Some site has confirmed that Asus Rog phone 2 will get Android 10. But when we still don't know. First Asus is busy getting it for Asus ZenFone 6 after that they will probably work on Asus Rog phone 2

As Oneplus has released kernel sources for Oneplus 5t as mentioned in this post by @Funk Wizard
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/development/oneplus-5t-kernel-sources-t3705825
Hope they keep Board Support Package(BSP), the proprietary libraries, Unified just like they did with Oneplus 3 and 3t.
As Oneplus 5 is not available anymore, Developers wont get Oneplus 5 and will obviously go and Develop for Oneplus 5t.
Thus we'll have to rely on Unified builds for Custom Roms on this just 4 months 26 days old device.
I hope Oneplus unifies it.
Edit 1. I think this post by @eng.stk in Oneplus-5t forum suggests possibility of unified development ?

What do you guys think?
A lot of awesome devs have already bought the oneplus 5 so I don't think we need to worry.
Op5 will get Oreo in 2018, op5t in December. This is exactly why I won't buy another HTC phone again after my Sensation. OnePlus is going that way with big steps.

OP5 is getting Oreo beta this month, OP5T gets Oreo next month. It's 3/3T all over again.

Well, I missed that part with the beta, I only watched when he said early 2018 for op5. Anyway, that's a good news everyone!

You are seeing this wrong guys.
Android Oreo 5T open beta starts late December.
Android Oreo 5 open beta starts later this month.

HTC U11 already gettin' Oreo. In Taiwan. And not beta or gamma or delta.
The open beta for N for the OP3 launched on 30 Nov, 2016.
The open beta for N for the OP3T launched on 31 Dec, 2016.
Open beta builds were unified in early 2017.
Hopefully, the stable Oreo build slated for release in early 2018 will be a unified build for the 5 and 5T. **fingers crossed**

It doesn't matter now anymore. They already lost their fanbase and customers because of their sh***y update policy, they were neck to neck with Samsung, look where's HTC now.

My biggest worry is that they aren't porting project Treble. Leaked beta doesn't seem to have it.

You can safely assume it never will, coz it wasn't launched with oreo.

Not necessarily true. Essentially Phone did not launch with Oreo and it has it with the latest beta O.

OnePlus officially stated in their AMA yesterday that the 5/5T builds will "eventually" be "synced" like they did with the 3/3T.
Yay!

No treble, just like I feared.

That was always on the cards.
Thats already one feature OnePlus 6 will be having making it different from Op5t.
Start counting.
OnePlus is smart enough to not launch Op5t with Oreo or they could have delayed its released by 1 month and Launch with treble support.
Any news about release date of Android 10 for ROG 2? I searched everywhere but I didn't find anything
The phone isn't even released WW yet. Have some patience lol

What I'm worried about is the silence about this update.
Usually when you start selling a phone that isn't at the last software you say that it will be updated in X time. This time NOTHING, nobody said something about it.
Asus has yet to prove themselves. While Zenfone 6 got a beta for Android 10, no other phone of theirs has. The first rog phone still doesn't have pie. Just learn to be happy with no updates to be honest than have false hope.
if no support later,we can flash GSI

https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/wiki/Generic-System-Image-(GSI)-list

it will receive android 10

How To Install android 10 On note 9?
i dont mind without one ui, but i want to one ui 2.
That's easy, just step in your time machine and travel a few months in to the future. Once arrived update your Note 9 and come back here. You'll have it all Android 10 and OneUI 2.0. Good luck, travel safe.
At this point there's no Android 10 for the Note 9, perhaps we'll see a beta in the near future but the official release will take weeks or even months.

This was the response from Realme when I emailed them about software support, they didn't really elaborate on Android versions and security patches though I assume that is all included in the two years.
Hello
Greetings from realme Europe. Thank you for reaching out to us.
We would like to inform you that in general, we provide updates once every or 2 months, continue to update it for 2 years.
Warm Regards,
Team realme Europe
Thanks, I got the same email last week
Between the 2 years update and q2 android 10, I decided to move to oneplus, waiting for a mclaren...

Yes, probably a wise decision,I'm currently on the 6T and hesitant to move to Realme even with the top specs, you are safest with OnePlus in terms of reliability and support.
Thanks Manus, received my McLaren and it's indeed perfect! Last message in realme forum for now, c ya in 4 years :good::laugh:
Hi! I'm seriously considering buying a refurbished Note 9 but noticed that Android 10 would be its second OS update after just 1 year and 4 months. Samsung's update policy is 2 OS updates with at least 3 years of security updates, does this mean Note 9 won't be updated to Android 11? This would be pretty bad if true. Just looking for someone to clear this up. Thanks.

Normaly in the past for all other models, things went as you said... 2, max 3 OS updates so maybe note 9 might have Android 11.

not sure what youre talking about. the note 9 has had constant updates all year on both the U and the F versions. To double check historical updates, you can look on sammobile.com/firmwares to see the last few releases. sammobile is pretty decent about keeping historical device links active.
Here is the link to the F version and there is a selector for the different variants as well right above the download links

I mentioned OS updates a.k.a Android version updates not security updates. Note 9 launched with Android 8.1, received Android 9 last year and Android 10 this year. That's 2 version updates already which is usually Samsung's limit (3 years of security updates not not withstanding). Note 9 based on past flagships shouldn't receive Android 11.

oh, you mean the separate versions of Android. You said updates, and they are starkly different things. Also, even within the Android "version" are releases which are also "Android version updates". Not trying to split hairs, rather clarify and help avoid people answering the question you asked vs the one you meant to ask.
So, the answer to that is very unlikely. Android releases are just a hair faster than the phone hardware releases and ive never seen more than 2 years of support on any phone, much less a Samsung one. Check my sig for currently owned Samsung phones.
Well you could see the history repeating it self, in this case we have note 8 wgich didn't get android 10, so i gues this will be the same with note9 when android 11 comes.
