I recently sold my Motorola Droid 4, which before I did, stock-rooted it with ICS 4.0.4 the leaked version. My question is, the person I sold it to wants it to be used with Metro PCS, which I'm not sure if it can. I've been searching everywhere and can't find an answer. I just want to make sure that it is able to be flashed so it can work with Metro PCS and if it can't work if someone could please let me know. If any other info is needed for this, please let me know. Thanks in advance for anyone's help!

It is unlikely to work as the phone is designed for worldwide roaming. In the USA it's locked to Verizon.
Can you pick up a cheap pay as you go SIM from MetroPCS and test? Do they even do PAYG SIMs in the USA?

Thanks for your reply! That's what I was afraid of hearing, however. I'm going to check into it a little more, because I really don't know if they do PayG SIMS here. Hopefully I can find out. Thanks!
I keep searching, but can't find anything. Is there a site that I can buy the code from or is it even GSM capable in the country?

I just called and spoke to the International services people. They waived the 90-day requirement for me, and unlocked the phone. Haven't tested it yet, though.

HI dev ,
i am from Nagpur, did you got any solution for Sprint MOTO X ? pl help me if you have any solution. i bought two phones from eBay.
Thanks.
Sorry.. as far as I know .. no solutions yet .
sent from the ONE !!!
No man can hack it, what a pity!
Unlocking the phone for use with GSM Sim without Sprint service is not possible as Moto only releases the codes to the specific carrier and Sprint will not give it to you.
If you do get it unlocked, it will not work in the US on a GSM network ie: T-Mobile or ATT. They're hardware restricted from working on local GSM networks p/fca allowances. I have seen a few devices like some black Berry's work locally after being unlocked but they are few and far between.

Thank you! I was going to do a video today if my Sim came in but it did not. Haha
This should be much appreciated since it isn't that difficult and the toolkits are having some difficulty at the moment.

Welcome! Yeah i wanted to get one out there to help anyone who has trouble.:victory:
Glad to see this will help!
Edit: Well, apparently at&t doesnt have the nexus to purchase, just to be activated on if you buy from google.
I plan on getting any nexus phone in about 2 years when my contract is up. So im ditching verizon and going to at&t, and say i have a at&t nexus 5 right now, would this unlock the bootloader? Also, isnt there only one model of the nexus 5 for north america and another for elsewhere? Thanks
Hi, My friend Joined Boost Mobile and they gave him an HTC One. He is not happy with Boost and is going to change carriers. He wants to know if he can flash his phone for another carrier like Sprint or Verizon or ATT or T-mobile or is he better off selling the phone on Ebay and getting a phone through his new carrier?
Thanks for any input you can give.

When we talked about this, he said the phone doesn't have a sim. I have no idea if thats true or not. I texted him to double check. He got the phone from Boost when he signed up with them.

Looks like a Sprint variant/owned by Sprint, don't know how they operate, so cannot help you. You might wanna check the HTC One Sprint section if anybody knows: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-htc-one

itll work on any provider.
sprint will have to enter the imei into their system though. with that you can have many issues, as their general salespeople/phone staff have no idea how to do it.
