Hello Everyone,
I have a problem on my Mi 8, When i switched on the wifi/hotspot my device is reboot. If i use eu.rom, i don't have this problem but if i use other custom roms, i have this problem. This problem start's reason i cancelled the unlock bootloader options on developer options. After i unlocked my bootloader lock but this problem still i have. Now i want to use pixel experience rom but if i install the pe rom, i have this problem. How to i can fix this problem clearly ?
I had the same problem in my Mi8pro. When I change the region setting to any other country problem fixing but one or two days later comes again. At that time I change again. I hope it will be fixed next update.

I bought new Mi5 and I still didn't put Sim card inside wanted to configure and see what phone can but when I entered configuration menu after 1st power up I manage to choose language and few things more and phone rebooted, then I manage to almost finish configuration then freeze and reboot again, after few tries I finished configuration but freeze (usually only last few seconds) and reboot happen again. Then phone offered me update software which I manage to reach from 3rd time and successfully update only with Mi PC Suite, not from phone update app. Interesting, all flashing proces with Mi PC Suite always is going as should be, without reboots etc... Crap happen only in OS. Now I got latest China stable (I bought phone in China) which has same problem with rebooting. Then I wiped all I can, factory reset etc...nothing helps.
-Still didn't unlock phone in case I need to return it.
-Didn't try global Rom because I can't flash it
I was reading forums and found a lot people have same problem but didn't find what they done on the end to make phone work.
If anyone have some solution, let me know. Returning phone from EU to China is not 1 day Or does someone know if someone in EU can service this if needed?
thanks in advance
huh,
I solved (for now) problem with installing this, developer version of miui 8 from here
http://xiaomiadvices.com/download-miui-8-6616-china-developer-rom-recoveryfastboot/
Downloaded it and installed with English version of MI PC Suite. Developer rom is Chinese (as my default software version in phone) over latest Chinese 7.3.10 miui
With original software phone was restarting, freezing randomly every 30 seconds or 1 minute of usage.
Now need to wait to unlock phone so I can use Global version of rom to get play store etc...
I'm having the same problem in all versions. After running on the phone some hours, if you try to reset or power off the phone, it doesn't turn off at all. The screen goes off but the phone is still on. It keeps working. It can be tested turning on flashlight and powering off or resetting it, the flashlight doesn't turn off. It does not turn on again until you force reset by pressing a while the power button. I think it's related to the GPS problem, after some hours the GPS stops working, and this problem also appears.
Looks like I have the same problem.

I think its a firmware issue, because I'm not the only one affected by this problem. Two friends on miui 9 and me on miui 10...
Nvm got the same bug.
I've installed with miflash latest miui 10 global beta, ant the problem is still here. I've found this problem only when gps stops working

If I want to reboot the phone after a few hours he won't reboot and the screen stays black very annoying problem.
Same problem with last miui 10 eu
Dont have this problem on official global beta miui 8.8.7, sounds like software related issue to me rather than a hardware problem;
Yes, I think this because before unlock the bootloader and flash the miui 10 Eu i dont have this problem
Seems that this problem is fixed with the last miui 10 Eu 8.8.9

I have now this version and the problem is there again... installed with miflash. 8.8.7 is still buggy with GPS and reboot. Let's see 8.8.9...
Xiaomi.eu has noticed this problem on their latest version too: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-8/how-to/rom-miui-10-8-8-9-xiaomi-eu-t3827802 (see changelog)
Hello guys, I'm facing this problem too on MIUI Global Stable 9.6.4.0, I reported the issue on MIUI forum, it would be great if you could kindly confirm my bug report to obtain more attention. Thank you. http://en.miui.com/thread-3726710-1-1.html
Hi guys, I have a strange problem with my other Mi 8.
A week ago the screen suddenly turned off while device was still on, so I could connect it to pc and transfer files or listen sound from device. I flashed it through fastboot to stock rom but I didn't solve the problem. After 7 days, the screen turned on and it seems working fine. I think it's not a software problem cause I flashed it, but it can't be a hardware problem cause now it works...
It's a Mi 8 China version, unlocked by unofficial way with global ROM installed: should I unlock it officially? Could be this the problem?
What do you think about? Thank you.
Hi,
I've a reboot problem on my Mi8 chinese version.
I bought it second hand, it had a problem with the network and the wifi.
I opened the phone, put everything back, installed the chinese firmware, miui eu rom, twrp and the pixel experience. The phone was OK, no problem at all. it stayed like that for about a week, now it started to reboot for no reason. It has the sabe network problem.
Hi everyone,
My phone (Redmi Note 10 5G China, camellia) was lost baseband a week ago for no reason. The phone lost signal when I saw, and can't read SIM card 1 hour later. After reboot, baseband version in setting turned to unknown. The MIUI version when this problem occurs is 13.0.9. I tried to flash MIUI to the version at the time of the problem and older version (13.0.3 and 13.0.8) to repair baseband followed with tutorial on internet but had no effect.
When I flashed MIUI 13.0.4 and try to startup, the phone turn to black screen after the Redmi logo appears about 10 secs later, and then nothing happens.
The same problem happened to this phone half year ago. At that time, there was magisk in the system and I think magisk destroyed system and tried to flash to repair the system. Finally, baseband was repaired by flash MIUI 13.0.4, but baseband will lose by reboot, so I flashed again, it was solved. But a month later the same problem happened again, but it only lasted a day, and the next day it repaired itself, in the meantime, I'm just using my phone as before. About a month later I upgraded to MIUI 13.0.9 and didn't occur any problem. At that time, as long as this fault occurred, flash MIUI 13.0.4 could always solve it.
Did the failure occur on the motherboard or just is a software problem like before? If there is no hardware problem, how to solve the problem completely?
Sure Is not a magisk problem . And i dont think is related to board, or a new flash dont solve. I think Baseband is related to kernel. Probably latest update have some bugs. Or more probably u have made a wrong flash procedure. If u put the sim on second slot have same issue?
