Ok. I know where to go into settings and select download any connection on both toggles, but it still wants Wi-Fi on and I don't have it in my home. Any ideas to fix this?
Thanks

it switched to it, yet Google Chrome Beta is not available.
btw, the market to which it switched is in italian. is that ok?

It IS important. Keeping an active notification helps prevent the system from closing it.
Long press the notification and once you go into app settings, disable notification... Wouldn't this help atleast till reboot?

I tried that, originally, but long pressing on it goes to an Android System window and does not allow to disable the notification

Too bad this requires for the device to be rooted
Or you can just download get assistant app from playstore and you get it in one click
None of this is necessary.
Just make sure you have the most up to date Google and Play Services apps, clear data and cache for Google app, reboot. Hold home button to enable.

After updating your apps, go to settings, scroll down to "Personal" section. Select Google at the bottom of that section. Scroll all the way down and select Search. In Search select "Enable Google Assistant." Select "continue" and then "Get Started". After that, you should be able to access Google Assistant. Of note, I am using the latest beta versions of Google Search and Play Services.

Cube ACR was the only one suggested to work. I can hear myself but not the other party. This is a limitation Google have set in A10.
