My MI 8 stopped working the sim, calls and data. Suddenly the wifi also didnt work anymore. Baseband and IMEI information was lost on settings.
Also occur random reboots.
The cell phone has root access and a unlocked bootloader
I tried this method without sucess: c.mi.com/thread-2111243-1-0.html
I enable the DIAG port using the command setprop sys.usb.config diag, adb but when I go to QFIL tool and press the button "restore" in QCN Backup Restore option the status shows:
"checking for phone connection" and the process fails.
I don't know what else to do :crying:

Recently flashed stock because phone would only boot in TWRP instead of Lineage. I used RSD-Lite-Mac to flash and all works well. Device is somehow accepting non Sprint sims but since the IMEI is saying 0 it can't connect to any network. Anybody have a solution to this? Bootloader is unlocked. I don't have a windows machine so MacOS and fastboot/adb are my only options. Oh also when booting I get "Bad Key" in the top right for maybe 5 seconds then it boots normally. Any fix to this too?
So my mi5 had a sudden bootloop, until next morning, phone booted up again but with a very poor performance, so i decided to do a factory reset.
After factory reset, my device can't detect any SIm card, turn out, baseband information was unknown and both IMEI unknown too.
I've tried to restore it via QPST (Diag mode ON, USB debug ON) with others mi5 qcn, but it failed, and giving me "memory restore failed"
Then, i decide to unlock my phone, but the problem is, i can't unlock it because i had to bound mi account with the phone first, and to do that, it need to insert SIM card. Voila, that means i cant unlock bootloader either as my phone cannot detect any SIM card.
Any suggestion to solve it?
My device has unknown baseband and null imei, so tried to fix this problem.
I have unlocked the bootloader and rooted the device.
I have created QCN file with the imei number in my phone box.
I tried to restore the qcn using QFIL but got the following error at the end. My device is in diag mode.

How u destroyed ur imei and baseband? Before unlocking bootloader?
The problem with the phone was that it would not charge, that was the only problem.
I gave it to the local repair shop.
He said that after replacing the board ,the phone was in bootloop.
Then I flashed stock ROM from edl mode.
I remember the imei info was already null during that time, but I thought that it was because it was not detecting my SIM card.
Now I have gone into another problem.
I tried different methods for repairing IMEI, none of them worked.
I saw a post on XDA , this one.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/recover-redmi-note-3-sd-imei-baseband-t3744385
After entering those commands, my phone would not go past mi logo.
I have tried fastboot, edl mode flashing ,no result.
Why create two threads about the same issue that isn't even a ROM/development issue!?!
Hello,
I need some help with my Huawei P20 Pro.
Last week it rebooted by its own and this error appeared:
"Your device has failed verification and may not work properly"
--------------------------------------------
(1) Press power key to continue
(2) Press Volume Up key up to 3 seconds to enter erecovery to restore your phone
(3) Your device will stop start , if there is no operation
After this it goes automatically to eRecovery but none of the options are working, thus "download latest version" and "Emergency backup". Only reboot and shutdown are working, but when the phone boots, this error appears again. When I click on "Emergency backup" the phone wants to reboot. After reboot the error appears and the phone goes to eRecovery again without making a backup.
When I click on "download latest version" it starts downloading and installing an update when I plug in an USB stick (because the storage is full) but it stops at 95% and "downloading package failed" is written there.
Also, the battery is damaged/bloated. I do not know if the battery contributes to the hardware verification.
I have done research on how to enable USB debugging without access to the phone but could not find anything useful. When I boot in fastboot mode there is written: phone locked, FRP lock, so I think it will not be possible to flash TWRP, right?
Is there any way to access the phone without enabling USB-debugging directly on the phone in developer options (e.g to use ABD commands) and to save the data on the phone?
I do not want to lose all my data, so I appreciate every help from you.
Thanks in advance!
I've Redmi 10 Prime, I fiddled with the settings in *#*#4636#*#* and the phone is not able to connect to 4G network, works only in 2G mode, on setting to 4Gor 3G, signal comes after few mins on 3G but nothing works. I tried everything, reset to factory mode, installed new ROM, unlocked the bootloader and tried the command "fastboot erase modemst1" and "fastboot erase modemst2", both commands fail and after reboot still on 2G.
I've a friend who has a Redmi 10 Prime, and I tried my SIM in his phone and it worked fine, so there is something wrong with the modern setting in my phone.
Can I use his phone to extract the modern file and install on my phone, please advise how to do this.
Thanks
