Yellow Triangle Alert Screen - MTCB Android Head Units General

Hello!
I just got my Dasaita Max6 installed by CarToys, into my 2014 Fiat 500. I have a couple questions. I have no steering wheel control. CarToys said the included wires won't allow steering wheel control. Is there anything I can do in the settings to make it work? Or do I need to buy a specific cable?
Also, a yellow triangle alert screen will randomly pop up while I'm driving. It stops the audio and I can't use any buttons on the stereo while the yellow triangle is being displayed. It only seems to come on when I hit a bump in the road, and won't go away until I hit another bump? Is this a loose wire, or just a coincidence?
Last question, does this stereo support an iPod? Thanks everyone for your help!!!!!

Incorrect forum BTW, you have an MTCD/E. I would take it back for refund or remediation.

ExtUSB - How it knows that a headset is plugged in?

Hi,
I just bought an active Brodit Carholder with a 1-to-3 adapter, but I dont want to use (for now) the 3.5 mm connector for sound. The problem is, that my Diamond thinks that a Headset is connected, while plugged in, no matter if a headset is connected or not (3,5mm or ExtUSB). So I cant hear my Navigation Program...
Has anyone an idea how to "say" my Diamond to use its own speaker while plugged in (I'd prefer the Hardware-method, like connecting some contacts inside the 1-to-3 adapter).
Brodit Issue!!!
Same problem here!!! Can anybody help us out? So many smart people here, this problem should be an easy one (I would guess)
Thanks in advance!!!
I've the same Problem! Is there any answer?
go to registry
HKLM/System/State/Hardware/Headset
check its value when connected and when disconnected....
it must be "0".
Brodit Issue
Does this mean that I need to set it everytime when I put my Diamond in the Brodit car holder? There must be an easy way.......
But thanks anyway, let me try
Thanks, but I'd prefer a hardware method like cutting a cable/bridging two etc... so I don't have to set this registry value everytime i put my diamond into the carholder..
There must be an easy way thats right!
It don't work if i change the registry, when die headset is connected,
the value changes to 1 but when i change it to 0 nothing happens!!
Brodit problem
Has nobody got a solution for this problem? So many smart people up here...
PLEASE HELP
Thanks guys!!!
Hello, got also this problem i'm using the touch Pro, can anyone help me?
when my phone is in the Brobit carkit it thinks that my headset is connected.
So when I receive a call the sound of the conversation is over my car speakers, but there is nog mic.....
Anyone with a solution?
Any News on this?
Thanks!!
The only extUSB cable that worked well for me is the YC-A300 cable. It only sends out the sound if the headphones are plugged in, otherwise the sound comes from the Diamond speaker. It also enables the Diamond's built-in mic even if the headphones are connected.
No-one here can even be expected to help you with this problem. You were given the only solution available from the phone's end. So what makes you think that someone can give you a better answer. Most of the people here are phone modders, not accessory modders. And everything here has to do with SOFTWARE modding. You want hardware modding, & that isn't happening here. Besides yous guys are probably the only ones here that even have that holder. So you can try looking for a site that has forums developed around the holder that you have. Or, you can try to find a service manual on the holder & see if there is a schematical routing of the wires.
You shoud not have to bridge any of the wires though. It should just be a matter of diconnecting wire(s).
If I understand !nVisible correctly, you only want the charge capability, & nothing else. If so, then here is a possible "hardware" fix.
First make sure that all the wires are color coded.
Cut ALL the wires.
If there is only one black wire then reattach it first. (if possible, don't cut this one at all) {This should be ground -}
Connect the plug into your phone. {Be sure holder's power is plugged in}
Reattach & detach the wires one-by-one until the charge light is activated. {if the charge doesn't activate then disconnect that wire again} {Start with Red, then orange, then variatons of red (red is usually the positive +}
Or, try this:
Attach the plug into your phone whilst holder is powered. {if the holder is activating the headset, then you should see a headset icon in the startbar.}
Cut each wire one-by-one until you deactivate the headset icon. {reattaching the wires that don't deactivate.}
start with blues & greens {if present}
Remember; Black is most always ground, & red {or a variation of} is usually positive.
DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!! I personally would do it this way {if no other solutions existed}; but I've been working on electronics since I was a child {& I went to electronics school }
If you $&%* it up It's on you NOT me!

HTC Diamond headphones autodial problem

I have an wierd problem in my htc touch diamond.
Everytime i connect the headphones it tries to autodial a name in my contacts list.
And if i connect the radio it doest it nonstop... i heard the "bip" and then its like if it wanted to dial a name...
It sounds strange..but it is like that.
hope somenone knows what im talking about cause im gettting nuts...
Spanish original vodafone rom, not that many programs installed, although started doing it after installing thumbcal and pocketmax alarm today.. although I dont think that is the problem since i restored with spb backap a 1 month ago backup i made and still same headphones problem.
Have checked the headphone button.. and it seems to be ok (at first I though if maybe was stuck..)
Got the same problem. Did anyone know how to solve it?
sounds to me like a faulty headset. Try to connect a different set of headphones and see if it acts the same way.
I got same problem
Hi, your problem solved? my HTC diamond got the same problem, so irritating.
I have the same problem, I was told it was that the button on the headphones was too sensitive, so as I never use it I ripped the button off.
It isn't nearly as bad but still does it sometimes.
My friend with the same phone says that this fixed his though.
I think I need to have another go at it, see if I can stop it properly.
Ok, so I pulled the cover from the button on the headphones and ripped out all of the metal button that is attached to the board inside.
It's certainly working so far.
headphones HELP PLEASE!!!
hey guys i picked a pair of headphones from the store they fit my htc daimond and all but wen i plug them in nuthing happens wen i plug ionto to my razr or slvr they work fine is there an app that can help change this or something please help
HTC headphones auto dial problem finally solved!!!!
guys,I am using HTC Touch Pro2,I have same problem when headphone is plugged into HTC touch pro2;
Description of symptom:
Sometimes when you touch or move the wires of headphone,the phone will automatically dial back the first number in your call hisory (it's not "contacts list" as this poster said),the problem is not stable,when you deliberately fiddle with the wires of headphone hoping to find out what is the problem,it doesnt auto dial,while when you casually try to adjust the position of the wires to make yourself comfortable,it auto dials!
People completely have no idea what is going on,like it's a ghost behind it.
I initially believed that maybe the movement of the wires shakes the USB slot,which triggers internal electronic touching or somthing.
Like others,I checked whether there is some button along the wires of headphone,I found none,thus this mystery remains forever.
However,the other day,suddenly I did find a button in the wire. Now pls look at your HTC headphone,the middle of the black box(where two wires are jointed) is the button! the cover of this box is clickable, pls try to click it sveral times,the phone will auto dial.
it is now clear that this clickable cover (button) is specifically designed to auto dial back the call when you use headphone.
The button is so sensitive that even small touch will make it execute.
I had the same problem
I had this annoying problem and i sent my phone in service. I got a new pair of headphones and after some time (~1 year) same problem occured. I think this are the crappiest headphones i ever seen . THX HTC ) anyone found any good headphones (not necessarily original) that I can buy?
same problem
Had the same problem. It's caused by faulty wiring in the headphones. Mine do the calling when the wire at the end of the connector gets wiggled into certain positions (i.e. when I keep it in my pocket or in my hand while running). It's really annoying especially since this is my 3rd set in as many months that has this problem.
I've also noticed that Orange is selling them at a quarter of the price they had in December. I'm guessing they're trying to get rid of them since the new models from htc come with standard headphone jacks.
Only sure fire solution to the problem is getting a new pair.
Same here.
There are other threads about this problem.
Still looking for a solution like, let's say a registry hack that disables the headset button...

Kenwood stereo help

Hey just bought a Kenwood X395 head unit for my 2003 ford focus.
Have everything installed but for some reason every time I shut the ignition off it will reset the stereo settings.
I triple checked all my wires and they are hooked up in the right places, I bought a wire harness and the cables are label as well ( like red is ignition and yellow is battery) I am a little lost Here.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Just a question here. Are you actually running the yellow all the way to the battery or are you tapping into a hot wire? If tapping in the hot wire, is it hot when the ignition is off? It should be.
Where did you get the wiring harness? Have you checked to see if it is pinned out correctly? There is a chance that it may be pinned out incorrectly.

[Question] Heads up display flashes "No Audio"

Hey guys, I've got a px5 1024x600 MTCE octa-core head unit running the latest version of the Hal9k rom in a 2015 nissan altima. I've been looking for a solution to an issue for a while now. It's been a problem even on the stock rom, but I flashed the hal9krom hoping a custom rom would help, but I still haven't found a solution.
I have a heads up display in the dash behind the steering wheel that has a popup that will display audio info. After installing the headunit, if I am not actively in a2dp, the radio app, or the music app, the heads up display will repeatedly flash "no audio" (it will display a full second, disappear for a tenth of second, then immediately display again, repeatedly). This covers up the rest of the info on the heads up display, and the constant flashing on the dash is distracting. If I enter the a2dp or music app, the pop up will go away, but if I use the radio, it will repeatedly show a pop up with the current radio station.
I'm pretty sure it's related to the canbus, but cannot figure out how to configure it. If I set the canbus in factory settings to off, no pop-ups will appear, but the steering wheel buttons also won't work. Any ideas on how to get the pop up to show only one time for a second, or to not pop up at all, but have the steering wheel buttons still work?
Ok, after some trial and error, I figured out a solution. Switching from the Nissan(raise) canbus to the camry15(simple) canbus allows the steering wheel buttons to work, but the heads up display no longer shows audio notifications, which is what I wanted.

Android Auto for Lexus GS2006 Mark Levinson Sound system

Do you have any suggestions to replace the above factory Unit. The Heater controls are in the head unit and controlled by the touch screen ( i know its dumb) also I cant seem to find a unit to do this except for the 12 inch tesla screens and I dont like them but will buy ne if I have to.
thanks
yeah having AC in the touch screen is so annoying, my car has that too. but of course the audio gets physical dials and buttons on the dashboard AND steering wheel
Have you looked into the iDataLink Maestro?
