After the November security update is anyone else not receiving notifications while your phone is connected via USB to Android Auto?
I have completely unrooted and locked my phone, and tried a couple resets. The notifications show up after disconnecting the phone.
Anybody else experiencing this or have a solution?

Check your Do Not Disturb settings. I think by default it turns on notification with Android Auto.

I just disabled any Behavior under Car settings in the Android Auto app, next time I'm in the car I will have to see if that did anything.
But I don't have any schedules or anything set to turn on DND automatically.

Check when you are connected to the vehicle in your do not disturb settings, it wont show there until you are connected.
When connected, swipe down for the quick settings shade, your DND should be active, long press it to go to its settings and then disable it.

I recently picked up a Droid turbo and a gwatch. Works great as long as the phone screen is on but when the screen goes off the watch disconnects. It's all stock and I synced using android wear app. Anyone got any ideas why it keeps disconnecting?

I have not had any issues with this. I do not have a wear device but I use bluetooth when in my car for music and calls and I have never had any disconnection issues.
I checked the bluetooth settings on my phone and I am not seeing any settings that would cause it to disconnect when the phone is asleep. Sorry I couldn't be more help
Don't know what the difference is but I reset the watch and repaired. Doesn't seem to be a problem anymore
Settings >> Bluetooth >> "Three dots in lower right corner" >> Visibility Timeout >> SELECT: "Never Time Out"

You only need visibility when you want to connect to a Bluetooth device for the first time. After the device is paired, visibility is not necessary. Turning this on to "Never Time Out" means that all Bluetooth devices within range of your phone can see it. I keep this setting on 2 Minutes.
Hey guys. Loving my note 8. I do have an issue. When watching videos, I lose sound. I discovered that the do not disturb button is enabled. I disable it and hours later it activates itself, without any input. If anyone has had the same issue, let's talk.

You don't by chance have the Do not disturb option "Turn on as scheduled" activated in your settings do you?
This is happening to me as well, in the afternoons the 'DO NOT DISTURB' 'Enable now' setting is automatically turned on
My 'Enable as schedule' setting is turned off.
I have also noticed my DND randomly turns on, and then it takes me several times of attempting to turn it off before it will finally stay off. This sometimes happens several times a day. I do have a schedule in place, but my settings within that also fall out - such as allowing alarms or my favorites. The alarm option will stay stuck in the off position until I end up having to restart the phone. Once the phone restarts then I can make the changes I want, but not sure why I have to keep doing this. My fear is that this setting will switch while I'm sleeping causing an alarm to not go off or I'll miss an emergency call. I could just not use this feature, but I really like it and wish it would work correctly. I never had this issue on my S7
I am having the same problem after the most recent update. DND turns on all by itself every afternoon.
I tried using the schedule figuring it might force it to do what I WANT it to do, to no avail. It still automatically turns on every afternoon?
This issue even happens in Safe Mode
I have been searching looking for way to make this work with no solution.
I have disabled AOD since it is consuming battery heavily and wanted notifications to behave as on stock android where they turn screen on. My note 8 is receiving notifications and LED turns on, but screen doesn't. I have to manually turn it on to be able to see the lockscreen notification.
Is there any way to make this work?
+1
Facing same issue.
Having the same problem. Aod does not work anymore.

I use "Dynamic Notifications". It lights up notifications when screen is locked. There's a certain amount of customisation, including screen on time. Used it on many of my phones including Note 8.
Wait.. You want the screen to turn on for every notification?
I hate that... Some apps even ignore the settings either way.

Same here, that would drive me nuts if the screen turned on for every notification. It's bad enough the screen turns on everytime the phone is plugged in/unplugged from USB or from a wireless charger.
Shouren, you can try snoozy charger app to manage the plug/unplug screen on issue

Thanks. The rom I'm using is actually supposed to have that disabled but I don't think it works for wireless charging, only cable. I never never charge with the cable anymore. But whatever, I prefer not to install apps just to disable one minor thing.
I understand you, I also prefer wireless, but, it works with wireless too
There must be a build prop tweak or something but I can't seem to find one right now.
Maybe a PM to a nice dev and they could tell you where to look. Report for community if you figure it out
Just got the TMobile April security update. I have my AOD set to tap to show, but it is not working anymore on any sort of reliable basis. In fact, even with it set to be always on, it doesn't always show up when I pick up the phone. Any ideas? I've tried resetting the app and reassigning the settings but it's not working.

Are you using power saving mode? If so have you unchecked the Option to disable AOD.
Nope. No power saving here.
Hi All, wondering if anyone else is experiencing this on a Pixel 4 or 4XL? I have a Verizon 4XL and my notifications keep going silent and will only vibrate. I have to reboot the phone or adjust the ring volume for it to come back and it's still only temporary. I do not have any DND settings set for certain times or locations either. I started noticing it right before I did the latest November security updates.
Any idea? I do not really want to factory reset it.
My Pixel 4XL seems to be doing the same thing. Mine is unlocked from Google on Sprint. Same as you a reboot fixes it for a while.
Anyone else?
re choose sound in notification settings, and I guess u must have a clean tools in use often.
Mine is doing the same thing. About to contact support. It will work for a while then go silent. I do not have any do not disturb mode enabled. I reboot and it starts working again. That is the only thing that fixes it. I do not have to change a setting, just reboot and all notification sounds are back. Otherwise it just vibrates, even phone ring.
