I'm in the U.S. I just purchased a used Mi 8 that was reset and seems to have the latest Android update available. Here are more details:
Android version: 9 PKQ1.180729.001
MIUI version: MIUI Global 10.1 Stable - 10.1.3.0 (PEARUXM)
Model name: M1803E1A
The region says China. When I tap the arrow the same screen is refreshed. I'd appreciate any advice on how to change the region.
I have another issue that I think may be due to the wrong region. I cannot receive MMS texts. I'd appreciate any thoughts on this issue as well.

Hello, I bought a Remdi k20 pro 2 months ago in Japan from amazon( I'm still in Japan now) and apparently I got a the "fake" Global version one. The firmware version is 9.5.31 and I can't get any updates from the official Updater. Now I have some questions.
1) In this forum I read that I need to install a "fresh" update to overcome this "problem". I will go back to europe next year so I would like to have a European firmware if possibile, how can I download it?
2)This Redmi k20 is the chinese Version with the fake Global Firmware apparently... From the settings it is identified as "Mi 9 T Pro" ( maybe its because the "fake" Global firmware wants to make the phone look as a Global version even though is the Chinese one), does this mean that it has the B20 LTE? Is is a matter of Software or hardware? If i Install the european firmware, will the B20 LTE work?
Thanks in advance!
Good day to all. I want to update my S10 to Android 10 UI 2.0 but I am afraid of the outcome (hard brick) due to past experiences with my previous devices.
I went to Settings >Software Update>It states that My software is up to date
One UI Version : 1.1
Android : 9
I ordered my unlocked samsung device on Ebay. It is AT&T Unlocked : G973U
Baseband version: G973USQS2ASGB

I would like assistance on which firmware I should use.
I have the same issue. Not able to update my phone from Android 9 to Android 10
I've known about the method to change the region to e.g. India to get a different feature set or possible earlier updates even for the same global ROM release of MIUI (in my case EU) for some time, but I've only recently discovered that even changing the region to Belgium made it possible for me to get the 12.5.4 EU ROM which wasn't available in my original region before.
Do you know of any rollout overview by region? Is this specific for Belgium or is my original region just unlucky to not receive the updates? What's the best region in EU so I don't change my feature set but get reasonably quick updates?
Anyone with experience on that topic? Could you suggest a better place to ask this question?
So as I checked latest news there is still no planned release date for HarmonyOs on global. Is it possible to change global rom to china version then? Has anyone in this group made it?
no and no...
As the title state, I'm wondering which variant is TKFEUXM 14.0.2.0; someone say Global, other says EEA (European); from which I found on Google, seems that "EU" in the name suggests EEA.
T - Android Version
KF - Device Code
EU - Region Code
XM - Sim Lock (carrier)
->
Tiramisu
Redmi Note 10 Pro
EU variant
Unlocked
It is confusing to me.
I purchased the phone (sweet) in the UK from mi/com/uk that had MIUI Global 12.5.8
12.5.8.0(RKFEUXM) but the ADB and Device Info HW app were reporting sweet_eea
adb devices -l
List of devices attached
[...] device usb:3-3 product:sweet_eea model:M2101K6G

The first update it received was 13.0.17.SKFEUXM so EU again.
Recently I installed Lineage 20 custom ROM that was calling to flash firmware V14.0.1.0.TKFMIXM which is the Global version.
All was good until I discovered that this newly installed system shows V14.0.2.0.TKFEUXM
Does the V14.0.1 Global firmware include V14.0.2 EU firmware?
Are there any differences between EU and Global firmware?
Can those be flashed like for like?
Is my device a global or EEA device?
It is all not clear. Phone purchased in the UK, with global software and EU firmware?
What is going on here?
Any clarification and advice appreciated.
