Hi,
Mi 9T Pro, Global model, MIUI Global 10.3.4 - smart lock not working.
So I added my smart watch and after adding I received the notification "unlock less with your smart watch" - and once I click on it I get to "Add Trusted Device", I add my watch and all seems good, except:
- the watch will not unlock my phone (only fingerprint or pin #);
- in Settings I cannot find "Smart Lock" or "Trusted Devices"!
I connected my phone to my car's Bluetooth and same thing, received the notification, added the car (the watch was already in the list), all seems good, except: it does not unlock the phone while in the car or close to my phone! And again, I cannot find those settings anywhere (In know they belong to Google Play services - saw it in Tasks).
Check in Settings > Lockscreen and password > Advanced Options > Unlock with bluetooth device
I don't think unlock with Bluetooth works either in miui ROMs.

Unfortunately, I think you are right...
I am using unlock with Mi band 4. It works. Just have to double tap to wake the device and just swipe up without fingerprint or pin. I noticed that sometimes it stops working automatically. I am guessing it maybe something to do with running mi fit app in the background.

Hi,
I'm trying to make a task that opens an app when an NFC tag is read. Basically when I play piano I have a phone stand on the piano and I use an app called guitar tabs to bring up chords for songs that I don't know overly well. So I stuck an NFC tag on the back of the stand so when I place my phone on the stand it'll automatically unlock my phone and launches the app. So far works great I'm using wanam xposed to allow NFC tags to be read even with screen off, phone unlocks itself and launches the app.
However I have fingerprint lock enabled with smart lock too which is set up with my Gear S2 as a trusted device. While I can get it to unlock fine using secure settings > pass/pin lock thing set to disable (just seems to bypass the lock screen this way) I can't get it to re-able the fingerprint lock. It just leaves it as swipe lock. While I'm running a note 4 with a note 5 rom on 5.1.1 the secure settings > custom rom > Samsung fingerprint lock doesn't seem to have an effect on the setting. Is there anyway I can automatically enable the finger print lock again?
Hello
I have bought a while ago the application Smart Unlock. I am trying to use it on my smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 with MIUI 8.3 (undelying is Android 5.0.2) without root. But the app does not seem to work properly. I was going for an app that removes/bypasses the default Android locking screen which I currently use with 4-digit PIN code while I am connected to a trusted wifi.
Here is what I have done:
I added my wifi to the list of trusted wifi networks, I see the network with a green icon, so I assume Smart Unlock recongizes it,
I allowed Smart Unlock to "Start on boot" by checking the option in the menu,
I checked Smart Unlock's system rights and I can see that it is allowed to "turn on bluetooth", "show on lock screen" and "launch on background", on the other hand it is not allowed to "send MMS",
I set Smart Unlock as a device administrator in security system settings,
I pinned Smart Unlock to my "always-on" applications (this is to prevent turning Smart Unlock off when I kill all my open apps to release RAM).
But despite all the above mentioned steps I cannot make Smart Unlock to work. When I have my smartphone unlocked (i.e. I am standing on my desktop) I can see in the notification bar a message saying "Smart Unlock, device unlocked", so far so good. So I turn off my screen, Android locks itself, I turn the screen back on and I am requested to enter my PIN code. Now, the notification bar says "Smart Unlock - Safe zone detected, first unlock manually". So I enter my PIN code and get to my desktop, the notification bar says, again, "Smart Unlock, device unlocked". And now I am in a loop. I can again turn off the screen and upon next unlocking I am again requested to enter my PIN code to unlock the device. So, basically, I never end up in a situation when I am NOT requested to enter my PIN code while on trusted wifi.
I would be glad if you could point me in the right direction how to use your app properly. I am willing to send you any logs or screenshots that may be of help.
Thank you in advance
Michal
I have an action which opens the camera app when the phone is shaken. The problem is that it only works when the phone display is already turned on. Is there any way that I can get the action to work even if the display is off and locked? (I usually use fingerprint to unlock)
The phone is an LG V20 running Oreo.

Don't know if it works with your device, but I do the following:
1) Display -> Turn On
2) System -> Send Intent
Action: android.media.action.STILL_IMAGE_CAMERA_SECURE
Target: Activity

Can someone assist me.... For some reason am not seeing the option on my device to enable Wake up lock screen when received notification
Open settings, search Wake screen, pick first option
That's the thing, am not seeing the options, even Double Tap on screen to wake up
There is a search field in Settings. The wake screen option is somewhere in Notifications, all the gestures(double tap included) are in Accesibility features.
Use the search feature for other toggles/settings

Thanks, but am thinking is My device which is Japanese EMUI 9.1 version could be the issue,
Or is either I Factory Reset and reinstall cause not sure if I Block an important option when I was installing for the first time
The menu seems quite different from what I see in my p30 pro emui11...
Okay
Thanks for this, but for some reason am not seeing "More NOTIFICATION" not sure if is because am using EMUI 9.1
It certainly is. No update since new?
I only got the Device over the weekend.... I only did one update, didn't get any after
I think AOD (Always On Display) has something to do with it but it seems that the option to change the custom text on Lock Screen is removed from OP10 Pro. If true, it is pretty stupid. I mean remove the text set during earlier OS versions and remove the option.
Now I have a text there which could be a wrong info (ex-wife and such) but no option to edit/remove it!
Any help please.
I think you are looking for this...
Settings; personalizations; always on display; display settings; display message.
Is that it?
First of all, thanks for replying.
I do not have Personalizations at all, under Settings. "Always-On Display" is found under Settings > Wallpapers and style > AOD. Under this > More Display Settings > Info does show some info that I can add/remove, but can't edit the message that was already set before OOS13
BTW I am on OOS13.0 (Android 13), v NE2211_11_C.20. No root, no magisk, no customization of any type!
Same problem

Made an account just to post this and come out of my lurker hole.
To get Google pay option in the lock screen shortcut section available, I have to open "wallet" from the status bar drop down menu. If you open the wallet app this will not work.
Once wallet is opened from the drop down menu's icon, three dots on top right will have 1 option for lock screen settings. Click that and the first option is to change lock screen message text and the first toggle option is to allow wallet access from lock screen shortcut.
Here you can fix your text and or make that other setting available for use.
These lock screen settings are only accessible through this drop down quick menu that I have found and not the wallet app for some odd reason.
I accidentally set a "test" text to see where it would be placed and then couldn't get back to the setting and spent the next 8 hours trying to find it.
Hope this helps all who are as confused as I was.
Probably try Google Assistant application, by voice searching through it for "lock screen text" . It worked for me on Android 13 (OnePlus phone)

The issue is with the AOD custom text message, not the locksreen one.
