hi, i have mi 5 3/64gb ( i didnt know it's prime or standard, i guess it's 5 prime ), currently using miui 8 global 8.2 stable 8.2.2.0(NAAMIEB). It's the stock rom from i bought the phone. If i want to upgrade it to official miui 9 http://en.miui.com/download-299.html, what should i do first ? do i request unlock bootloader first from mi official and then update it or just update to the latest rom ? because from where i read miui 8 is Marshmallow and 9 is nougat on mi 5
and one more thing, mi 5/prime is the same official rom right ? cz there is nowhere on the list of mi 5 prime/pro
thank you
Hello,
do you know any way to install miui 10 beta on MI 8?
I have seen that it can be installed in MI MIX 2/2S , and I find it strange that you can not install in MI 8.

It's the same on any xiaomi device if you can find the rom.
It isnt available for Xiaomi Mi8. There is a MIUI 10 China Developer Rom Closed Alpha Testing. End of this month a open beta should start. (https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/applicable-devices-eligible-for-miui-10.44392/)
I'm currently waiting for my Mi 11 to arrive, and I was wondering if there are any GSIs that run well on the Mi 11 since there aren't any AOSP custom roms out at the moment.

Hello friends,
I recently downloaded Android 8.1 based MIUI 10, I m confused whether can I install it on my Le X526 or not? If so, how do i do it, and any reviews of the above ROM, if u installed the particular ROM above. A similar forum only had android 6.0.1 based MIUI 10.
There is no MIUI based on Android 8.1 you have a wrong file
And you are in wrong thread this should be on "Questions and Answers" not in "ROMs and Development"
What the hell? idk whether its 8.1 or not but i know its oreo

Hi there. I have been researching and in china the mi 11 pro and mi 11 ultra share the same ROM. Even on xiaomi.eu they share ROMs. Are any of you a user of the mi 11 pro and have you installed the global rom of the mi 11 ultra?
The roms are interchangeable , someone did it last week but you will have to search for the thread
Yep. I've been using Mi 11 Ultra Global Rom for my Mi 11 pro. Cheers!

Thank you. And according to your personal experience these custom ROMs are only better than the global one on the subject of updates? Do you really notice in a phone of these characteristics any change in fluidity and, above all, autonomy? Or it all comes down to receiving more updates, because really updates for me would not be the main thing as long as the equipment works perfectly for me
If you want global and stable...xiaomi.eu also have stable builds .. based on china stable but without china sizzle... But I use weekly because it looks like weekly is even more stable as stable ? How crazy it sounds

what throws me back is that to update xiaomi.eu I must download the complete package (about 4 gb). And it will seem ridiculous to you, but download 4 GB in my country (Cuba) is something expensive.
