*Hello guys!I have heard lof of us face gps issues with any Android 10 custom rom so i have found a way to fix this issue easily just follow the steps carefully
Requirements:
Rooted Device
File Manager(solid explorer or miXplorer)
Steps:
I have modified the gps.config file to lock up much faster and also to update with movement in real time
1.download the modified gps.config and copy to your vendor/etc and paste it
2.Make sure the permission of the file is*rw-r--r--
3.reboot the device
4.Use the app gps status and toolbox and follow the steps
A.Open app> tools> manage A-GPS state>Reset
B.Open app> tools> manage A-GPS state>Download
C.use GPS status to start fixing satellites
5.reboot the device
6.use an app called gps locker to lock satellites and make a proper connection
7.your gps must work now
Important Note:
After you lock your gps with the satellites if you wish to move from one area to other then use the gps locker app again to lock with the satellites again to make a proper working of gps
Any bugs or issues do tell i will check and fix it

Idk if maybe I'm just an idiot but I couldn't get it working bro I ended up going back to stock Rom and the apps don't work on that now lol.
Weird thing is Google maps gets my location np so Idk why the tracker apps don't now.
I'll try again though when I switch again as it's most likely me messing up since I'm kinda new to this.

okay, i will try again in a little while, is it long time until the swedish language is available? and the app superuser permission isnt there?
Edit, will flash in this rom again when it is a little bit more stable, cant get get any network connection at all, too bad, i really liked the clean eclair, with flan lockscreen and everything,
edit2: i can make call and textmessage, but i couldnt use market without WiFi,
Awesome, just what I was looking for!
Found a few bugs worth noting. The screen auto-brightness doesn't work and it seems that the sdcard won't get mounted when I connect the phone through usb.

Thanks for your efforts ali ba. I've almost lost hope for stock Android on my Legend. I'll flash your rom once it reaches a more or less stable stage (work phone - got to be working reliably). Thanks again, good luck.
nice job ali ba! flashed your rom yesterday.
So far the only issues found besides the all mentioned auto brightness problem is that i'll get a FC on the stock music app. Also the powercontrol widget is a bit euh wrong. The green stripe indicating auto-brightness is on is not on the right spot. could be related to the earlier mentioned problem.
Furthermore I was expecting a white version of the powercontrol. At least that is what i see when viewing all those those other devices running AOSP. But I could be wrong ofcourse
again, good job done

I just checked the sources: The widget is the original one as can be found in the vanilla sources of the AOSP. I did not replace anything at all. Maybe, once all the other issues are sorted out, I will try to patch and recompile it.

I had the pleasure of testing this ROM for kravind and I must say that other than GPS, it is rock solid. Just make sure you follow the necessary steps (as usual) before flashing it.

I do not think that is possible unless you make the changes in the framework.
Atrix Fast GPS Lock
Hi, this mod make the lock really fast, lock in no more than 60 seconds, by default is set for USA but you can change that
In order to get the lock you need to change your position, which means you can't stay sit and wait for the lock, so do a walk, not need to go too far, from bedroom to the kitchen would work.
Just flash it from recovery and test it with gps status
UPDATE:
If you think it couldn't go faster try the update, for better lock edit "/system/etc/gps.conf" line #1 "h-slp.mncXXX.mccYYY.pub.3gppnetwork.org" with the mnc:mcc of your carrier, 3 digit each, line #3 "us.pool.ntp.org" with your ntp country
Changelog:
v05182013 - A cocktail of bins and confs files
v05192013 - Added new bins and confs files, no need to do a walk, just shake it, no kidding, shake it
v06062013 - added some new libraries thx to ravilov
Still not locking? try post #10

It's free.
Open It and change - - > You'll see, it's very simple!
I saw this addon contains more files relative to the other.
So I did a little experiment.
Extract the file gps.conf from GPS Neutrino addon, which is in Brazil.zip
I deleted the file gps.conf from this addon (Atrix4g-GpsFix.zip).
Applied the gps.conf file (extracted from Neutrino addon) in Atrix4g-GpsFix.zip
Installed through recovery and ... BINGO!!!
Gps configured!
Now I just need to test, here where I live the signal is weak due to the top floors of the house, I will test later on the street.

Just a side note, there are some binaries in the package too, plus it modifies the system's gps.conf file, so this procedure won't get you rid of everything.

Awesome! worked as described. I will be running this for bit and will report any bugs. Thanks for prompt response.
edit: I've been running this heavily with bluetooth streaming and appears to be rock-solid. Only issues so far are some random force closes but a reboot seems to have cleared up most of the issues.
edit 2: I've had 1 soft reboot so far. I was streaming bluetooth, then made a call, then when call ended the phone soft rebooted. The phone loaded fine and was not stuck on logo.
edit 3: Small bug found. When root access is granted to a program, it takes me back to the setup section and NOT the last program that requested the root privilege. Also calendar and Google search have force closes. Ended up uninstalling calendar and reinstalling from backup. For Google search, just restored a backup which fixed the issue.

Are there any bugs I should know about? I want to run an AOSP/AOKP/CM-based ROM while on vacation this upcoming week. I don't want to deal with the stock ROM since it's so freaking slow and laggy.
One more question! Have you tested the battery life? If so, is it good, bad, the same?

There are not bugs that I have noticed and I have been running it for a couple of days... The battery is on par with all of the others... If you want even better battery search for code kernel on droidrzr. It is built for performance and battery life.
Never mind. I'm dumb. I figured it out.
Looks like a very nice ROM. Anyone know if dock line-level audio out (analog, over the USB port) works on this build?
Huh, just saw this thread.
Nice to see ProBAM, built for other devices.
If you needed anything regarding the ROM, feel free to PM me or codexc.
Keep up the good work. :good:
Does Global function work?
I'm interested in flashing the ROM. I'm currently here in Taiwan on business and using GSM feature to run a local SIM card while I'm here. I am currently running Eclipse ROM 1.4 and it's pretty stable and the Global feature works. I don't want to flash if the feature is not available. If it is and no one tested, then I might give it a shot while I'm here. Thanks for porting another ROM :good:
I'm using the XT926 on verizon

Ok...so just flashed the ROM. The global function is working as the local sim card I'm using is recognized. I have a slight problem as I don't have any of the app menu icon on the screen. My rom loaded with a complete blank home screen, no widgits except for google bar. I can't seem to locate the feature to unhide the icons. Can you help with that? I currently can't add any widgets or even go to the app menu to long press them and add to my home screen. I've messed with the customization menu's but can't seem to find the setting. Also, I installed the Aug 11 build from the repository. I noticed there are 3 of them. I would assume the latest build was the one to load?

You are correct. I did a factory reset and everything came back up. Although it was glitchy with regards to app performance. I am using TWRP and only did the factory reset w/ advanced wipe. I found that doing a whole system format of the internal storage corrected the issues. Thanks.:victory:
Download-Link is broken
Does that mean it has been pulled from working with our phones?
Hey guys I'm going to keep this clean and simple.
What you will need:
--The .apk from here (APKMirror ftw!)
--The .zip file I've attached to this post (the .so files are extracted from the .apk file) It is not flashable!!!!
--The latest Marshmallow preview installed
--Root
Steps:
1) Download the .apk and the zip files
2) With your favorite Root Browser, browse to /system/priv-app/Velvet/
3) Delete the current Velvet.apk and replace it with the new one make sure the permissions are correct (-rw-r-r)!!!
4) Then browse to /system/priv-app/Velvet/lib/arm/, delete all the .so files there, then place the ones you downloaded and extracted from the zip here again, make sure the permissions are correct (-rw-r-r)!!!
5) Reboot
6) Profit!
Notes: This does set the app drawer back to horizontal scrolling, and Voice search works, along with the hotword detection (everywhere)! If you guys want screenshots/proof of hotword detection working I can upload screenshots later. But please be sure to explicitly tell me.
Thanks!
First? Lol.
Hey thanks, it worked! No more FC when searching!

Good to know it's working Thanks!
So the permissions for -rw-r-r would be 640? Is that correct? Thanks

The function(s) of the app are not any different. The Google Search 5.2 update changed most aesthetics of the app. Screenshots can be found in a compilation here: http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/09/01/google-app-updated-to-version-5-2-33-with-new-logo-icon-color-galore-and-slightly-revamped-google-now-ui-apk-download/ (thanks to AP!). So the hotword detection isn't any different functionally, but it looks different.

Try first deleting some system apps then rebooting. If that doesn't work try another file manager and see if that works.

Woah you're right... The lockscreen works perfectly but when the phone is on there's a problem. I know its a problem with the "draw over Apps" setting in M because 5.1 had an option there and 5.2 doesn't... Dang it Google! On the good side you can still do calculations and send messages because it reads the "solutions"...
Thanks for the report I'll add it to the OP ASAP

Thanks, before you posted this I actually went into TWRP and mounted System, then it worked.
Anyone have any experience fixing an install after the velvet directory is deleted? I copied the libs and the apk, but it won't "install", parse error.

There's no need to install it. Simply copy everything then reboot. It will install automatically after a reboot if you did everything correctly.
Why Can't I delete the Velvet.apk?

Hmmn...well, I set all permissions correctly and rebooted, but no go. I wonder if you neat the odex file in the oat directory?
EDIT: Forgot to fix permissions of the Velvet directory itself...now it works.
