Recently, I've bought a new phone online. and i was unaware that Samsung Pay rewards cant be transfer if the phone origin is different.
here's some info,
New Phone : Samsung Note 8 (Singapore Set)
Old Phone : Samsung Note 5 (Malaysia Set)
I know that any rooting action could trip KNOX and then i am unable to use samsung pay anymore.
So, is there any chance that I can change my current phone's origin country to be same as my old phone?
or is there anyway i can download Samsung Pay app that match my old phone?
this problem literally give me headache as i am enjoying using samsung pay and i have collected quite a few points back then. It is so disappointment thinking my point is gonna be wasted.
I will post the CSC Code given by Phone INFO apps on both phone later

Hey there. I just changed my CSC and it works. My KNOX still 0x0 (means okay) and I can use samsung pay already.
Here's what ive done:
1) reset the phone by using Factory Reset with your simcard inside
2) reset your phone once
3) open dialpad and type *#272*IMEI#
4) Chose your required CSC and proceed. The phone will restart itself.
5) Now you have it and try open your samsung pay app to see if it successful or not. Alternatively you can download "info phone ☆samsung☆" at google play store to see your data.
Note : some phone might not be able to do this. J have no idea why.
Note2: all your data will be WIPE OFF. So please do some backup first.
i did it change of csc code on note 8 , excellent works , good
Now i can answer all your question , i have re searched all the issues,,
to know which region or phone model , imie info to see , use phone info app
i order in dubai , uae , note 8 - sm-n950f and also i have dual sim sm-n950f duos, if you take it to india or other region and use dail code #*272*imie code * it wont happen , so samsung pay or any apps etc for india region will not work or if polant or other as its xsg when u see in phone info app
and to change your css to ins without trigger knox or warrenty ,,
so simple steps . use samfirm_0.3.4 and download the original stock firmware for the region INS or what ever you need which u want to shift to
then use odin3-v3.12.7 and then flash u r stock firm ware mobiile by selecting all files as normally what every site says
once ok pass , disconnect the cable and put which ever region sim card you flash with , this is important then it restarts twice and switch u totally to INS (that is india my case ) or else it will stick to UAE ,, trust me on this
and it works perfect and wonderfull for note 8 , i have no issues , all info and imie and things are great

So, we have to reset the phone twice?
Maybe it just works on the international version.

Hello Hafeez, I have been wanting to enable VoLTE functionality on my Galaxy Note 8 N9500 Duos(Qualcomm Snapdragon) bought from UAE. Though its from UAE I was given a N9500 Version which is a Honkong / Chinese version of the phone. I am in India and want to use Samsung pay and also VoLTE.
Samsung pay would only take me to Install Honkong version of samsung pay.
Is it possible to flash a INS (Indian) firmware on this phone ?
Hi I have the same phone but I'm in Malaysia I need to use Samsung Pay and VoLte. Did you find a solution?

we can get VOLTE working in INDIA by rooting and enabling some settings in IMS.
Once you have rooted you device, it will trigger Knox and disable all Samsung's propritory software.
Greeting
I am looking if the N960N NOTE 9 Korean version does support the DUOS, I have a Samsung note 9 which is ( second hand ) definitely support 2 sims, it is written on the back cover DUOS, and the sim card tray is showing sim 1 and sim2 written on it , also the device back shows 2 IEMI but same numbers, when I got the phone I noticed that it is rooted ( which I don't like), so flashed it with oden to original stock firmware, but got problem that the Korean version of the software is not showing nither the sim manager or 2 sims IMEI numbers like before , now I am looking for a software (stock) which may bring the 2nd sim card slot back, any suggestion or numbers or versions ?
the version I used until now:-
1- N960NKSU3CSI2_N960NOKR3CSI2_KOO
2-N960NKSU3CSJ1_N960NOKR3CSJ1_KOO

süre, you go to DR KATAN procedure fır detailed one , but will go quickly with this :-
unlock OEM on developer option ( this is the hardest part as long as it wont just appears when you go developments,
then you go download the patched oden version ,
then you boot download mode and flash the TWRP recovery file , you need to press vol up and baxby and power when pressing start on odin , after that you will be in the recovery mode and able to flash the Dr Katan rom , you will see 2nd sim working in his rom

hello brother i'm having same issue with my note 9 N960N as u mention ealeir can u share the detail and rom with me please
hello there ,
I cannot post link due to reputation, but i will guide you to the right way , in google search for dr ketan rom n960 note 9 , then you there download the rom file and put keep in computer , then go To developers option and unlock OEM , then get The Patched version of oden and follow these steps :-
1- download TERP recovery file from official site for the note 9 latest version
2-open oden and choose the recovery file you downloaded as AP file
3- power off the phone , hardly press power button + volume down and connect the cable from computer to the phone , the phone will boot to download mode.
4-press power + volume up together , and press start , wait until your phone will boot to recovery mode , after that you need to WIPE EVERYTHING OFF FROM YOUR PHONE , i will suggest you keep copy of phone with smart switch.
5- from here you can flash the rom you downloaded before by copy it to phone via cable and flash it as any other rom
NOTE THAT THIS MAY DAMAGE YOUR PHONE AND I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE OF THAT , YOU DO IT ON YOUR OWN RISK....
after phone boots you will be able to use your 2nd sim
Happy flashing
Hi all,
I'm coming into a such weird situation and I'll try to mention all the aspects.
I bought my note 9 a week ago from an online store (noon.com in UAE).
Seems like the phone is korean variant. Here's what is weird:
1- Model no. : SM-N960FD
2- model no. In the software (settings): SM-N960F/DS
3- phone's back at the very bottom (small text) reads: *N950F*
4- the phone was sealed and had samsung sticker which states it has never been opened before.
5- I came to realize that the spen has no bluetooth as there has been connectivity issue forever.
6- as i opened the hotspot, the device name is "DrKetanRom_5e10" which is a custom rom i believe.
7- I can't fine phone update section in settings.
8- The device is rooted when using root checker app.
9- phone status is custom.
10- SE for android status mentions DrKetan as well.
11- the camera lens has variable aperture which proves it's a note 9
12- knox status is 0x0!.
I am very confused! The phone seems totally new and is scratchless all around. I don't know if maybe Korean or chinese version phone comes with no android basic stuff as other shipped phones so Samsung re-installed the software or somethinhg?
If any body can help, that would be highly appreciated!!
Thanks.

If you go to bootloader mode you will see that it is n960n, not n960f.
I think these are SKTelecom phones from Korea.
they are original phones but have been refurbished or I don't know the exact term but they are repurposed to be sold like n960f - ds phones.
I also have a similar phone but I got all things intact no issues, I am actually running Dr. Ketan Q rom.
Only My Download mode shows some Korean stuff and I'm used to it from my note 4 days. I had an n910s
Just put your IMEI number on https://www.imei.info/ and it will show your phone details.
I also believe there are certain apps on play store that gives out device info.
All the best, since its already rooted just, go nuts with a badass custom ROM already.
Samsung Phone Information app from playstore has a refurbishment check. And yes it has been rooted with custom rom.

You are definitely correct, the model number in bootloader mode shows n960n! And download mode shows "download mode" in korean.
So can i just flash the stock rom of sm-n960f/ds and recieve the android Q whenever sasung releases it for the note 9? Or I'm already stuck now?
Also i coming from a note 3, so i have no ideas what are some popular roms for the note 9, also I don't want to loose spen functionality, so can you recommend a rom to install that is stable and saves battery?
Thanks alot for your help!

I would recommend that you install the N960N OS back onto it. As the N960N is a single SIM device. I don't know what will happen if you install a the dual SIM variant's OS onto it.

SM-N960F firmware is the same used for SM-N960F/DS. He should flash the Original firmware meant for the phone. SM-N960N.
Also, if his IMEI that pops up when dialing *#06# matches what is on the back of the phone, then he can flash the SM-N960F firmware.
Actually my phone is dual sim, and sm-n960n is a dual sim firmware.
IMEI is consistent in everywhere, with the box, with the back of the phone, when checking it on the internet.
I know that samsung will not support the note 9 after android Q upgrade, so shall i install a custom rom instead? If yes which one shall i install?
Is there a need - as of now- to install a custom rom, or the stock rom is fine (battery and performance wise)?
Or shall i go for stock android experience (project treble) to enjoy maximum performance?
What do you think?
Sorry for annoyance !
if you dont want it i might trade u for a brand new tmobile branded note 9. but u probably dont want it. (long shot)
im currently looking into what i can do with it if anyone knows feel free im also utilizing att but phone is tmo with device lock app untouched as of right now. . (needing leads)
jus wanted to get in on this thread so i can follow progress
It is probably a real phone but with the software modified.
Just flash the boot loader for n960n from Odin and the Twrp recovery then flash any rom that supports n960n ds or f rom. It works. I've tried ambasadi rom, the galaxy project and dr ketan. All worked for me. Just backup using TWRP and read all dev recommended steps before you flash anything. Or if you prefer stock there was a particular thread I think. All the best.

please tell if it has arabic language and how can u solve spen blutooth proplem because i bought new one like u from noon uae
Pretty much, My friend gave me his Note 8, screen was cracked but the phone still worked and whatnot ,I still wanted to use the phone for root use and I tried OEM unlocking thinking this phone was the exynos model N950F, realising the phone is not on the latest version. I was kinda confused why until I saw the error when updating "Your current software version isn't supported. Visit a service centre" I realised something else was strange, the current version displayed different numbers. "N950FXXU4DSD1", "N9500ZZH4DSD1", "N950USQU5DSC1". I then asked my friend where he bought this phone from and told me it was from eBay. I then proceeded to install CPUID CPU-Z which says my model is the chinese SM-N9500 (Snapdragon). I also installed Phone INFO and noticed my CSC code is for N9500 Hong Kong (N9500ZZH4DSD1), My bootloader is for N950U US (N950USQU5DSC1) and my PDA is EU (N950FXXU4DSD1). I think what happened was someone refurbished this phone with parts from a Hong Kong handset but then again I noticed this is happening to other people so there might be a chance someone is flashing a bad firmware on this system. I want to try flashing firmware on this phone but i'm still not sure which one to flash

It is definitely a marriage of parts. I have seen a few posts similar to this where people more knowledgeable then me say to get a refund (does not apply to you) and don't suggest what to flash as there is a greater risk of bricking the phone. If it was me I would leave the phone as it is, flash anything at your own risk.
I have recently moved From India to France. Unfortunately I can't seem to add my cards here since Samsung Pay only accepts cards from India. I created a new Samsung account in France but that didn't seem to make any difference.
Is there any way I can change the location for my Samsung Pay for it to work here? I read somewhere that I need to change my CSC region or something? Do I have to download the France firmware to do that or is there another way? Worried I might mess up my phone if I mess with it haha. I tried factory resetting it with my French sim but it didn't make any difference? Is it possible to do it like that/ did I miss a step or something or is flashing firmware the only way to go about this? Would appreciate any and all suggestions and tips so i don't break my phone haha as I'd like to keep it functioning and under warranty.
Also if i need to flash a new firmware,
1. Do i download the France(XEF) firmware or France(SFR) firmware(since the sim card i bought here is Red by SFR).
2. Is the PDA id basically the build number of my phone? since I'd need to download that specific firmware i think.
Sorry for the stupid questions. Would appreciate all the help I can get as I've never done this before.

im guessing i need to match that to the PDA of the firmware im downloading?
for SFR there is no such PDA that ends with AUJ7 but in the XEF version there is. Does that mean i can only download the XEF version?

Hi
Flash a firmware from Europe , so you have available a french CSC
Then You need to change your active CSC to one from France , at the moment (without root) you have to use a pay service (samkey) , after that you can use you french account for samsung pay and add credit cards from that country
