Mi 9T Pro Global Issues Flashing Rom help - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Questions & Answe

Mi 9T Pro 64 GB Global (MIUI Global 11.0.1 QFKMIXM) with Bootloader Unlocked
I keep running into issue when I install a ROM where one of two things happens every time I try...
I lose TWRP and the system boots directly to Fastboot (seems to happen with MiUI based roms)
I can re-push TWRP via ADB/FastbootTrying to flash any ROMs at this point will result in Error 7 (phone is wrong model)I cannot seem to figure out why or what to do about it. Going back to stock with MiFlash is the only thing I can get to work
I keep TWRP and the system either boot loops or boot directly to TWRP (happens with AOSP Roms)
When this happens it also scrambles sdcard and gives Unable to Wipe FBE Drive when trying to wipeThe only solution I've found to recover is use MiFlash to return to stock and then go through the unlock process again.
I have been trying to follow the ROM dev instructions, which tend to all go somewhat like:
Reboot to TWRP
Wipe Data & Cache/Dalvik (and sometimes System when AOSP)
Flash MIUI 11 vendor/firmware for your device variant (I am guessing this is where I am screwing up, but not sure how...I have also tried starting fulling stock w/OTA updates to see if it helps)
Flash the ROM
Reboot to System
I think this may be an issue of missing something simple, like the wrong FW/Vendor files, but I cannot figure it out exactly what I should be doing.
My goal is to try EvoX and LinageOS; however, at this point I have tried several others and would be happy if I could get any non-factory version working.

N.B Unfortunately i Flashed my device with Mi 9T rom.

(flashing / booting) Problems with all roms

Hi,
since many days I have a new Mi8.
The device is a chineese model, and because it was delivered with unlocked bootloader and a shop ROM, i want to use the latest Xiaomi.eu stable rom.
After flashing the TWRP, i cleared all (System, Data, Cache, internal storage) and installes the latest xiaomi.eu ROM.
Unfortunately the ROM was notstartet. Later i readed, that the xiaomi.eu ROM needs the system partition, so i tried to install some different ROMs.
All tested roms failed to install (device missmatch), so i tried to use different recoveries and at least i updated the vendor Image to MI8Global_V10.3.5.0.PEAMIXM.
After this, some Roms are able to install, mut the ROMs wont boot.
After a clean install of the xiomi global fastboot image, the phone is running, but i still have problems to install custom ROMs or the stable Xiaomi.eu ROM.
The fastboot ROM installation with mi flash tools ends with an error (Not catch checkpoint (\fastboot -s .*lock) Flash is not done (I choosed the option clean all, not the lock function)
cDroid Rom is working, but with this ROM i cant use google pay.
cDroid with update to xiaomi.eu weekly is also working, but also without google pay.
Xiaomi.eu stable - bootloops
Do you have any ideas why i cant use all ROMs?
Should i choose a chineesevendor image or something else?
I also heared, that it could be, that the device bricks, when i try to re-lock the bootloader, is this an option?
Which ROM should work fith functional google pay ?
Thanks in advance
The problem seems to be solved,
i have to flash "Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt" after the flashing of every ROM, then I have no bootloops / boot Problems.
Now i only have the problem with google pay...
I couldn't also get Miui Eu bootable on my mi8 last time. I didn't realize what you had mentioned Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt. But I could manage to get MiRoom Miui workable and it seems ok for now.

DM verity zip removes the 'DM Verity' check that looks for modifications to the boot partitions (D-device M-mapper). You cannot boot with modifications (like root) without disabling the verity check. Also, if you are on a stock ROM, your custom recovery image file will be overwritten with stock upon reboot if you don't disable DM Verity. Hope this helps you understand more.
Found it on this topic.
I´m still looking for a ROM with google pay support, but iu think with unlocked bootloader and without root therre is no chance...

Mic not working during calls - Mi 9

Hey everyone - long time lurker/researcher, but generally good at searching for answers without bugging anyone. This one has me stumped.
I have a Mi 9 CN model (6/128) that has been unable to make phone calls with the main mic without having to toggle Speakerphone on/off
I've tried 3 different custom roms (Xiaomi.eu, Pixel Experience, Evolution), and the Global MIUI 11 rom, but nothing seems to help fix it.
I have the newest version of TWRP installed right now (3.3.1-46), I have tried with and without Magisk installed....right now I don't even have TWRP installed at all on the Global rom.
Same happens for my SO's Mi 9 too as well.
Is there something I'm missing? I've tried turning off WiFi Calling/OK Google detection/VoLTE, rebooted, cleared cache/ cleared data inbetween new ROM installs....
Hardware test shows Main and Top as PASS.
Any tips would be appreciated! I feel like I've tried everything possible.
Thanks in advance~

Your TWRP is right.
Try to flash syberia with recommended vendor exactly step by step and of course really clean install with formatted data yes.
If this isn't working I'll think you've got to flash via pc the stock and then again a custom ROM.

I'm actually going to follow the Evolution instructions (just missed the part about flashing EEA)
So i'm using MiFlash with the MIUI11 EEA boot rom file, then I'll do the normal TWRP -> format data -> install Evolution ROM and test.
Thanks!
So it seems like I'm completely out of luck at this point - I've tried basically everything I can think of, and I think something big must be wrong with the phone's file system.
I've followed Evolution's steps to a T (minus MiFlash having an error at the end of the EEA flashing, but the firmware seeming to load fine) and still run into the no Mic issue.
"Flash MIUI11 eea with miflash
Flash vbmeta.img with "fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img --disable-verity --disable-verification" (Download here)
Flash TWRP
Wipe (dont wipe system/vendor)
Format data
Reboot recovery
Flash rom
Reboot system"
Wipe (don't wipe system/vendor) I assume means just a normal factory reset wipe via TWRP, which I've tried.
I've tried both fw+vendor files (the newest for Android 10 and newest from Xiaomi.eu)
Any other last suggestions before I assumed the phone is broken?
Try to flash xiaomi.eu_multi_MI9_9.11.7_v11-10.zip
With miflash and after factory reset.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...iaomi.eu_multi_MI9_9.11.7_v11-10.zip/download
SO! Update here
I was able to use Evolution X's Android 9 instructions to get everything working fine....but everytime I try to duplicate that for MIUI 11 it does not work.
Reboot to recovery
- Flash the latest 9.8.1 vendor image or full stock ROM.
- Reboot to twrp and format data
- Wipe cache/dalvik
- Reboot back to recovery and flash
I tested using the newest Xiaomi.EU Vendor for Android 10 and the stock one with no luck....more thoughts?
Did you try turning off the VoLTE?

How to flash MIUI without losing TWRP

Hello.
I have a question. How to install MIUI 12 without losing TWRP. The thing is, my Mi 9T Pro is damaged and my computer can't see it (probably the motherboard is damaged). I would like to install Miui but I know that after Miui Rom flash it changes to TWRP on Recovery XIAOMI. I would like to prevent this because if I download Recovery XIAOMI, I will never be able to upload any other ROM. Do you have any suggestions on how to do it?

It was asked/answered in other threads. After flashing the stock ROM from TWRP, reboot to Recovery/TWRP (not to system) and follow the posts #933, #935-#937:

You may try backup recovery>flash rom>restore recovery>boot

Question HELP | How to go back to official recovery?

I bought a used MI 11 Ultra running Xiaomi EU MIUI 13 Stable. The phone had the stock Xiaomi recovery on it, and I tried to flash TWRP onto it.
After having flashed multiple phones with TWRP and custom ROMs before I have run out of patience with this one. TWRP refuses to work. I can flash it and boot onto it the first time, then boot into MIUI. However, any time after that TWRP is useless and unresponsive. Now I have no usable recovery. I am not flashing anything from it, I'm just trying to make it work.
I am aware of the fact that MIUI 13/ Android 12 does not support flashing by TWRP YET, but this is something I wanted to take care of now before I setup the phone for the first time so that when TWRP adds support for Android 12 then I would have it already installed.
At this point I just want to flash the official/stock recovery on the phone, but I can't find a single thread on that.
I'm also worried about the fact that the phone may ask for the password for the MI account that was used to unlock the bootloader.
What should I do?
Any help would be appreciated.
I may be wrong - but the first thing I'd try is to find a stock package, explore it's assets, find the recovery image and flash it with fastboot.
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
It may or may not work, but I'd try it, before I try going "full-stock" by flashing a complete image.

TWRP Bootloop

When I try to install a ROM, no problem installing TWRP and flashing a ROM.
But when I restart, whatever the ROM it systematically restarts on TWRP.
Everything is back to normal when I reinstall the MiUi ROM.
I installed vbmeta, TWRP is kept even with the MiUi ROM.
I tried to install a ROM on MiUi but nothing happened, TWRP is launched systematically after restarting.
I tried with several versions of TWRP but nothing worked.
Also with LOLz kernel with and without; and Magisk too.
Sleep on it !
you have to format DATA and not Wipe !
Hello guys! I'm new here and don't know where to get help. My phone (Xiaomi 4g [phoenix]) has a weird bootloop to it.
I installed Miui 13 eu rom via the name of file is "windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format" now I get a bootloop that goes back to TWRP.
When i checked the my storage on my pc it only shows TWRP folder only. i don't know what to do. i've been sitting the whole day trying to figure to fix my phone.
I downloaded a Miui 12 and installing it via twrp. now after a few minutes of waiting and still get backs to TWRP.

sounds like your data got wiped, thats why theres only a twrp folder in internal. you should prolly full flash a fastboot rom since you mightve missed a few important steps
Hi Fonzacus
Please tell me
What is the reason for flashing that vbmeta img?
Is it always necessary when clean flashing latest crdroid custom ROM?

sorry for the super late response
its supposedly for bypassing android verfied boot (avb). it blocks unauthorized roms from booting. if you search for 'what is vbmeta', we literally get no info at all and mainly speculations (no official docs etc). imho it does seem true
