[HELP] My Rog phone 2 can't charge past 70% - ASUS ROG Phone II Questions & Answers

Sorry for my bad English.
It looks like my Phone recognizes my battery capacity wrong It's should be 6000mah instead of 4000mah.
***Edit I download Kernel adiutor and check battery info. My battery capa still 6,000 mah
I don't know what causes a problem but It's not come out of the box (I can charge to 100% before I messed with my phone)
1. I unlocked my phone via EDL by using johny guide
https://forum.xda-developers.com/rog-phone-2/how-to/how-to-unlock-rog2-phone-via-edl-mode-t4008267
2.I flashed boot image from reg66 guide to gain root access
https://forum.xda-developers.com/rog-phone-2/how-to/guide-to-check-change-fingerprint-cn-to-t4002279
then I realize I can't charge my battery past 70%
As you see in pic CPU ID and Accubatery show my battery capacity at 4000 Mhz (Also in fastboot mode as well)
What I tried before
Drain out the battery and try to full charge *** no luck
Factory reset *** no luck

I'm not sure what is causing this issue but the 4000 you are seeing is the battery voltage, not capacity. The Battery Care feature will limit the charge to 80%, do you have that turned on?

You better luck your bootloader and file a replacement maybe.

updated: today I flashed to 1910.44 and It fixes the problem.
IMO: the problem comes from moded bootloader

Nope, I just keep it unlocked cause I need root access.
After flashed to latest Rom my bootloader return to a default one (no fastboot status, device info, etc on bootloader) but the device remain unlocked.

Battery 70%
got even the same error, i'm on 1910.64
anybody got an solution?
regards

This is a known issue with the EDL unlock. The process flashes a generic SD855 bootloader which is incompatible with the phone. You need to reflash the ROG 2's bootloader. Read through this thread from this point on: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=81115213&postcount=18

I found this solution and it may help you and anyone with the same problem here.

FYI, I tried disabling the stock messages app and installing this and it returned with a corrupt package error.
I believe all these settings are in a TMO CSC file that we would have to pull bits and pieces out of in order to make a zip that runs them.

Have you rooted? If so you can look in 'System/omc' folder and you'll see a TMO folder....perhaps moving some of those files into your XAA folder in same location. Be backed up before trying any of that, and i have no clue as to if that will do it for you.
You could also try flashing the TMO CSC if you decide to root (during step 2 of root process)
Not yet, I believe I'm on the snapdragon variant. Unlocked US version. And if that's true, I believe the only way to root at the moment is worth samfail and I can't live with the battery issue. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

You are correct. Just fyi it is possible to achieve a 100% charge by leaving phone in download mode for the time it takes to go from 80% to 100%. Did exactly that last night.
Here's today's stats versus about a week ago without root, both from 100%

I've been using my Mi 9 for a month. It's just great, everything work like a charm, smoothly, like butter. But I've been experiencing some battery issues for 2 or 3 days. "Android" and "Android OS" are draining my battery, (approx. 50 percent total) I can feel, my device is heating up. Can you tell me, how can I solve this problem, can you help me please? Thank you so much, really appreciated.
Are you on stock rom? My device was a bit warmer when I was on stockrom at least. Now I'm on Revolution OS (+ I debloated that additionally) and everything seems fine (using it since ~1 month as well). I can't put my finger on that problem but I ran into something similar as well!
I would try debloating your device or switch your rom (Go with xiaomi.eu or Revolution OS). I hope that helped!

How to debloat?
Im on xiaomi.eu witch magisk
Thank you for your answer. BTW, I forgot to mention my software version, MIUI 10.2.3.0. Is there any method to solve this problem, I'm new at Android and flashing ROMs.
I'm thinking of that, maybe, I experienced that problem because of installing an app, or something.

Try holding down the volume up and power buttons at the same time so your phone boots into recovery. I'm pretty sure the stock recovery had a wipe system cache option. If it does wipe the system cache, boot back into the system and see if there is any improvement.
You could also try using the built in cleaner in the security app. Since it's a system app the built in cleaner can clean app cache and various other things that a cleaner downloaded from the Play Store could not without having root access. Just make sure you look at what it's cleaning before you do it or the cleaner might delete something you actually want to keep like media artwork.
You could also download an app like Better Battery Stats from the Play Store. Without root access you will need to follow the instructions showing how to give the app elevated privileges via ADB (they provide step-by-step instructions that should be easy to follow). BBS might be able to show you if a specific app is causing your problem.

I think it's the roaming icon. Just check whether you've turned on roaming.

[RESOLVED] Redmi Note 9 Hard Hard Hard Bricked Help?

Okkaayy guys, so, i'll take you to the end of the whole thing which is, I installed and downgraded 2 versions in stock rom, which was V12.5.1.0 worked like a charm, then I updated the version with Xiaomi's original it's own system updater to newer version and it was still fine then I updated it to Android 12, MIUI 13 and it bootlooped.
So, I wasn't able to get into recovery, trieedd soo many times and neither I was able to get in to fastboot mode. What did I do? Flashed it again with Format All + Download option. I got the bar and everything but I waited a bit and nothing happened. I'm like, is this working? And I did the mistake. I pulled the plug. And here I am. Surely I've 60+ battery. Besides that I charged it for more than 15 minutes. No power button works, no fastboot, no recovery. Nothing "HAPPENS". Literally. No matter what I do, how long I press to any button, device won't turn on in any sort of way. Libusb still detects it as Mediatek driver but I can't use SP Flash Tool because simply device won't turn on. Bypass utility stays like this.

Held power button for 5 min (literally I did) nothing happened
No fastboot or recovery
SP Flash Tool simply can't do the trick because device doesn't turn on
I have 60+ battery %100 surely.
USBLIB still able to detect the port.
What do? Is it even possible to rescue this poor guy? It was my main phone btw...
EDIT - UPDATE: I have no idea how but I was playing around with SP Flash Tool, trying to do some things, nothing was actually happening but like after few minutes phone just gone back into bootloop, It turned on, I genuinely don't know how and just for confirmation, after I installed stock rom back my charge is %73 so surely it wasn't related to my battery. IDK this devices are weird. Sorry for the topic mods..
