Any ideas? Or let me put it this way. Does anyone of you has a Moto G6 with a working GPS? Did it work straight away or did it needed special attention? Does Moto G6 need a gps.conf file? If so could you share the gps.conf with me? In general: can you shine a light (not literally)?
Kind regards, Robert

Hi !
Since 5.1 update, I noticed that I regularly have some lock lost with the Gps. As I use the Moto X to contribute to OpenStreetMap, I record gpx trace and use them to geolocalize pictures, and I see some "hole" in the record.
And I see some lockup when I use OsmAnd for car routing.
I never encounter this before the Lolippop update.
Anyone see this bug too ?
yes i have same issue , this only on lollipop.
Android 5.1 Lollipop
on Garmin StreetPilot it can't locate position.
In a way, I'm happy to see that I'm not alone.
Time to put some pressure on https://forums.motorola.com/hives/a440c30711/summary ?
I've started a thread :

Try these two commands and see if it help:
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
Thanks eksasol, i will try.
But I think the answer is here, it's a global problem on Lollipop.
On my Moto X, airplane mode seems to reduce the problem but i need more tests.
Hello!
I have a Moto X on AICP 11, the latest nightly, and tried to find a way to make my GPS work better, it is really bad on AICP. I've changed my gps.conf file to what I found to be the best for my country (Brazil) and it just made the gps stop working completely. It won't even find satellites. I tried to change gps.conf back to AICP's original file and it didn't solve the problem. I really don't want to go back to stock. Any ideas?

Update: Erased modemst1 and modemst2, placed a stock Moto X 2014's gps.conf on system-> etc, GPS is working well now.
I'll update stock gps.conf if anyone wants it.
Can I? Has anyone tried it?
After my experience with the Moto G5 Plus yes but there could be problems with the modem. Because you can install all moto x4 roms on every moto x4. In addition, it may be that the boot loader must be unlocked but can then be closed again, but it will then appear a message at startup otherwise there are no differences to a normal Android One device. But I do not have much experience with the Moto x4 yet. My experience is almost completely due to my Moto G5 Plus. But I also have the Android One firmware on a free German device on it and that works very well.
The biggest challenge will be cracking the Bootloader. Motorola / Amazon will NOT give out the decryption key.
Okay, I tried, and first, it didn't work. Second, I broke my fingerprint reader and I noticed that system stability was down a bit--the system was hanging a bit more than before.
I flashed Android One rom on a Retail Moto X4 (XT1900-6), worked better than stock, only problem was with Voice Match, when it's activated, the system doesn't recognize the hotword.
Good evening everyone! I have a G5S Plus Xt 1802 Conrado recently. I was on the PIXEL ROM. And I decided to install Nougat using the following tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...t1802-return-stock-firmware-moto-g5s-t3747342 using the automatic block.bat.
But to find myself in, I find myself with a sad surprise. I was left without my IMEI and without the call sensor, and a screen cycle. And the bike screen. And for what is a strange sensor sensor works the same as call.
I've already used modemst1 erase and erase modemst2 I've already installed all the custom ROMs available for the handset but nothing worked. I've done everything. Please help me help me I am very grateful .

hi guys, i have screwed up my moto g5s plus while installing custom rom, before installing I tool backup using twrp but it was incomplete as it did not backup my persist, so after installing custom rom I did not get volte, feeling desperate I flashed persist of another moto g5s plus and my baseband was changed to A instead of R . Now I don't have any network. is there any way to fix it anyhow, or can i send it to service center for fix?
