As you can mix and match themes to get the best result. MIUI 11 themes availability are region dependent. This means changing region can unlock themes for that region. Good news is once you download a theme changing region will not remove it.

Hi there,
So, I came across this thread because I was looking for the way to get a certain feature on my Redmi Note 8. On several models of Android phones, I have seen that people get real live weather conditions on their lock screen or home screen. So, for example, when it's raining, it shows actual rain falling down. When it's thundering and lightning out, it shows lightning flashes on the screen.
Does anyone have any idea how I can get this feature on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 8?
I would be so forever grateful if anyone could pass on what they know. Thanks so much.
I love simple homescreen.

through a live wallpaper from the play store perhaps, there isnt any built in feature for that in the Note 8.
if you search about there should be some threads on workarounds to apply the live wallpaper on the MIUI lock screen too afaik.

A partner and i have been working on a simple clock widget themed off the one in android 3.0.....there is a lite version for free and a paid version for $0.99 that allows you to choose from 16 different colors...please support us and download it
I am hoping that we update soon. I know that currently this app has rather poor ratings and is being trumped by a similar one like it, due to the other one being more functional. However, the new update will include completely redesigned graphics, which I must note will be an exact replica of what is currently on Honeycomb (i.e all, not some, of the rings will rotate, and all will rotate with the correct increment of time corresponding)...the only issue right now is getting the clock to open the alarm app, I have the correct code if only i knew how to implement it correctly, and I dont really want to ask my partner due to the fact that usually he is busy.
Anyway, check out the attached pics of the preview for version 2 at the bottom....just a note, the graphics do look as bad as the pictures, obviously the quality on the pics ahas been compressed in the attatchements
https://market.android.com/details?id=honeycomb.clocks.lite&feature=search_result
https://market.android.com/details?id=honeycomb.clocks&feature=search_result
-just a side note, for those that love tron, you will love out widget
Update Pending
Thanks for the info. Looks great.
Hey I just bought the pro version
Question - where can I find the slanted dockbar you show in the demo pics?
Cheers.

He just placed a few app shortcuts to the homescreen and lined them up like that.
Clever; I must have put in every imaginable search term for slanted dockbar - thanks for the feedback - I'll have to play with it later..
Is there anything else you guys would like to see in the app?...i want to do an update with transparent backgrounds, but my partner and i are hesitant to, as it would be an overload of widgets, it would just be a long list of Honeycomb Clock, Honeycomb Clock transparent (no black) and so on
It would help alot to do an update if someone would please tell us how to package them together like the HTC clocks or the beautiful widgets
also can somebody please tell us how to get this to work with other alarm clock apps when you click on it, besides the stock android alarm clock app
thank u very much
can u please post the wallpaper u used in the demo pics?

HELP THIS MAN!! Because a transparent background would make this clock complete. Lol
I have one question. TBH how does these lines works? They're showing seconds, minutes or what? those color line ofcourse.
Alright so to my understanding Xiaomi is really limiting its users and to a certain extent, it feels communistic.
Everyone gets the same themes, little to no customization options and you're stuck with that unless you unlock and flash a custom ROM.
And I don't want to do that since I bought my phone 2 months ago and I have 2 years of warranty.
I'd like to be able to set live wallpapers in the lock screen - I'm talking about live wallpapers downloaded from the google play store or other third party live wallpapers.
However, it seems like Xiaomi has patched every single method that I've found online so far.
Is there any possible way to use live wallpapers on MIUI without unlocking my bootloader / flashing a rom.
I'm not very experienced in the Android sphere. I know basic stuff - but I was thinking - maybe its possible somehow to give an app (wallpaper changer) permissions over adb to change the live wallpaper on the lock screen? Can anyone guide me if that's possible?
Thank you for all your help in advance.
Here's some extra info:
Device: Xiaomi Mi 8 (Dipper) 6RAM 128ROM - Global version, locked bootloader
MIUI version: 10.1.2.0 (PEAMIFI)
Android version: 9PKQ1.180729.001

You can't have live wallpaper on any Miui, only the some from its own theme store, but nothing from play store, sucks right ?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=41&v=jU0iZSQcXQM , or maybe things changed
Set Rhodium theme with live wallpaper, then you can use any live walls frop play market =]
Hi,
i have a mi8 on miui10 and i have install a live wallpaper of playstore with no problem.

Envoyé de mon MI 8 en utilisant Tapatalk
for all want black themes for emui9 i found one working good and themes all items

and search for samsung one ui dark download it and apply it from the theme manager
it works very well
Unfortunatelly not. Try to get to any settings that requires second level user interaction (e.g. the fast mode choice when you connect the USB cable, or the choice whether the wallpaper applies to homescreen or lockscreen or both, and many others). You see the white text on white background in many cases. Quite anoying for regular usage in many situation.

Is there any way to make those changes in HV10. Every theme that I have tried has the same white on white pop up. Couldn't find code to edit it.. If any one knows how or where to find that option to make change please advise.
I found BLACK EMUI theme here:
https://theme.page.link/GAcELqio2oPMVZMT8
It looks very good for now. All is visible, no white text on white background. The only thing I didn't like is the font style, but you can change it manually.
After the 178 update, all the dark themes are working fine with white text on black background. Honor solved it.
I use Huawei Themes from google store, it's free. Thru it you can dl Porshe Style Dark theme which is compatible with Emui9 and it works perfectly for me.
I know I can't be the only one who can't read some notifications in direct sunlight now that the Pie / One UI update has "gifted" us with colored notification icons on the Always On Display (AOD). This article here shows the comparison I'm talking about, under the date on this AOD screen:
https://www.sammobile.com/2018/10/18/always-on-display-android-pie-update-samsung
The first picture has the MUCH easier to read white icons and the second has the awful colored ones. I use The Weather Channel app to see current temperature on the notification bar, and it switches between blue and red depending on the temp. It is a small number by design and when it is in color, it is HARD to read when there is any sort of ambient light around, IMPOSSIBLE to read when sunlight hits the screen!
I cannot find a single theme or setting on the phone to change those from colored icons to white. There are themes that show white icons but when loaded, Samsung's One UI takes over and colors them. I see the setting to change the color for the clock, and that too is not what I'm looking for. The color and date are both in white on the AMOLED black screen, I don't need colored notification icons, this should NOT be this difficult to figure out how to do! I'm using current version on my AT&T Note 9, no root. Thanks in advance if you can shed any light!
Same problem here...couldn't find a solution yet! Let me know if you get one, thanks!
I second this. I want simple B&W AOD like it was at the beginning. The coloured icons on AOD is a very bad idea.
Is there anyway to downgrade AOD app or apply a patch?
Please take a look at the attached pic - this looks awful, very cheap.
Thanks.
Also trying to find a solution to this...on the S10 it's even worse because there is no notification LED. And now the AOD icons are barely visible !
Since yesterday, i'm on CSDJ maisecurity Patch. But i dont have colored Icons on my AoD ? Also have no settings to activate or deactivate colored Icons. May Icons are grey/white like back in Oreo. So i ask myself, is this function maybe limited to specific devices ? Or are you guys on a higher Buildstring then CSDJ ?
*Edit* My (ex) Note 8 has this colored Icons too. But not for my Note 9.

I'm on CSE1 May 1st security patch, which (correct me if I'm wrong) is after CSDJ based on alphabetical order, and still have colored icons. Not sure the patch or software version made the difference, something else must have!

I'm on Galaxy S10 and the April update. I haven't update anything now since I'm traveling, will update on Friday when I get home. However a few days ago I update some apps and now my AOD icons are dark gray for some reason... Can't really see what it is and I have 20/20 sigh. Let's hope for a resolution to this.

Yes your String is higher than in my DBT. Maybe this is the reason why i have no colored Icons. Anyway this Build is absolute bad. Laggy performance on the whole Device. Rolling back on CSDE >.<
I disabled AOD becaus of this. It's stupidy that we can't customize it
Same here. So annoying! Basically Samsung support answered my question saying that for now you cannot change the color. Wouldn't hold my breath though.
Hi everyone! I have Android 12 with the latest version (C.41) and the problem was already there with the old version of Android 12. I have installed a custom icon pack and the icons present in the AOD are sometimes not fully displayed but it shows only one corner of the icon, as if they were cut to 1/4. With stock icons, on the other hand, no problem. Anyone experiencing the same bug? Of course I also tried other icon packs.
Hey there. Yep, it's not just you! When I wrote to Oppo (Japan, where I am) about this, they seemed perplexed and not familiar with the issue. Anyway, it can be "fixed"... by reverting to default icons. Seems that pretty much any custom pack will do what you are saying (and, you may notice: not all the time, right? Kind of random. SOmetimes, your custom icons wil show, sometimes you get the 1/4 weirdness).
IF you are using a launcher like Nova, changing the AOD back to default only changes those icons - Nova wil keep your custom icons elsewhere the way you want them.
As an aside, would be nice for Oppo to make those AOD icons a tad bigger so we can glance and easily see them when the phone is sitting on a desk etc.
