Hi all,
Could you confirm me that this phone has the possibility to install 2 sim and a sd card at the same time. Or as usual you have to sacrify the sim slot for the sd card?
Tnx

Like he said.
The X2 non-pro though does have the 2 NanoSim plus additionally an SD-Slot.

Hello
Just wondering as it says Expansion Slot: Not in use on the About screen of my XDA Diamond, so does this mean inside somewhere there is an expansion slot and if so why can't it be accessed?
Thanks

Are you sure that your card is not a sdhc card? The card will never work. But if it is a normal sd card you should try to format with fat 16.
I believe all 4gb micro cards are sdhc cards.

Hi gtrix,
try to use "SDFormatter 2.0.0.3" for your sd card.

Try to use the microSD-adapter of the 2GB card, which worked in that combination, together with the 4GB card.
Don't know, might work, if there is a prob with the adapter.
hey all u guys i wanna clear u that fat(fat16) can address only upto 2 gb so none of ur 4 gb card get formatted as fat16. u need to faormat it using fat32. And himalya's hardware does not support fat32 addressing.
Few months back i hv also purchased a 4gb non sdhc card and a 8gb non sdhc card but none of them work on hima. by diffrent formatting method i hv managed to get 4gb on hima but I was not able to access any file which i hv putted after 2gb of memory so rest 2gb are useless.
and My prophet g4 can access both the cards but most of time i hv to face a lot of card errors and need format the card to avoid them.
Final result
DONT BUY LARGE CAPACITY CARDS UNTIL THEY R SDHC CAUSE FAT16 CANT ADDRESS THEM.
Oops!
Bought a FORMEL1 Secure Digital Professional 4GB about 2h ago;
took it right out of the box without any formatting;
put the navigation software, some pictures, mp3s and videos on it
and thats the way my memory looks like now.
And- by the way - it seems I am able to access all the files!

Sorry for this but i m pretty sure that u will report the bugs soon. CAUSE
no body here think that y all memory master company like Sandisk, kingston, transcend etc. do not manufacture the 4gb sd card instead of 4gb sdhc.
AND if someone found any non sdhc card above 2gb from these companies plz ask the retailer for WARRANTY as 3 or 5 years and try to register the card on site. u will know the fact.
Hello has anyone here tested if the Xperia Z supports the new 128gb SDXC-Cards?
I know that officially the Xperia-Z just works with cards up to 32gb but have also already read about 64gb Cards being used without any problem.
And if it should work with 128gb cards, then i rather buy the 128 instead of the 64gb SDXC as those should be future-proof.

It'd be great if it did. I know it works with 64GB cards as I've got one in mine at the moment. Sadly I can't afford to splash out on a 128GB card yet so I can't test.
Anybody else know?
Yea they are still kinda pricey, i guess it would still be more affordable to buy 2x64gb SDXC rather than one 128gb, but if you have a quite large music-collection there is no real alternative.
I was used to about 128gb (total capacity) on my old SGS3 before, and it was really convenient to have the music-library just a swipe away
Therefore iam looking for the same on the XperiaZ.
Lets see if someone here has the spare-parts to test
I too would like some feedback on this if possible, I am looking at buying a Xperia Z to go with my 128 GB MicroSD card I just bought, the ONLY use for this device will be as a media player, so don't want to get it for that intended use and it not do what I want.
I know this thread is almost a year old but I thought it's worth adding a new post to it.
I've just taken delivery of a 128GB SDXC card. It was on sale and I figured I'd risk it.
And it works! I slotted it into my XZ and suddenly I had huge amounts of storage space!
So yes, it works. Go get one now!!

Where did you get one of those from? I could do with a bigger card, mine is getting very full already..
It should work, in theory. Technically, if a phone can use a Micro SD card, it can use any capacity of Micro SD card.

No it depends on cpu and phone's ram. there could be unsupported sd card massage or some lag issues. even 1tb card is now available. I'm using a 64gb with no problem, but it's never enough for hd recording.
If you'd like to know the app for cvr try Recam.apk I don't know any better app, sth more complete eg for auto replacing old files and more quality options...
Does it has hybrid slot or dedicated slot for mem.
Card?
Hybrid. With 64gb internal mem, you'd hardly need an external source.

Has anyone used a Hybrid SIM slot - memory card adapter? Are they practical? Any disadvantages or reliability issues?

Sorry, haven't used these before. Wouldn't these hang out and wouldn't you have to very careful with these? Also, you wouldn't be able to use a case, if this somehow is compatible with the phone. What with the no gap and metal unibody and all.
The launch of Mate 20 has lead me thinking. If they are rolling out memory card of a nano sim size, will it be compatible for us?
Do you have a dedicated, just launched, brand new, nano SD card slot (HARDWARE) on your P20 Pro ?
If you do, you should go and buy a new card.
If the P20 pro doesnt have a memory card slot, how does one use one?

Seems some members have forgotten how to communicate - so let me try.
OP: Unfortunately, whilst the form factor of the new cards is the same as the nano sims, the underlying hardware that allows new memory card type to work is not present in any existing models. A crude analogy is to consider a DVD disk and a blu-ray disk. They may share physical characteristics, but an older DVD player will not read a blu-ray disk, even though it physically fits, because it lacks the necessary hardware.
