Welcome to my McLaren boot animation thread for the Oneplus 7 & 7 pro!

Must have Magisk Installed
Installation:
Flash .zip via Magisk v17.0+ (Open Magisk>Select Modules from the Side Panel> Press the + button>choose the zip that you downloaded)
If you want to return to stock boot animation, disable/ remove module via magisk and reboot:good:
There is an issue with installation on magisk 20.2, will be releasing an update soon to fix that..

Troubleshoot:
- If you do not see the bootanimation or you see the stock boot animation, check if you have any other magisk bootanimations actiavated?
If you do, disable them all, reboot, and reflash.
- If that does not work work: Last resort, you can move the bootanimation.zip (located in the magisk module zip: system/media folder) manually to /system/media on your phone and set permissions to rw-r-r
If you end up using this method, remember to back up stock bootanimation by adding a .bak at the end of the file name.

Should work unless the ROM forces its own bootanimation on boot... Which should not be the case... Try it?

Only stables are supported, 8.1 is for stable 10.0.2

great work! now i can pretend i have a Mclaren edition 7 pro
The magisk flash didn't work so I had to manually replace it. Works great!
Unfortunately neither method worked for me.
Not Working
Tried on Magisk 20.3 running OP7_02_BETA_10
long delay then normal One+ boot animation.
Maybe get fixed later
Tried flashing using Magisk 20.4 and it didn't work. Any fix?

just put it back the default/original with root explorer and set permission 0644, then reboot..

That is ios 6+7 animation, because ios 7, when you open app, the animation come from app you open, hope you make alt for miui 7.2 for using stock open app animation, because it marshmallow animation

just replace framework-res.apk from your default rom, or extract from zip file, push it and set permission 0644. then reboot.

Once you migrate to the Beta path, you will continue to receive Open Beta OTAs. You will NO LONGER receive the regular Official Stable OTAs.
Moving back to the Official OTA path from the Beta path will require a full install and clean flash (FULL WIPE of all data and cache)
Edit: OTA mostly will not install. You have to install the full ROM of 1.5gb which works fine with most of the beta users.

We also have boot sound now, but I don't know where to extract it from...

It's needed to be resized. Current boot animation will work in it but it will look big.
Pixel 2 dark/black bootanimation mod magisk module has been added..

Hey! So I wasn't able to get this to change my boot animation. I know I have everything else setup right because other Magisk modules work, but when I reboot my phone with this installed the default boot animations plays. Any ideas?

Hey,
I just tried the Pixel 2 white on my Nexus 5X with Android 8.1 and I still see the stock animation. In /system/media/ also in /matisk/MODULENAME/ I see the Pixel bootanimation with right permissions. When I uninstall module and copy that bootanimation.zip to /system/media/ it works fine.

Stock Samsung uses .qms file as bootanimation, it won't support .zip bootanimation
You need to use custom ROM.

Idk what bootanimation format has been used in miui. May be bootanimation.zip not supported to miui.

Doesn't work.
Probably because Magisk isn't running before the boot animation, since Android isn't running yet for Magisk to do it's work.

Unzip & find out bootanimation.zip then unzip it too.. there will be all images. Also for correct resolution of your phone's splash just open file in quick pic & take ss for black bootanimation. For white, you need to put it on white background manually.

- How to add it:
1. Open themes store
2. Goto My Account> Theme> Import> Select downloaded theme
3. Again go My Account> Customize Theme> Status Bar
4. Select any SM theme
- To change fingerprint animation goto
Settings> Password & Security> Fingerprint Unlock> Fingerprint Animations

yes it change animation.. but if you don't like new animation.. just remove module from magisk you will back to stock

It doesn't work, tried both the files and doesn't work at all. The "Thunder" one just changes the fingerprint icon but not the animation.
Did you understand that I'm using stock Android 10 ROM and not MIUI?

For so long everyone is looking for Disable Flag Secure Magisk Module. But can't find it anywhere. Earlier Xposed Module was released. This is the first time I brought the Disable Flag Secure Magisk Module. By flashing it you can take screenshot from locked profile of Facebook. You can also take screenshots from apps/pages where taking screenshots is prohibited. No LsPosed/Xposed required for this. So flash and enjoy.

It has been removed. Because it doesn't need.
I am using temproot on my XZ3. Will this magisk module work on it or not?
Phone goes into bootloop and have to clear cache on every boot to get in.. . same issue when using current smali patcher fyi.
