Hello,
is it possible, to set network to 4G only?
Not 4G/3G/2G. Just 4G.
(I know, that on 4G can't make calls...)
I have 2 sims, and second one should be on 4G only.
Thanx
Search "Tweaker for Huawei" in Google Play Store , it gives you the 4G Only option
Yeah but it works only if rooted
you actually can set p30 pro to LTE only me already try it on my p20 pro and p30 pro and its work wonder,

My wife's Sprint branded Note 8 has a rich communications option which, according to Reddit, is the latest iteration of Enhanced Messaging found on the Note 5 and S6. However, on the unlocked Note 8 I bought myself thru Samsung direct, the stock Messaging app has absolutely no options for Enhanced Messaging or Rich Communications. I don't want to use Google Messaging because it's missing features that the stock Messaging app has, such as the live message (if that is what it's called). Is there anything I can do to have my cake and eat it too or am I going to be stuck with google mesaging?
Unlocked phones won't have specific carrier options installed. You need Sprint's CSC to get those features.

either buy a phone from Sprint, or, root your phone, and install a Sprint CSC on it

yep, you need to be rooted to mess with any system file

Need to be rooted. If not you can flash the entire Sprint firmware.

Another option to try is use Shortcut Master or the Phone INFO app & launch 467 (IMS settings) to see if you can enable those features.

You should be able to enable VoLTE & RCS (advanced messaging) through the IMS settings I talked about above but I don't think you can get WIFI calling without TMO CSC.

Interesting thanks for comfirming, for some reason I thought VoLTE & Wifi calling wouldn't work for tmobile but then again I don't have an unlocked U. But yeah you should be able to enable RCS in the IMS settings.

Okso using phone info app it says that my active csc is spr which I'm assuming is sprint... If i have that csc then I should have the rich communications option in the Samsung messaging app but I don't.
Wow! The strangest thing just happened! I was trying to launch that 467 or whatever it was and it wasn't working so I gave up. Put my phone in charge a couple hours ago and come back to some text messages. One of these messages is from 9197 and says messenger's enhanced features have been enabled. (confirmation ID: ######)
Lets hope it works now!
Edit; nope. Still no option anywhere. I even force closed messages, and rebooted the device. Upon reboot I got the same message again from 9197 with a new confirmation number. This is odd.

Yes, plus the chat messaging in the stock messages app.
ok looks like RCS is part of the advanced messaging service which I have on both my note 8.
if disabled on yours maybe you can enable it using Shortcut Master lite app from play store, there's a how 2 vid on YouTube

May I ask are you SnapDragon or Exynos?
I have enabled mine using shortcut master but I only get the Call+, I cant make the advanced messaging to work on my Exynos.
I have tried all carrier firmware too without any success.
both my notes are European exynos, one is a dual sim unbranded and the other a single sim bought through Vodafone Ireland, both unlocked models

Same here, Note8 Dual SIM on Vodafone UK. Stock BTU firmware. It would be great to have this option.
Do I need to root to use the Master life app? If Yes, it is a no go for me.
So on the other thread you said that you got the config messages from Vodafone on your Dual SIM Note8?
I get this: "It looks like you?ve swapped your SIM or updated your device. To continue using data and sending picture messages, you need to update your settings manually, as your device doesn?t support automatic settings updates. Get started at vodafone.co.uk/settingsinfo"
no worries man, I don't have the duos with me now so will double check when I get home but I'm nearly sure it is there, it's multi csc XEU
ok, on my duos I didn't have it at first but after putting my sim card into it and going through pretty much everything ims related using Shortcut Master lite pressing launch where allowed and enabling things and also a few restarts, I was eventually prompted to enter a phone number on restart to avail of RCS and it is now showing under message settings, if possible on my duos it should be possible on yours

also, root NOT needed for Shortcut Master lite

Finally I found a working decision (with VoWiFi icon, successful calls in airplane mode etc.).
I'm with latest Global MIUI 10.4.1.0 Pie, without root.
All steps are very simple and the responsibility is all yours.
P.s. I cannot post external links, according to forum rules. You can find the tutorial in 4pda forum (Запускаем VoWiFi на Глобальной бете с Андроид 9) under MI 6 part but it works for the last Global Stable for MIX 2 too.
Simple guide (or what I did):
1. Install "Power Shortcuts"
from Play Store (may be some other similar program will also work, I don't now)
2. In "Activity" tab push the gray arrow and find "Modem Config"
3. After find it push the green arrow to create a shortcut
4. In the newly created shortcut "Modem Config" scroll down to Netherla and choose/tap it
That's all I did and now I have fully worked VoWiFi
P.s. Ofcourse you must have this service activated on your subscribtion plan.

I tried this with my MIX 2 and didn't work.
What I think is when you enabling the mobile radio via the toggle actually your call is going via GSM/UMTS/VoLTE (whatever you are using) but not WiFi. The mobile radio is switched on but without indication in the notification bar.
If you do all these things to make WiFi call it means that your operator doesn't support Xiaomi devices offcially for VoWiFi. So may be you have to activate WiFi call service via customer service (or other way). Do you have active WiFi call service under your subscription? If yes, may be you can check with your carrier whether particular call is WiFi call or VoLTE call. If the answer is No, this call is not WiFi call.
As I know when you make a WiFi call the whole communication goes through WiFI directly to the carrier's IMS and you don't need to turn on the mobile radio.
I'm curious if you can try to make a call in place where you have only WiFi coverage but not GSM/UMTS/VoLTE one.
If you succeed then I'm wrong.

I agree, but for activation VoWiFI in One plus you have to make some settings in the chip using some Qualcom software and activate different profile.
Still I'm curious did you manage to test your way for activation of WiFi calling in MI Mix 2 on a place without 2G/3G/4G coverage but with available WiFi network?
I hope I'm wrong and you are right but...

I've been talking to other X2 Pro owners in the T-Mobile (USA) forums about these two features. Nobody has had success in getting them to work. Someone felt it was due to a lack of Band 66. I've had other phones utilize VoLTE and WiFi calling on the T-Mobile network that didn't have Band 66. Someone else proposed utilizing QPST to change the internal profiles in order to get activated. Anyone have experience with QPST that could provide some insight? Thank you in advance.
I tried but was unable to change or add maybe i wasn't on right port connection idk. I was able to move around some bands with "Hidden settings" Android app which requires no root access. When i upgrading x2pro to android 10 the app showed alot more band options but i lose ability to make calls although i have full signal. I would post screenshots of app showing bands but I'm unable to upload.
