K20 pro system destroyed error - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Questions & Answe

While I was using my k20 pro which runs on the latest miui11 update it suddenly restarted and got into a bootloop. Note that I have a locked bootloader and have not flashed any roms. Since I had no experience in the matter i tried to reboot it by pressing volume down and power buttons. I was not used to fastboot mode hence I tried to restart it with the power button and ended up with "this system has been destroyed" screen, which told to press power button to shutdown, which I did. Now the phone is not responding to anything. What to do? Is it possible to fix it without loss of data?
Please help.

Good luck!

Service centre
Since the phone still is under warranty period I assumed it best to give it to an authorized service centre. They checked it and said there is some issue with the board and will have to change it. They tried removing the backside and using "edl", but to no avail. I'm told to wait 8 days until I get it back fixed.
I'll lose all my data though?.
Anyway to recover all the data once the board is changed?

Unlikely. The storage chip should be on the board too so you should be getting a blank chip.

Am I not sure if I should believe this or not. Sorry
take it to the service center as others have recommended since your phone is still under warranty.

[Q] Can't Boot - continuous crash on boot

Hi
Got an HTC for my son 2 weeks back. He used it for a day, but then got an update. After downloading the update, I restarted at the prompt and got a message that the download was corrupted. Switched off the phone and after sometime, restarted, but without the update. I then downloaded it again and got it running for him.
A week later and the phone just crashed and switched off! Charged it and switched it on, but it just crashes and boot loops. Since my son is now not with me, I instructed him to do a reset using hardware buttons (since it does not boot and thereby allow him to do a factory reset from within the phone. I told him to:
Turn off your phone.
With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
Press VOLUME DOWN to select CLEAR STORAGE, and then press POWER.
Press VOLUME UP to start the factory reset.
Click to collapse
According to him, this too does not seem to help and it is still crashing (boot loops).
Can someone please suggest something. Problem is that to claim warranty I need him to bring the phone back (as it is a regional warranty) and the earliest he can get it to me is in about 3 months!
Thanks for any help/ suggestions
Does the phone have an unlocked bootloader and custom ROM?
If so then he needs to re flash the rom using Mike's thread:

Can you please let me know how to check if the bootloader is locked?
It's brand new ... not rooted, nothing .... clean phone 2 weeks of which 1 week has not been used as it was not booting.

If it's new and clean, then the bootloader will be locked. You have to manually unlock it.
Try going to fastboot and then running "fastboot erase cache".
Though most likely, you may have to take it to a repair center for them to bring it back to stock, without you having to go through the hassle; Especially since it's only 2 weeks old.

One plus 3t bricked a few days after after last update, tried unbrick method

I have the one plus 3t have had no issues at all love the phone.
I updated the phone a few nights ago and last night it started acting weird rebooted and then got stuck on the One plus boot screen.
I tried going into fast boot and recovery and doing a factory reset and nothing happen but now the phone will not turn on at all.
I have been searching the internet for how to unbrick my phone. Ran across a method using the unbrick tool. I was able to get it started but with the tool, I get Firehose GetUsfInfo Failed and it stops.
Does anyone have ideas on how to get past this or how to un brick the phone?
I'm using WIndows 10 Pro in Test Mode

Everything was stock. No root or unlocked to my knowledge.
You said the phone started behaving weirdly after update. What was the exact issue at that time?

I went to click on a weather widget and it froze. It then rebooted and went right into a menu at the time that you normally have to push power and Volume up to get to. If I did nothing for 5 seconds it would go past it and get stuck on the one plus logo as it tried to boot.

I think the current issue is caused due to the unbrick method used. Your phone was never bricked it seems. What were the steps you followed?

After it got stuck on the on the one plus logo screen I did the following.
1. Loaded into Recovery wiped the cache.
That didn't do anything
2. Wiped everything
That did nothing
3. Reset all system settings
That did nothing and then it would not boot at all.
IF I would have known better I am betting I could have just flashed the default rom at this stage in the game before doing any wiping of any kind..
From there I went on to the unbricking method
1. Got the Qualcomm driver installed and made sure Windows 7 was in test mode
2. Made sure I could see the phone in device manager after I held power button for 60 seconds and then the volume button for 10 seconds
3. Ran the unbricking software msm 3.0 in administrative mode.
I also made sure windows defender was not running, any firewalls were off and no Anti Virus at the time
It would start trying to run and then would end up with where I am now.
I have tried Multiple usb ports and multiple cables at this point.
Right now the phone will not boot but I can tell the computer can see it however the msm 3.0 will not download anything it gets stuck every time.
I do have an appointment with tech support tomorrow with One Plus so that is nice
Hope it is in warranty period. When you connect phone to computer, can you see the storage?

I tried that and even had One Plus help me with their tech support and nothing works. They think the motherboard might have an issue and is asking for $190 more since I am not the original owner. Kind of crazy if you ask me.
Not sure there are any other options I always get stuck at Firehose GetUsfInfo Failed. I have tried 2 computers now and 4 different cables.
Kinda at a loss of words. Unless something crazy happens I will have to sell my phone at a loss and will have to go back to an older phone most likely.

Phone do not boot after Oreo update

As i installed update and clicked reboot to apply it, now my system do not boot. Phone always stuck on white NOKIA logo boot screen forever. I tried few times to restart it via VOL-UP + POWER, but it always have same result - never boots. Please give me advice how to deal with it
It happened to me too, in December already. Mobile is in service now.
They flashed original fw, tested and returned it with results no fault. Right after switch on and new Oreo update it starts to freeze and produce various mistakes again, so I have returned phone to service. Will complain with seller about exchange.

That really sucks. But what do you mean by various mistakes? Like your system boots, but some functionality is not working? As i said in my case it totally cannot boot and recovery mode i can't enter factory recovery mode by VOLUME UP + POWER on start.

Ach yes, sorry. First it stucked in logo Nokia and rebooting again... VolumeUp+Power does not work normally on Nokia.
It helped procedure found here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74406267&postcount=34
Then I was able to make factory reset and mobile booted, but worked with various faults.
Did you unlock your bootloader , flashed TWRP and then changed the slot? Slot A to B or vice versa?
If so, then the solution is
How to solve!
I simply waited until the battery ran out
When battery was completely dead and no Nokia-logo appear any more >>
Then I charged the battery 3% juice without booting
and from there I entered recovery-mode with the help of a USB cable.
Holding the volume+ button while connecting the USB-cable
From TWRP-recovery I changed to the other inactive slot
and whooala, that's it!
Edit: I sucked the juice (mAh electric-capasity) out of the battery quicker with help of OTG-cable and an external USB-powerd fan.
Use almost any external max 5volt USB-powered devices available at home, even charging another phone unless the second phone doesn't reverse-charge, this Nokia can be used as a power-bank.

P30 Pro suddenly turned off now in boot loop??

Anyone experienced this?
My phone suddenly turned off and now its in boot loop (Huawei Logo). I tried the volume up plus power button nothing happens.
sometimes it goes to recovery mode then showed the option to reinstall the software via wifi, format or reboot. So I tried every option which failed before I tried reinstalling the software via wifi, now its always stuck in bootloop.
I didnt install any custom roms or anything on my phone.

Hi, I'm having the exact same issue. I don't know if it was because of an update or what. The phone is stuck in boot loop now.
I tried all the options by pressing VolUp+Power buttons. Wipe Cache/Factory Reset/Safe Mode. Nothing works. The phone is still stuck in boot loop.
Also tried VolDown+Power.
Any suggestions? Do any others have this issue?
Boot loop
Same here, out of nowhere, my phone shutdown and goes into bootloop. On my way to send this phone to service centre. Piece of crap, 3month +2 weeks?

In mi case, was an OTA.
Update 9.1.0.185 (C431E4R2P2) is causing the bootloop.
I had to install manually an older version and it boots.
Complete garbage from Huawei...
Well that's scary! Installing OTA update causing bootloop!?
I haven't received it yet, should I wait/skip?
Same here. After updating to 9.1.0.185 (C432E4R2P2) my phone hangs in a bootloop.
What I have tried that did not help:
- wipe the caching partition via boot menu (volume up + power button)
- force re-install via boot menu (volume up + power button)
According to phone support at Huawei, they are working on 9.1.0.300 at the moment but the guy on the phone could not tell whether there is a fix for bootloop included and also did not share any release date.
Can anyone give guidance on how to downgrade *without* erasing all data? Unfortunately, I don't have a recent backup (yes shame on me; with my old phone I had setup automated backup but I haven't with this one yet.)

Huawei P30 Pro suddenly updated automatically. No button to cancel or whatever.
It's now working. No bootloop with version 9.1.0.185 (C432E4R2P2).
I don't know what is happening...
I'm in Brazil, I have a P30 Pro and the same thing is happening, after the OTA update the device is restarting forever ... There is no authorized service for imported devices here. I do not know what else to do
Having the same issue, P30 - it must have tried to update to 9.10.193 lastnight. it now forces into Erecovery - makes me "download latest version and recovery" which just fails over and over again. cleared cache, tried factory reset - tried everything possible and it just loops downloading the garbage software and then "verifying package failed" and starts again.
3rd update in 4 months thats broken my p30 - do they even bother testing any of the crap they forcefully roll out on people?
alguma solução para esse problema?? ou é hardbrick??? aconteceu o mesmo comigo no brasil.

Just a thought, I can boot in fastboot mode. Will I be able to flash a stock firmware to revive the phone?
I had the exact same problem. Phone was working perfectly fine in the morning. I then put my phone in my pocket to go to work and when I arrived it was stuck in the infinite bootloop. I couldn't turn it off and it would constantly boot to the Huawei logo on its own.
After many hours of trying I managed to get into recovery mode once. The options for Factory Reset and Deleting cache were greyed out. So i tried to update the software via wifi. When I tried to connect to my wifi it asked for the wifi password but my keyboard was unresponsive so I couldn't enter it. However, the backspace/delete key was working fine. I grabbed my other phone to turn off the wifi password and in that short time, the phone rebooted into the Huawei logo on its own and I couldn't access recovery mode again after 3 hours of trying.
Today I went to the Huawei service center and the technician told me that the problem was a faulty motherboard. So now I need to wait 1-2 weeks for them to replace the motherboard. The repair will be free of cost as my device is still under warranty. The technician told me the 2 main reasons the bootloop issue happens is because of a faulty motherboard or a software glitch. Unfortunately mine was a faulty motherboard

Oh no, I wasn't expecting this from a such a huge company. And as far as I know, Huawei doesn't have any international service warranty and It sucks because I have to be back in Indonesia to get it serviced. Thankfully bought mine April this year. I guess I have to change brand again.
Same problem and no solutions.
I bought mine in Malaysia and now on business travel to China. Works fine for the first 4, 5 months. Perfectly. Unfortunately, I went to South Korea last 2 weeks and my P30 Pro went into boot loop. No chance to start the phone. Contacted Huawei chat service, after troubleshooting they advised to send to customer service center. Suspected motherboard issue and will bring to service centre once I'm back to Malaysia. I didn't expect that P30 Pro could have this problem as my Mate 9 works fine for more than 2 years and still working. I didn't bring my Mate 9 while travel this time and ended up buying a new phone. Total waste of money.
Notes:
~tried soft reset and failed
~tried factory reset and failed

Exactly same issue here 2 weeks ago. Went for a walk on Sunday evening with my phone in my pocket and when I arrived back home my P30 (3-4 months old) was stuck in an infinite reboot loop (Android start screen appears every 5 seconds). Tried to shut down / restart with volume up / down options, but nothing seems to work. I will bring the phone back to the place I bought it and hopefully it will be replaced under warranty, but this really is a nuisance!
Cheers,
teq
BTW: No recent OTA that I can recall preceded this issue.

Bootloop

I just wanna ask after the oct update i got bootloop now when i try to go to service center they told me that the problem is the motherboard. When i explain to them the reason i just update it then bootloop they always tell me the problem is motherboard. And i need to fix it and the cost is half the price of the phone. Now i need some help. When i try to turn on its stuck to androide one then off whne i try to go to fastboot its okay. When i charge it it turns on and off. I jus need some help.

is your bootloader unlocked?
If so, have you tried booting latest twrp image from fastboot?
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
Sounds like you may at least have to try to wipe and format your phone at the cost of all data.
But then you could use the situation to install a good custom ROM..
If you were doing a normal update, your phone should revert to the previous slot after a few attempted reboots.
Keep trying to reboot.
If nothing else works, try flashing september version from EDL (search it on the forums).
I flashed and still couldn't boot at first. I tried restarting a lot of times, until it got on the "Retry" or "Power off" option. I let the phone sit on this screen until it shut itself off. After tried booting up a few more times until it finally did.
I was not plugged in during this.
I'm not going near that october patch ever again.
Hello everyone,
I'm using mi A2 (64gb). It is rooted and was running on Resurrection Remix 8.6.2. Somedays earlier, I let my phone idle, suddenly it starts rebooting, just like bootlooping. After seeing that I booted in recovery and wiped dalvik and cache then rebooted and the phone rebooted in system successfully. But then I noticed the power menu appearing continuously on the home screen, I tried to dismiss it but it rebooted again and so on. From then, only the splash screen appeared for 8 seconds and it reboots again. I can boot into recovery or fastboot but only for 2-3 seconds then it reboots.
I've searched on the internet and was flashing firmware manually from fastboot but accidentally, I flashed an image file in a wrong location and the phone screen turned off and nothing appeared. Then I found that it had entered in EDL mode. but still it is rebooting and I can't flash firmware from mi flashing tool as fastboot wasn't working.
This is the problem of my phone. A help would be amazing! Thank you!
Ps. I'm new here and it is my first post so if anything is wrong. I beg your pardon and sorry for my bad English.
