Is any experiencing an issue where the resolution in games extend past the rounded curves of the phone display cutting off the picture in the corners?

I think it is normal the cut, I don't think much of the screen is lost
When looking at my note 9. The RM3 does clip a little of the picture. Example call of duty. Main screen your user icon my note 9 shows it all but my RM3 clips the corner of it. But it's really not an issue when playing.

Hey Friends,
First of all I have to warn you, I am a bit of a perfectionist as I am German
I've noticed that the display of the watch is not 'perfectly round' as I can observe very small impurities around the edge of the display.
The Jagged Edge is mostly visible at the very top of the display. Attached you find a picture, unfortunately on the pic you cannot see it very clearly.

Looking at it with the naked eye you can see it much better that the display is not perfectly round around the edges.
I was wondering if this was due to the manufacturing process of the round display or if it was a hardware problem only on my device.
Can you put the brightness on full and check if you see it on your device?
It looks as if a few pixels are missing around the top edge of the circle.
Would love to hear from you! Thanks
Thomas from Germany
the display isn't perfectly round
you can't get a perfect circle out of square pixels and in this generation, the ppi is still low enough that you can see jagged edges - if you are really looking for them
Hi
I just booted my Galaxy Note 5 SM-9208(Made in China).
However, I am seeing something that I feel is not normal. The wallpapers look like as if they have been spray painted(need to look a bit closer). This is some sort of graininess or pixelation over the screen.
Is it due to Pen Tile Effect which is natural for an AMOLED display? Or it is my eyes? I had Galaxy S6 for 2 months but this thing was not visible on S6. Even if it is Pen Tile effect it should not be visible at QHD resolution in my view.
It is most prominent over grey backgrounds. Here are my snaps:-
and zoomed
Thanks for your time.
Siddhartha
I can't see the snapshots.

Check here
and
Are you referring to the oblique lines going from bottom left to top right, and I think that's the same as the dark checkered lines at the close up shot? I don't know if that's the screen itself, or something produced by the camera. I don't see such on my screen.

Yup. The lines will come up once you zoom your camera with max brightness.
But to bare eyes, these might appear as spray painted sort wall paper. Even a white background appears as grainy and pixelated.
Simple question really. I'm just wondering why there is a thin black circle bordering the watch faces/UI in general. It appears to be on the same surface as the actual screen, so I'm wondering if those are deliberately disabled pixels to form a border or something. It just looks weird sometimes that the watch face doesn't really extend all the way to the edges of the available space.
Maybe a quick email/message to LG could get your answer?

That's because the display shifts slightly from time to time to prevent burn in. If you watch it long enough you will see it move.

Yeah, I know that it does shift around while in ambient. Even watching that though, it never shifts completely to the edge of the total display area. Besides, other watches like the moto 360 have full edge to edge displaying and their ambient mode shifts around. I guess it's the one little thing that irks me about the watch.
I haven't compared Note 4 and Note 8 side by side, but it appears to me that despite having a much larger overall screen estate, the Note 8's width in portrait orientation might be narrower than the Note 4? I don't think I've seen screen specs that would somehow factor in the curved sides (i.e. lost effective screen estate) of the Note 8.
In other words, do 16:9 videos appear smaller on the Note 8 than on the Note 4? And e-books: I'm guessing they would need to have slightly wider side margins to avoid letters being distorted by the curved edge (though, of course, more text would fit overall, due to the larger vertical screen estate)?
And while I'm at it - and coming from Note 4 and never having owned a curved screen phone - isn't it distracting that two edges of the video frame are curved (distorting the peripheral image and dispersing light) while the sides are "cut sharp" by letterboxing?
I hope I don't come across as a "hater", because I'm not, far from it. I'm still happy with my fully functional Note 4, just considering my options and trying to get a grasp on the new fancy tech...
The physical size should be very similar watching a 16:9 video on both however the perceived size would likely be the Note 8 being smaller due to the curved edges which would frame the video content and the black border on either side.
The best way to see if you are comfortable with the curved edges (they are a good thing and a bad thing in equal measure) is to just pop to a store and compare your existing device with the store model.
As I say perceived size and real physical are often different.

I noticed that tilting the screen if my S10+ make the white turn a little bit into pink... anyone else? It's really really barely noticeable. I have leaved on original screen protector and since to me for now is fitted perfectly on the screen, I don't want to take it off only to check that it's the cause of this kind of "rainbow effect ". Someone else could check it?
Sorry for my english...
Yeah, noticed the same. My S9+ don't have it. Also S9+ screen is is more white compared to S10
Have peeled screenprotector of but stays the same. Screens looks better though without protector.
My S9+ also have more "white" screen compared to this S10+, however screen shifted a little bit to blue/green if tilted...
I've noticed it as well on my S10e without the screen protector. Not that noticeable and not as bad as the Pixel 3 but once you see it, you can't un-see it
Could be wrong but OLED/AMOLED have this trait - not issue but rather if screen is tilted it will have a red/pink hue - same when I had a Mate 20 Pro and while the same its less noticeable on S10+ ( better panel maybe )
Blacks are spot on but whites aren't perfect.
So i think i will leave the screen protector on until i'll have to replace it...
I have this issue too, TMobile US. But only towards the bottom portion of the screen, the top part is fine. Which leads me to believe it's a defect in my particular case. It's very distracting. Also fingerprint sensor works whenever it feels like.
Have to return it now.

Mine is different, i notice this pink/purple hue only tilting the screen more than 30 deg in any direction, if i look at it straight, whites are perfect.
Mine is the opposite , I keep blue light filter on all the time and the Samsung screen gaurd
When tilt i get a greener tinge
Just looks normal, tilt any screen or look at it from oblique angle things look differently
