As of two minutes ago I was able to register for the OneUI 2.0 Beta in the Samsung Members app and am in the process of downloading the update now! I'm running the latest U1 firmware for reference!
Banner in Members app is pretty low key, but it's there. I'm downloading it as well and will check back in on the flip side.
Running on AT&T Prepaid, by the way.

Is this for carrier unlocked or factory unlocked?
I'm on the unlocked U1 firmware so it would technically be an unlocked phone.
Any idea if carrier locked will be able to join?

I haven't seen any info on who in the US is getting beta access so I don't know. However if you really want to try the beta you can do what I did last year when pie was rolling out. You can flash to the U1 firmware even on a carrier locked phone and then you SHOULD be able to register through the Members app. No guarantees though.
Mine is also an unlocked Snapdragon version purchased directly from Samsung. To reiterate what has been said, you can flash the unlocked firmware to your device and pick up the update.

who will share the beta link android 10 for G960U1?
ASHA Support?
Does anyone KNOW if the S9 beta released today (12/11) for the US unlocked S9 includes Android Streaming Hearing Aid (ASHA) support?
I own a pair of Resound LiNX Quattro hearing aids that (according to Resound), have support for Android streaming via ASHA (they state that Android 10 and Bluetooth 5.0LE are required), I know my S9 had Bluetooth 5.0LE, but after installing the beta today, I can't get streaming to the hearing aids to work. I'm thinking that either the ASHA support isn't in Samsung's beta build, or the hearing aid manufacturer doesn't actually support it...

It appears Sammobile has taken down the latest CSK1 G960U1 software. Everytime I try to DL it says it's been permanently moved. Does anyone know of another good source for this firmware?:fingers-crossed:

Is this the latest Pie build? If so I suggest Frija. It's a nice little program available here in xda which will download the latest firmware for you. Also much faster than most sites out there for download speed.
Not sure if this will work for me now that I'm reading it over. It appears I would need a 960U1 device to obtain its firmware? I have a 960U AT&T and wanting to flash U1 firmware to get the Beta DL link.

You absolutely can. The devices are the same whether branded or unlocked. I have an AT&T branded 960U and I've been running U1 for well over a year.

Thanks jwzg, I had found those settings, but all of them seem to relate to modifying the speaker outputs -
As an FYI - ASHA is intended to allow synchronized bluetooth connections to two separate devices, a left and a right hearing aid.

On a factory unlocked S9. Installed the beta yesterday. Smooth and easy so far. Nothing too dramatic as far as improvements, really. I think the days are gone when the updates have amazing new features that we've never seen before. But it seems stable, and no glitches yet.

I've noticed an issue for me on the gesture navigation. I've used it since Pie so I'm accustomed to swiping up in different spots to go back or home. On the beta though whatever I have open seems to catch the swipe action In addition to the navigation. So if I have the keyboard open it registers as key strokes. If I have my email open it scrolls through my emails as it closes. This wasn't happening on Pie.

There is a "more options" setting that will allow you to change it to the same swipe gestures as Pie. I wasn't feeling that new fancy left swipe, right swipe deal either.

The leak last week was 6.16.200 this is 206. I don't know what might be new/updated. The download has the crc file too!
If anyone is interested in trying sugarsync send me a pm with an email. I will send you an invite that will give both of us bonus storage.
Works Flawlessly
I just got his all set back up and was able to restore root via Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper. Also, I wanted to mention that I just tried ADB and ADB sees my device and I can SU to the root prompt as well.
I wonder if the inability on the previous leak was a bug that was patched in this leak.
Anyway, thanks for the update! Keep up the great work!
P.S. I'm coming from the stock 219 GB ROM and I did a factory reset before applying this update.
Edit: I just noticed that my phone isn't seeing my SD Card while plugged into the computer. There isn't a charge-only option. No worries though.
Phone Model: Maserati
Android Verison: 4.0.4
Kernel: 3.0.8
Webtop: wt-3.0.0
Build: 6.7.2-180_DR4-16_M2-26
Build Date: Sat May 19 20:31:14 CDT 2012
Webtop 3.0 ICS
So, I've been using the new Webtop 3.0 on my Atrix Lapdock and I musts say that it is very different than the previous Gingerbread Webtop
PROS:
I like the new tablet view you get when you dock your phone.
Phone apps seem integrated a lot better
Webtop is much more responsive
CONS:
Ubuntu seems to have been removed completely. I'm worried about future mods / Webtop development
Desktop Firefox is also gone. However, I have Dolphin browser and that seems to work fine.
All-in-all this version of Webtop seems more responsive and better integrated, so +1 for the average user I suppose but doesn't seem very Dev friendly.
Let me know what you guys think
Yes, this is the drawback of webtop 3+, it is native android. Honestly, it is a much easier way to go, and will promise more google/motorola dev in the future, but sucks for us who were excited at running ubuntu.
I see this as a good step forward. There will be less memory issues now, and yes, we will have to use android apps rather than desktop firefox, but then all is windowed instead of just in the mobile view.
We can also look forward to Canonical's ubuntu phones eventually. With a nice quad core, that'll be what I will be using when it is available! In the mean time, I will have to put to bed my like of ubuntu/webtop2.x in favor of a more workable solution. Who knows, perhaps the vnc viewer will look good on webtop 3.x if you have ubuntu installed...
Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk
Does this version of webtop require a external pointing device? All I have is the travel adaptor that enables the webtop I bought it thinking I could use the touch screen as a track pad not the case.... I hope this one does....
Sent from my DROID4 using XDA
The phone becomes a touch screen in webtop mode, but you are definitely better off with a BT mouse and keyboard if you really want to use it a lot.
I agree about the removal of Ubuntu, it's far more useful to average users but you could do some very interesting and unique things with the Ubuntu installation that won't be possible with this setup.
Has anyone tried to roll back from ICS to GB? I know I'm asking something that can be a nightmare, but I figured I'd ask and see if anyone tried it yet. Also has anyone done a system dump of the new release yet?
I have not tried the rollback, i just hope I have a roll forward eventually
DarkMidnight, i am also using my atrix lapdock, do you have an issue with your screen resolutoin/aspect ratio? I have everything on my screen as it should be, but I have a black bar on top and bottom like i am watching a widescreen movie on an old TV that was square. I was wondering if this ROM doesnt like the atrix lapdocks, and was thinking about swapping out a few of the dock files from a atrix rom.
I honestly think the resolutin is correct, it is as if the monitor is using the wrong refresh or aspect ratio. Not sure how to tweak it. In the settings i have toggled the hdmi plugin detection on and off a couple times, and I can see that there is a resolution setting, but it is greyed out. thoughts?
all in all, i like having ICS and webtop 3. I was skeptical but took the leap, and i dont regret it, providing I can fix my resolution prob. I love that there is no lag from running two operating systems in one little handheld PC! With webtop 3, it just runs smooth.

Trying to go back to GB will brick your phone. DO NOT DO IT!!!
So we're seeing the same issues as the last version. I guess I'll have to wait till we can roll back as needed. Thanks
What "issues" are those that you are speaking of? I just noticed that overnight I lost root I did the root keeper and actually used root apps last night, but as of earlier today, I do not have it. Anybody have any ideas?

Hey Guys I don't know if I am alone on that one. I've updated to 4.0.4 on my D4, still rooted thanks to Voodoo but for some reason I can't get 4G LTE service. My 4g LTE blanks for not even one second then the phone goes to 3G. Anyone experiencing it?!!!

So will I be able to use a GSM SIM from the UK on this while I'm there or do I still have to unlock something?
The .zip file from the OP. That can be flashed from recovery as is or does it need to be unzipped?

Yes on the icons being small.
No on the unzip of this file. It is to be installed in stock recovery, thus remains a zip.

You need to unzip it first. When you unzip you'll get 2 files (one .zip and one .crc). Put the .zip file on your sd card and flash through stock recovery.

When you reboot the device it will do the updates on one of the reboots. This is true even if you "delayed" the update.
There is a way to prevent the previous update (you can see on this forum). Unless they found a way around that work around good chances that the same work around would work for this update. I would recommend doing the work around now and before this update.
The work around for previous update. Hope this will work for this update too.

I read someplace today that Samsung made a request to the makers of all package disablers on the Playstore to block the Note 7 from being able to take advantage of this... I'll try and find the article.
The one i found isnt supported by the playstore and still has the update packages. Look at the link JaguarXT posted
I highly doubt all the apps are getting on board. I used titanium to block a lot of samsung crap before this and I never got the last update and I won't get this update either.
According to what I read, T-Mobile will be pushing the update on December 27th, that's what CNET is reporting. It also mentions the dates for AT&T as well as Sprint.
Yep I got text from tmobile says starting 27 phone won't be able to charge so turn it in.
Looking like it's time to find a replacement, sadly nothing seems up to par
It will seem like a bold change from what I know and am used to but I'm considering the Honor 8. The specs don't seem to bad for the price point. But it's definitely not a Note 7. I was thinking about going back to the Note 5 but I don't even see it available on the T-Mobile website anymore.

That's because you had the good foresight to root, unlike some of us (pointing at myself). Samsung strong-armed all the package disabler devs on the Play Store to no longer block System apps! The way around it was then to purchase the new version anyway and obtain a license, uninstall, then side load an older version. But then in another update even that route was blocked by no longer granting licenses or something. Then someone provided another app independent of the Play Store to side load which is what is being referred to above. It's gotten nasty!!!! Our ranks will shrink further as those who are severely technically challenged fail to take measures to block this update. Personally, I can't help but wonder/worry if Sammy has some type of back door, but that's the conspiracy theorist in me, lol!

Why? You should have just kept the Note7 until the S8 came out... now you have an obsolete phone in 3 months.
I still have the Note 7, the s7 edge worked out in my favor actually. They gave me a Gear VR and now when the next phone drops I'll give my wife the s7 edge. She still has an S5 so it will be a nice upgrade for her.
I'm lost dude. So I have the second version of the Note 7, you know, the one that was supposed to not malfunction. Model # SM-N930T with T-Mobile. OK, so my phone did receive the forced update that make my battery charge to only 60%, I was able to use ODIN and put back the stock firmware, I installed PACKAGE DISABLER PRO and blocked the necessary items needed so I am now at 100% battery life. How is it that we know that is still not enough to block this new update that is coming to cripple the Note 7??? Maybe we are still safe, or is it FACT that it WILL still be forced even though we have the updates and tmobile and Samsung items blocked? Also, with what I have explained, can my phone still be rooted and install a custom ROM or am I too late or second version of Note 7 it was never possible???? Someone please help, I am not a noob, I have been installing custom ROMs since Galaxy S2, but at the same time I am no PRO. All info will help me and the community clarify this sticky situation. I'm not 100% sure but the steps with package disabler that you've done should allow you to not have to worry about the new update coming through, someone correct me if I'm wrong.
As for rooting you're out of luck, only the original firmware that shipped with the phone was rootable. After that, this is as good as it gets for us firmware wise
Thnx

Hi, everyone!
Since Samsung has ignored my question regarding the missing shutter sound feature in their unlocked version I have decided to post it here in the hope that someone has a solution. Disabling the system sounds solve this, but I would rather use another option, such as renaming the shutter sound or an alternative. I'm posting here photos only of the software differences between the Note 9 (T-mobile VS Unlocked) versions. As for the ****ter sound fiasco, the long story shortened:
I bought my Note 9 unlocked directly from Samsung, but my wife got her from T-mobile. I was looking to disable the shutter sound but couldn't find that option, so I've opened on both phones the camera settings and surprisingly found that the shutter sound option is present only in the T-Mobile variant. This indicates that Samsung doesn't really care about the customers in specific markets as they push one firmware for all (just renaming it to match the region). The law in certain countries such as Japan prohibits the disabling of such feature, but the States has no such regulations so it should not be put under this umbrella as well. Other than that, I love my Note 9, but I dislike the way Samsung mistreating its customers with such generalizations. Rooting is not an option as it will kill Samsung Pay, so please suggest a solution aside from disabling the system sounds. I posted this question at Samsung Plus, but the moderator marked it falsely as solved. I don't want to look like a whiner, but Samsung should have played this better, considering the hefty price tag($1K) of their phone, and provide a specific region/country firmware without the limitations known to exist only in certain markets. Thanks in advance for your time, folks!

I had this issue with the Note 8 last year. Told Bixby to "turn off camera shutter sound" and that worked. Don't know if it will work on the Note 9....worth a shot.

Definitely not saying I don't want it! I'm just not sure how to tell whether or not it's been something that I use now or have used before. I couldn't really find a way to tell if it's been functioning.
So on my unlocked note 9 (snapdragon) when my phone is on vibrate or silent there is no shutter sound, I work in an office so I'm usually on vibrate mode negating this issue. I prefer having a shutter sound when I'm not in a quiet environment like an office, this way I know when a pic actually is taken, especially with the new spen feature. I don't see this as a huge deal if you use vibrate / silent mode. If you really want Samsung to make a change, the camera app is an regular Samsung app (go to camera settings >about) that can be updated from the galaxy app store, if your request goes to Samsung they could update the app easily
On android 10 Visual Voicemail doesn't work for the gsm networks but works CDMA networks only. When I switch to Pixel 3XL runs android 9 it works on that version So it's clear that it is the issue of the coding of 10 but google support says it is the issue of the carrier and contact them. They can't understand what I am really trying to say. if it is the issue of the carrier then how it will work on android 9 ? even my one plus runs on a custom ROM can work this feature. A flagship phone like google doesn't work this thing ?
Anyway Guys please do report this issue and give a feedback about this issue. I have attached a working picture pixel 3Xl runs on android 9 [Build - PQ2A.190205.001 ]

Put this in Questions and Answers. You will get more attention there for this. (Also in curious too)
Phone app - settings - voicemail - visual voicemail.
I think it should appear as a tab at the bottom of the UI automatically, if your carrier/phone plan has it.

I contacted the carrier, it is pre-activated on every sim. Also they said they do support for phone that brought it from their inventory. But when I put the sim back to my old phone oneplus 6 running on custom rom Derpfest to check it is working or not and it is still working. when I turned on my phone the visual voicemail option came right away but its not working on pixel phones. So I think they have to do some coding to get this stuff on pixel phones. I have attached some screenshots of my previous phone running a custom rom. Please check it out. On a custom rom can work this feature it supposed to be working on pixel phones too right?

Looks like it is working. It would not show anything in voicemail tab of the phone app if it wasn't working. Like you would have to call your voicemail number and enter your pin to get your messages.

Here are some screenshots of phone settings menu.
If you are using a custom rom, talk to the developer.

I am on stock rom. I reported to the pixel team. Waiting for the response. Which rom are you using. Can you show the picture of dailer app
Are you on simple mobile? I have the same problem. It worked initially with my pixel 3 XL but then randomly stopped and I haven't got it back since. Upgrading the the 4XL I have the same issue. They even sent me a new SIM card but no luck. I can get it to work using a 3rd party app but it's not integrated into the diaper. For now I've resorted to using Google voice for my VM.

Two things.
First being that I use att and also do not have it integrated into the dialer. I have to use their app to get visual voicemail.
Second being that you put "integrated into the diaper" which is clearly a typo but made me laugh more than it should have.

Haha. God damn autocorrect. Yes I use diaper more than dialer these days thanks to my 1 year old twins. Even as I typed this it tried to correct it.
Regarding the visual voicemail - I'm thinking it's something Google has to change on their end since it was working before and works on the OnePlus as the OP posted.

I don't remember exactly but it was before the Q update. It randomly stopped working on my pixel 3 XL. I briefly got it back after clearing app data on the phone app back then but it went away again. Makes me think it's an app or server side issue.

App issue, if i switch back to my previous phone running custom rom its works. But t in pixel rom so its app issue. Please send a report to devs of the pixel
I have an AT&T Pixel 4 XL and I still can't get this damn feature to show up. I'm not rooted (can't because it's locked until it's paid off). Anyone know a way I can enable it without root?

There is no relation with root and visual voice mail. They have to do some coding to get it work. I already reported the issue. They said send the feedback. Do the same. That's the only to workout also contact pixel support regarding this. As far as i know it works only sprint and verizon only.

Brought a p3 xl running on Android 9 and on that phone visual voicemail is working. So the issue is with Os of 10. I contacted support and they couldn't understand what am saying. They blaims its the issue of carrier service. Please contact the support let them know you facing the issue

NO WAY..Im down to try anything to help. i got the 21 ultra tmobile unlocked
1st to be done is modify odin accordingly. it will need to be modified before hand to simplify the process for end users and reduce risk of fck ups. After that its simply implementing the code i already have.

All up to the latest, BL5. I need someone with an S22 to test it very soon. very likely this method will allow S22 BL unlock too. it seems quite universal according to some of the contributers on Github
Great news!
This is awesome news! Just figured I'd ask considering currently only up to v1 is available for unlock and I believe that's paid only so didn't want to get my hopes up with having up to the Feb update v5 and it only work for say v4 lol

This will be free, full stop. The process im working on uses Legit Samsung/Qualcomm Dev resources to unlock the BL without triggering knox/screwing up "Secure Apps" like Samsung pay etc, but is also the reason its taking so long to finish. Essentially trying to replicate the "factory process" the engineers use to unlock their BL's during R&D.
This is very promising and you guys are awesome for all the hard work you put in!
I've been kicking myself since realizing only v1 could be unlocked prior. Was actually about to sell off my current factory unlocked S21 ultra and jump ship to RedMagic/ROG. Only hold back for either was the OS on both.
Still may if after dumping samsung's bloatware this thing doesn't stop heating up. Not exactly happy being stuck tethered to a cord using a "phone cooler" to even watch a video (pnp) & use Amazon. Let alone the space the bloat I don't use takes up.

If your phone is overheating check out an app called "Alliance Sheild X" - use it to open some of the internal engineer apps in the "Device Keystring" app. Just be CAREFUL playing with options - look up some of the settings you find, i know for fact there's some in there related to battery/charging current/ display voltage etc. again, use with caution, but if your technically inclined you might find some options that will help you accomplish lowering your devices temps as well as increasing battery life.

Alliance Shield X uses a zero touch config with Knox Configure so device owner persists after factory reset, as well as reflashing firmware (nand erase included). The flash will appear to have been successful to the naked eye but alas, it will still be managed. The files exists in whichever part of the dynamic partition (A/B) is not in use, I wouldn't recommend using it. Looking forward to the BL unlock, awesome news to hear & appreciate your work immensely.

Not meaning in terms of flash, but simply to use hidden system processes to have more granular control of battery etc. lots of hidden features on these phones. I just simply prefer ASX to find said hidden features in Device keystring, RLZDebug, Google Partner Setup, PreConfig, etc. used in conjunction with a desktop program you can find here on XDA, or simply ADB shell, you can do quite a bit of manipulation.
Also, DEX seems to have some interesting hidden bits too.
