When I use the new Google Assistant, only the microphone appears in the center when it triggers and I select the icon on the left. However, when an app such as Android Auto is in use, the new Google Assistant also gives me options such as Google Lens, Explore, etc. when I select the same icon on the left. Is there a way to have the latter options when using the Google Assistant ALL OF THE TIME?

Click to collapse
Swipe up from the home icon to open search. Then, scroll down to select the three vertical dots (menu) at the bottom right. Then select Settings and turn Google Now on.

First off, I have searched many times and not found any info about this, here or on the google. I could not find even a closely related thread. I hope this is the correct forum to start a new thread, if not, I apologize and please point me in the right direction.
I have a Samsung Gear 2 Neo, running the bitkor_gj ported Android Wear OS for Zenwatch, as opposed to the original Tizen OS. Its awesome. This watch is paired with a Moto X Pure 2015, running on Stock / rooted 6.0, with Substratum, Viper Atmos, Gravity Box and Tasker (regular not Tasker for Wear).
Randomly, I receive a notification from Tasker, on the watch, even tho I have blocked all notifications, from tasker, in the Android Wear app and in phone>settings>sound¬ification.
Periodically(every month or so for a few days), the Gear 2 Neo shows a notification, from Tasker that has a pause button on it. If swiped to the right, it should but does not go away. If the pause button is selected, it changes to a play button and the notification can be swiped to the right and goes away. If swiped to the left, for more info, a screen with volume up & down and forward & reverse track buttons.
I do not know what this notification is supposed to be for or control or how to prevent it.

Well, because I change phones and watches around, often, I stumbled onto the cause.
I build a Tasker profile to prevent BT music auto play. If the API box is checked, under GRAB, this causes the notification to be sent to the watch. I removed the API selection and the notification stopped .
This "player" notification shows, even if the API box is not checked, under GRAB, in the profile, but API is selected in the main PREFERENCES menu.
The issue is that if API s not selected, the profile does not function 100% of the time.
How can this "player" function be stopped from showing on Android Ware device?
No matter what solutions I try with disabling battery saver, app notification priority, setting app to no power saving I cant get
apps to notify when a new message arrives, specifically Google Voice, it will not ring no matter what I do.
Also, the system seems to override the apps choice of sound and substitute the system default notification sound, is this a normal Xiaomi issue?
I use Google Voice for all texting and I cant deal with zero notifications.

Same for MIUI 9.5.2.0 Google voice does not update when not in the foreground. no notifications
Hi, I recently bought the Honor Play (model COR-L29), which is running EMUI v 9.0.0.156. Having been an iPhone user since it's first release I am struggling to adapt and find the new settings.
1) "Sensitive content" notifications: Notifications don't show any content (just "tap to open") - in settings > Notifications > Lock Screen Notifications I have "Show" selected and in the apps it is also selected. For example, in Messages > Settings > Notifications, they are allowed and "lock screen notifications" are set to "show".
2) Gmail notification numbers: My "App icon badges" are set to "unread messages", and when I have a missed call, new text message etc. a number is shown on the app icon, however with the Gmail app it does not show a number. I have had to use the built-in email app to get this feature working, and as the gmail app cannot be uninstalled I have two apps doing exactly the same function. How can I get the gmail app to show the number?
3) "Volume down" on the lock screen activates the camera. How do I turn this off? I use the SONOS app to control my speakers and lock screen volume control is enabled, but doesn't seem to work unless I wake the screen up, select the notification and then use the volume control. I'd like to be able to just use the volume control if a music app is running.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I spoke with a friend who's running a different android device and undestand it better now:
The text message content will only show if the device is unlocked (so if I raise it and it scans my face) and this is apparently default and unchangable.
I was able to disable the volume button from activating the camera, and believe it's the SONOS app that is at fault for volume control when locked, as apple music works just fine with the volume control.
Not sure about the gmail app, hopefully it's also not app-specific, so if anyone has any insights that'd be great, I'll also check google support s it's mainly just the gmail app trouble I'm having now.
Thanks
Hey there.
If you pull down the notification bar and tap on the time or the date it will open the pre-installed clock- and calendar-app respectively. (Which is quite handy for manually setting an alarm or timer.)
However, I prefer Google's clock app over the Huawei one, because I didn't find a way to just punch in timers, always have to scroll through minutes and seconds.
I tried uninstalling the Huawai clock via adb, (hoping I would be asked to assign an app) but then tapping on the time does nothing at all.
So I re-installed the Huawei clock.
I know a work-around would be to use the Google Assistant to start a timer or set an alarm, but I'm very reluctant to use it, Google should not be always listening.
So is there any way to change which app is linked to tapping on the time in the notification bar?
Thank you very much.
