Force

You're the perfect person to ask for this. I was hoping to find someone that has had experience with all 3. I have a Z2 and an s8+ (it's for sale). I haven't used the s8 in 3 weeks or more and I switched back to it last night and used it half the day today. It is UNBEARABLE. It is the slowest turd, I just can't believe it. I don't remember it being this bad. I checked for updates and did what I could but it is out insanely slow. Like apps take 3 times as long to launch, horrible ram management and just delays and stutter all the time. It takes twice as long just to go to the home screen for example.
Is the note 8 like that? I haven't played with a note 8 yet, but everything online shows it spanking the s8. Just wondering how it stacks up to the Z2. Thanks for reading.
Note 8 felt sluggish to me. Both the Z2 Force and the Mate 9 are faster.
Z2 is faster than the Mate 9.
I think the S8+, Note 8, and the Z2 Force all have the same 835. The Note 8 just has 6GB of RAM as opposed to 4.
And I am no Samsung hater, I have had the Note 2, 3, 4, 8, Galaxy S3, S5, S7 Edge, and S8+.
I also currently have and use the S3 Frontier, Samsung Level U Bluetooth, and Samsung Level Box Mini.
I also think Samsung's calendar is the best in the business. I also like their dialer and keyboard, although SwiftKey is my favorite.
The Z series is just great. And the Z2 Force takes it to another level. You got full flagship specs and the light skin of Moto.
Just enough cool stuff to not be boring like Stock Android, while still being light enough that it flies.
And absolutely nothing can beat that double chop for flashlight

Yep chop chop ftw lol Use it every single day. Thanks for the heads up about the note. I still might check one out sometime, but for now though I'm loving my Z2.
Finally, they've listened and the price has been dropped. This price is exclusive to T-MOBILE though!
yep, just got mine last night, so far so good

Yep, submitted my request last night. Better get it, one of the bigger reasons I got this phone. Don't think Moto can do anything when a carrier drops their price, you know

kinda wish they would let you choose your mod, i would rather have the Hasselblad camera over the projector
I'm definitely pulling the trigger at the end of the week. A price drop was all that I was waiting on.
Tmobile will adjust the price too if still within your 14 days, just did that today.

I work for TMobile and got all the mods free as well as the phone being the brand ambassador of Motorola. Pony up for it, it's sick.
Got the deal with 2 days left for the projector mod promo submitted my proof so no idea if i will every use the projector but seems cool anyway.

It's a beautiful device. I have NO regrets whatsoever! I'm rooted and loving it!
Picked mine up a few days ago. The screen scratches very easily:crying: Does anyone know of a good screen protector on Amazon? Other then that it is an excellent phone The performance is great as well as the battery life especially considering the small battery.
I picked up a few of these, for the family and I am working my way through the device. Battery life is great, BUT I think some CPU throttling is going, by Lenovo design--- as my device renders websites, forum threads (xda labs/Tapatalk) VERY slow. Tidal streaming take 20-30 seconds to buffer the first song in HiFi mode. This is very different than any of my other Samsung, LG,Sony phones on the same network, same plan, same city etc. The CPU and 4GB ram should not be this slow, especially when the phone transitions from app to app quickly and scrolling is very fast.
Screen is great at the $500 price, the DPI should be 480 out the box though. 640 is far to big. Also with the huge bezels, they should have made the navbar smaller, directly above the huge lower bezel. Or just capacitive buttons in the huge bottom bezel, like old Samsung devices. It should not be big ole navbar, mated to a big ole bezel [emoji38]
The music/podcast speaker output is awesome for such a thin device and only one speaker. The phone call speaker output is subpar, though.
The button placement is great, but I keep wanting to use the Motorola circle on the back as the finger print sensor [emoji38]. Its in the PERFECT rear position where my fingers sits when holding the phone rt handed.
The audio out dongle is ok, but the noise floor is pretty bad ( for those music based). It works, but this is NOT a multimedia device if that is your focus. Some background hissing, and electronic background noise, almost like a ground issue in the port. I am using some pretty sensitive iems though. If you are using $20 dollar headphones, doubt you would mind.
Bluetooth strength is good, but this output also suffers from the slight interruptions, here and there. Just small minute sound buckling, not full on stopping the songs. It's as if the phone falls out of range for a millisecond. Again I think this is a software background ram/cpu management design.
Also the notifications (silent or sound on mode), interrupt music pretty hard. That's another reason I think the software is throttling the cpu's pretty hard.
Great job TMobile for the unlocked bootloader with a US snapdragon. This may be the only option for rooting a USA 835 CPU based device.
Rooting Kills the warranty though, So I may not root my other devices. As I found out last night, even if you RELOCK the bootloader, the first screen still notifies you of a different OS. Basically no way to return to TMobile for a warranty fix, if something does fail. Early adopters might want to wait a bit to see if a Dev can mask the unlock/relock black screen back to full stock.
Signal strength is great, in my area. The size (slimness) and weight (super light) feel of the phone is amazing for all that's in this phone.
Camera loads fast, images are just OK, but the auto focus speed it good. Not great, just good.
This is basically a OnePlus 5, without the bubble scrolling issue [emoji38].
Back to enjoying a great, low priced, high spec option. Couple this with the projector mod/free offer, this is an AWESOME deal.

tl;dr
most of the things you are complaining or pointing out can and just might be updated or fixed in a custom rom (cpu, speaker output, audio, bluetooth, camera)
my dpi was set at 360 out of the box and can be changed in Developer options/Smallest width
when you get an unlock code from Motorola it states that by just getting the code you void the warranty so yeah, we know that going in
people put too much in the bezel thing, sure an edge to edge screen is cool, but not a game changer (for me anyways). i was gonna get an LG G6 or V30 simply for the fact that both phones are almost the exact same size as my G4 but with a bigger screen. it was basically the price drop and the free projector that pulled me over to the Z2 Force, plus when i tried the camera and saw how fast it was, that helped too

really? it has 3 reviews, 2 of them are 5 stars and 1 is 1 star cause the guy didnt like the fact that it did not cover the entire screen. i wouldnt call that "very bad ratings"
search Amazon or google, im sure you can find one that suits you
The Verizon Flexible Glass Display Protector is the best.
I had last years version on my Moto Z Force Droid on Verizon and it never had an issue.
I have this year's version on my T-Mobile Moto Z2 Force and it works great.
I actually am on my 3rd Z2. First one was pre-ordered and would not connect to voice mail so Tmo replaced it.
2nd one was fine other than the texting issue on Tmo, but I fell for the hype and Jumped to the Note 8.
A week and a half later I jumped back to the Z2 Force and got it for $500
I could kick myself for not waiting to get this until T-Mobile dropped the price. :/
The one thing that's really impressed me with this phone is the battery life, given the smaller (compared with the last Z2) nonremovable battery.

how long ago did you get yours? 2 years ago when i got an LG G4, they dropped the price like this 2 months after i bought it, went back to the store and while they did not give me the full discount, they did give me $80 bucks off, reduced my number of payments by 4 months
I've sold my Ultra, I couldn't get used to the sheer bulk and heft, the 7T feels perfect in the hand so I've swopped over .
I hammer my phone's. I'm in the UK and use 2 Sims, I cover a large area for work and the phone works hard on 4G all day, it's my main work tool carrying out work inspections , so a responsive bright fast screen is vital.
I never turn anything off, can't be bothered with all the worry about battery's as I charge on the car , so not an issue. So far sot 6hrs with nothing off and 2 Sims struggling to get signals. That's ok
Early days but love the screen, low lag, bright and fast. Don't like the call app, doesn't give option to choose sim first, it rings the default sim and you have to use that for the car phone to work, however I can chose a sim when using the contacts app, so should be fine.
Have a problem with a sim, the phone won't register the number so unless I order an iPhone 3 to add a number to the sim looks like I've got to hope the carrier can activate it. I can still receive calls and messages but not a data signal.
Love the skin because unlike Samsung you can turn off icon names, however would like a bigger grid, Samsung I think goes to 7 X 8
I'm Googled to the hilt because of work and the phone works seemlessly, can't see much bloat and only a few duplicated apps such as file manager . Had to disable gallery to force apps to chose Google photos, still annoying FB still defaults to the gallery, they must hate Google .
The curved screen does bend a bit at the edge but I'm not really bothered, and I never use a case, always like the tactile feel of a naked phone, and although I'm getting some palm touches I'm getting used to it. Onsite I flick the clear case on to make that easier .
The free case and screen protector a nice touch.
Warp charging batters the fast charging from Samsung on a 1200 quid phone .
The finger print is lightning fast, it embarrasses Samsung , seriously fast .
I bought this in the UK for 559 with 2 year warranty, it's being discounted due the 8 coking out . That's exactly half what i paid for the Ultra, that's quite something. Half the price but I'd say 90% of the Ultra . Ok water resistance and wireless charging etc but I don't need either of those .
And 90hz on the 7T is undecipherable from the 120hz on the Ultra , and you can use QHD screen
Incredible value for money

Actually you can select a sim, you just click and hold on the number and you get both options

I'm debating for weeks now on which phone to upgrade my small Pixel 2. I love its camera but battery life sucks, even after replacing the battery.
I am able to buy a new Samsung S21 Ultra for 720 euros or try to import the new Pixel 6 Pro for 900 euros.
Which one would you choose and why?
Cheers
Personally I'd stick with the s21 ultra. If the pixel was a massive jump I might of swapped over but it's not great, battery is a bit rubbish. It's just ok...I think the s21 wins in more ways. Id like stock android though for sure
I would stay with the S21, other than stock android and a few software tricks it beats the Pixel 6 Pro hands down.
S21 Ultra any day...
Or the Pixel 6 if you are not into photography and don't need the extra 4x optical zoom of the Pro

I'm into photography. Love the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom that that I won on a giveaway 2 years ago and gave to my wife (features that she doesn't use, tbh).
But I've read that the S21 Ultra is terrible taking pictures for moving stuff because of the shutter lag. Is this true?
Where I live I can't get the snapdragon version, unfortunately.
Thank you all for your opinions.
I had the Pixel 3 XL then Pixel 4 XL because Google kept showing off great features that were eventually only released in the U.S. Call screening, call waiting, even certain features of Google Photos. They are doing that same bull**** about the Pixel 6 chip is needed for the eraser feature, yet the feature has been proven to work on older Pixels. They excel in camera/photos and new features but fail to deliver a whole package when it comes to phones. And they are the best in class for bait and switch tactics with their phones. As I mentioned, I got the Pixel 2 for call screening, and then they dropped the bombshell coming soon outside the U.S. The same with the Pixel 4, it's coming soon so I stayed with them. Now nearly 4 years later the feature has arrived, I gave up waiting.

They integrate more with Google, supporting Google Messages, Photos, Discovery, etc. But the are still niggles that I've had to get used to. The biggest annoyance is Samsung making screenshots part of the photos/camera storage folder so they are included in Google Photos backups. I am moving off Google services bit by bit due to them just cancelling things or removing free from things. You can use Android gestures for navigation so the switch was easier than I thought it would be. Everything Samsung say the phone can do it does and that is better than Google ever claimed.

I do not understand this question, it's basically lacking any base knowledge of how Android works?
"What were the downsides and upsides from switching from stock android from your old Pixel?"
Load or remove what you use or do not use, it's no different. The only thing is Samsung makes some cool APPS, that you can use if you like. Just like you can go with third party APPS from the Galaxy Store or Play Store. Running plan-jane Android is no longer some great thing. Wake UP!
I think many stock android comments go back to the day that touchwiz and other variants were awful.
That being said development wise you get a lot more than on the s21. Updates for longer also.
As I said though this alone isn't enough to rock a pixel

Maybe that's why I didn't get the question, I was thinking stock, and now you bring up launchers. All good, hey can't we just download and use google's launcher now anyway, on any Android? For me, thinking stock smooth, is just no longer a thing, it was, a while back, because of bloat and slow down, but today, there really is no such things, all these upper end phones are smooth as butter. BTW, I do switch and use Nova Launcher always.
S21 Ultra Pros:
- Feels more premium. Pixel 6 Pro and the iPhone 13 sound plasticy or hollow when tapped. The s21 ultra absorbs the touch. It's something you have to feel, but it's definitely noticeable.
- 10x Zoom. Wow. This is the only way the camera wins, but it's nice.
- Screen. I had a P6P and the screen is noticeably brighter, and adjusts to the lighting so much faster on the S21 Ultra. I can't believe how long it was taking the P6P to adjust.
- Way less Jank and is faster. The P6P had issues hanging when scrolling in apps. Nothing like this on the S21U
- FP Sensor. The fingerprint sensor is much faster on the S21U
- Heat. My S21U running games doesn't get noticeably hot, the P6P does.
- Battery life. My battery on my S21U has been better overall, but I don't know if that's due to only having the pixel for a little over a week.
Pixel 6 Pro Pros:
- Camera. Camera wins in every way besides the 10x. Samsung over smooths faces or something. It's ridiculous how good the hardware is and how bad the processing is on the S21U
- AOD. The always on display turns off in your pocket. No idea why Samsung took this option away.
Other Notes:
- I've heard the haptics are better on P6P, but I think both are great.
- I've also heard that the P6P has an older modem, but I did not notice any slower loading while on cellular in my testing.
- The charging time is reported to be better on the P6P, but in my testing they were similar.
I went back to the S21U. I just didn't think there were any upgrades that made it worth choosing the Pixel over the S21U as the S21U is better in almost every way.

Thanks for the comparison and tour inputs. I are almost decided to go with the S21 Ultra. I love the point and shoot great pictures that I get on my Pixel 2 but I guess the S21 Ultra photos are good as well, from the reviews I´ve seen...
Cheers

Personally I'd stick with the s21 ultra. If the pixel was a massive jump I might of swapped over but it's not great, battery is a bit rubbish. It's just ok...I think the s21 wins in more ways. Id like stock android though for sure

Hmmmm. This is false. I own both devices. The battery appeared rubbish first couple of days. Due to Google's amazing adaptive battery, I'm getting around 10:16 min-ishscreen on time. That Tensor AI is the real deal. I continually become more more impressed as I noticed the device getting better and learning.
The smart features in the pixel 6 pro alone makes it worth it. I typed this entire message by voice, without touching the keyboard at all. The AI automatically inserted all the punctuation and deep learned the grammar checking all on it's own.
I think people underestimate how good pixels improve over time with Google magic.
The other smart features are incredibly convenient, intuitive and without getting too hyperbolic, amazing. Live translate allows you to literally translate anything anytime, anywhere with your keyboard or microphone. Being able to see hold times when you call ridiculous companies like insurance companies is downright cool. I recently got into a car accident and been having to call Geico repeatedly. One hour hold times. I'm able to see when those hold times. As soon as i preemptively see the call volume subside throughout the day, this allows me to make the perfectly timed pinpointed call. Call screening is amazing too. Telemarketers and Scam callers get tea bagged. Not even to mention live caption...
The smoothness and raw ui usage speed is slightly better than my s21 ultra.
The six pro screen is the clearest most beautiful screen I've ever seen on a smartphone. All videos and anything other than websites actually look like beautiful web pages with perfect clarity.
Additionally, The six Pro has just been released. Like literally just released. It's had only one day one update. As amazing as the 6 pro is, it'll even get dramatically better than it is now -- in the next couple months, with those updates. People forget how crappy the s21 Ultra or the 9 Pro software was on day one.
Don't get me wrong. I adore my s21 ultra. But my carefully calibrated and monitored opinion is the Pixel 6 Pro is better.
Now, if we're talking the s22 Ultra compared to the pixel 6 Pro, now we have legitimate conversation.
S21 ultra. the pixel 6 pro is hyperthetic

Yeah but I live in Portugal. Besides the fact that I have to import it from France or Germany none of those smart features you mentioned work in my language/country. Samsung doesn't make it those distinctions and their hardware is supported and sold all over the world.

I bought both of these because I couldn't make up my mind. It was a very hard choice but I plan to return the Pixel 6 Pro for a refund and keep the S21 Ultra.
The software on the Pixel seems buggier. There have been a few times while using the browser that it just straight locked up. Mostly while browsing XDA. Stock Android is also very meh to me.
After using both for only a week I've noticed the camera is only marginally better on the pixel if you aren't doing any zoom shots. If you're zooming at all, it's not that great. I took a bunch of photos with both phones and both consistently looked really good.
The pixel is easier to hold in the hand and I think it feels a little bit more premium than the S21 Ultra.
I think the S21 Ultra may be better for battery.
Odd that the price difference is like that. Here in the states, the S21 Ultra is like $300 more than the pixel 6 pro.
Was it a good move? I'm thinking about it.
I have the Tab S6 and just got my Tab S8 Ultra today. The Tab S6 was my favorite device ever (and I've had a lot of them). So thin, fast, great speakers and screen. Ultimately, I am just too accustomed to the higher refresh rate on all of my other devices and could notice the 60hz choppiness on the S6, so it was time for an upgrade. The screen on the S8 is absolutely stunning! I also LOVE the ability to miracast from my PC to the S8 and use it as a wireless second display for my laptop (called second screen), especially since the 16x10 aspect ratio matches my XPS 17. It will still take time to tell, but initially I am very impressed. I suppose the decision to switch will depend on your usage. If you're good with the screen size and refresh rate of the S6 and don't need any of the new features on the S8 than I would say just stick with your S6, it's still a fantastic device. If you plan on using the second screen feature or any of the other new stuff on the S8, well then it's something to consider.
There was a gap of about a year for me between these devices. But I loved my Tab S6. Now the Tab S8 Ultra ... a different league again. It is better in all respects (when you already decided to prefer the big screen). The first thing I notet though: finally a good fingerprint reader. With the S6 I was constantly annoyed, with the S8 it works like a charme.
I also bougt the keyboard cover again. I loved the back cover with the stand and the flap for the pen back then already. But now the tablet pretty much replaced my private laptop.
You have to be aware of the much increased weight, though. This is not a one handed device. But with this huge screen, you can put it in portrait orientation in your lap and the upper part of the screen will be easily far up enough for a comfortable read. Don't forget: its smaller side is almost as big as the wider side of the S6!
It is an amazing device and up at the top of my purchases that left me with the highest satisfaction afterwards.
I didn't own a Tab S6, but a an old Tab 4. I took the leap and purchased the Tab S8 Ultra. There is obviously no comparison between the Tab 4 and Ultra. What I would say is that I'm beyond impressed with the speed of the device. In some instances it's quicker then my S22 ultra or basically on par speed wise. I don't really use the 2nd screen function, but being able to make /pull calls between my S22 and tab is awesome. The speaker quality is great. Don't really use the camera, except for teams meetings. Due to size of screen it's a replacement for my HP Notebook . In my country there isn't really any contracts for the Tab S8 range, so I had to purchase the device cash and I'm very, very happy with my purchase. Multitasking is great. The screen quality is awesome. Watching media content is a pleasure on this device. I got the 65w Samsung trio charger and Samsung keyboard case as part of a bundle. I love the keyboard. I know some have issues typing, but for me it works fine for what I do. The S-pen is something I do use and it works great. Overall it's a great device. I don't know what the difference in speed etc is between the Tab S6 and 8, but if you could get a good trade in or sell the Tab S6, then I would say go ahead and get the Tab S8 Ultra
I have tab s5e, tab s6 and s8+ . In terms of holding single handed, nothing beats the s5e. Between the s6 and s8(not plus) I believe there's not much difference other than faster soc.The second screen function of s8 could be very useful though. I went for the s8+ instead of ultra because wanted a bigger screen but ultra seemed too big for me
I'm getting an 8+ tonight after work. I've been using Samsung phones since the s4 when it originally was released. I skipped the s6, but had one variation or another up to my current s20. I started with galaxy note tablet (2014 edition), upgraded to the tab s6 in 2020 only because my note tab was having battery issues. Now I'm getting the s8+ 5g so I won't have to use Wi-Fi always for my online videos.
I went from the Tab S6 to the S8+.
So far i am very happy with it. It did help i got a good deal from Samsung, and got a decent price for the Tab S6 too.
The extra screen size is very nice, specially with 12L now on the tablet. Great thing for me is that i can browse or watch youtube will a game runs on the side in a small part of the screen without stopping. Or use the taskbar to open your password manager to get some passwords etc.
Its a bit heavier, so it wont be an easy one handed device.
If you used the keyboard cover with touchpad, you can use the one that was also sold with the Tab S7+, i could not get that one from Samsung itself anymore. They do sell one with just a Keyboard, but that one aint detachable, so thats a big minus. I managed to get mine 2nd hand for 60 euro, but there are retailers still selling them. They attach by magnet now, that works a lot easier, and it wont come loose like the Tab S6 one did over time. The one with the detachable keyboard, also has a cover over the S-pen location on the back, the new one doesn't so thats a 2nd strike for me on that cover.
The extra realestate is nice, 12,4 inch is noticable.
If you use the tablet a lot, then i think its a worth while upgrade.
Made the switch from Tab S6 LTE to Tab S8+ 5G
We don't really have benefits of trade-ins or great values the same way many other countries do. I'm in Sweden
But we have a website that usuaully have sepcific deals, that requires that you login (you pay like €2 to get access).
Lots of deals on everything really.
So got the S8+ 5G and the hard cover from Samsung for about €650 with a 6 months of free Samsung care+
Didn't want the Ultra as it was too big for me and also because I have a relatively new notebook already which is 14"
So far I love the extra screen size and the ability to use it as a 2nd monitor when I'm out and about.
As a tablet it is, imo, perfect but biggger would be too big, especially since I have use for a notebook.
But as a tablet it is great and it will be a lot of cloud gaming and movies watched on it on the go. Also some work when I have no access to my notebook.

Sold mine to ReBuy, they refurbish and resell electronics. They offered me 390 for my blue Tab S6. Maybe they also operate in your country?

We have sites like it where you can trade in but they usually never give as good or close to what you can get on the 2nd hand market.
I looked at one of them here and mince, which looks pristine when you remove it from the case is worth about €180 as they use set prices. The worse it is, I get less based form that value as the highest.
Thanks for the tipe though and I will see if I can find others.
So for that I rather sell it myself 2nd hand and get €250 - €300 or just hand it down to my better half that can use it.
I was on a Tab S6 LTE version before I moved to Tab S8 Ultra. S6 served me well for 2 years. I bought it just when Covid lockdowns started and have used it almost daily for 2 years without any issues. Amazing piece of hardware with great sound and screen. I wouldn't have got Tab S8 Ultra if the deal wasnt so good. Basically someone was selling 3 months old Tab S8 ultra along with the official keyboard case for about $1000 which was a steal in my country where this combo would have costed about 1900$.
First thing which hits you is how big the display is compared to Tab S6, it is gorgeous and sound is mind blowing. Only con i would say is that it is a bit on heavier side if you have one part of keyboard case attached to the back for kickstand so it wont be as mobile as tab s6 which was light as a feather. But thats what you pay for such a big screen. I have a pretty new Sony Tv but still I prefer watching a lot of content on S8U because quality is just too damn good.
I just bought the s8 ultra.. I found it used for 3-4 months, 512 - 16 with the keyboard for 800€. I think it's a good price otherwise I wouldn't get it..
I have s6 pro also. The experience of s8 ultra is mixed.. It really is very big. For the average person I think 10.5-11 inches tablet is best solution. But for Netflix, streaming etc is fantastic. I don't know if I will sell s6 as I also use it too, regardless having s8 ultra..
I should probably root s8 ultra to find more uses for it.
I want to use it as a second screen for my pc, but wirelessly the experience is laggy. What rooter should I get to have instant wireless experience as a second screen? Does anyone know? I had spoken to someone in YouTube who did have instant wireless experience but he had gigabit home network or something..
If I buy this cheap rooter do you think it will work?

You don't need to root it to use it as second screen on a pc. Secondly since it has warranty left, rooting will void warranty because it requires bootloader unlock to root it, which voids whole warranty all together once KNOX chip becomes triggered and broken permanently. Then also app like Samsung pass, secret folder is permantly disabled as well since they need working KNOX chip. Maybe you should wait and think when warranty is over.
Update: after re-reading your post i now saw you meant Router not Rooter, since at first I thought you mean what rooting method you wanted to do lol.

I know that.. I already rooted tab s6. I know I don't have to root it for second screen. I want to root it for other things. Anyway I just tried second screen. It works but not very fast. I have a router 300mbit. I'll borrow a 840mbit router of a friend to see if speed is fast enough then..
I'll post my results when I do it.
took the upgrade from s6 to s8 ultra and landed the free keyboard case. no regrets at all
Tab 7 here. Always have luved the tab (since s2). Had my Tab 6 for about 2 months before I got the tab s7. Was a little disappointed that 7 didn't have amoled but it was another good one. The tab s8 plus is everything I could hope for in a tablet... Luving the sh** out of it.
can someone tell about the temperatures of the s8 and s8+ now that it haves the gen 1 please
