I don't know if this is a new "feature" but I hate it. I listen to spotify all day at work and I don't like having my phone on vibrate when it's on my desk. Every other phone I have used would route notifications through the headset when it's plugged in but on the One it always plays through the speakers. I don't want my ringer on at work and now I am forced to keep it on silent so I'm missing texts unless I keep checking my phone.
Ppl have recommended soundabout from the play store and it has worked on other phones but it doesn't work for the One. Any advice?

Thanks. I'm on AR8.0 but I have had the problem on every Rom/kernel I've tried. Can't remember if it worked on stock. Anyone else?

Any way we can make spotify think our HTC one phone is a tablet ? So we cab benifit from my their new policy with tablets being able to listen to any song you want instead if smartphones can inky shuffle playlist and not choose individually . Either way I'm very happy they did this as I can just take my tablet to work ! And have all the music I want but I know there is got to be something we can change in build prop or app that makes it think it's a tablet and we get even more free spotify on the go
I know there has to be a way into tricking the app your phone its a tablet

Your best bet is to try fooling around with DPI settings, use the App Settings Xposed module for that.
On my Asus Padfone2 (a 2in1 phone and tablet) spotify starts with restrictions when I start the app on my phone.
When starting the app in tablet mode it acts like tablet version.
One funny thing is if I start the Spotify app in tablet mode and set the ASUS setting "dynamic display" for the Spotify app and then take the phone out of the tablet - and now is in phone mode - the Spotify app is still running without restrictions. So its only at system start up on the Spotify application it does the check we all are trying to find..
Please let me know if there are some tweaks you would like me to try on my device...

I've tried everything to do with dpi for play store play services to make play store think my phone is a tablet spotify is even in tablet interface but still doesn't let me pick any song I want must have to do with phone identity or maybe radio I will try tablet mode with airplane mode on and WiFi on and see if that tricks it

Me too
I have an Android tablet and smartphone like many others here and would like to be able to use Spotify without Shuffle Play on my phone.
There most be some bright spark out there that can circumvent Spotify;s method of determining that it is running on a smartphone as opposed to a tablet !
Come on guys - there must be a way...

Same here, I'm on a xiaomi mi2s with miui and changed the DPI but still only shuffle... I even changed the permissions so it can't ask for the phone id and telephone status but no chance... Hope someone finds a solution soon!

Ok just found the perfect solution! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2596603
I ended up staying with the premium version, in fairness for €9.99 a month it's good value.

Sorry for un-dig this post, but spotify checks the device name on the build.prop, and then verifies that against its own database to see if its a device with more or less than 7".
That simple.
Xposed and tabletmetrics

When i click on notifications in the settings or development options, the app crashes. Does anyone else have this problem or know a fix?
I'm on 2.0.12
Are you on the official update or were you using the beta first?

Can't help, I'm using Notifications Center. But mine is not failing. I went from b11 to official through Google Playstore.
Yeah Idk. Uninstall and reinstall. That's the only suggestion I have.

How are people finding it?
I went from Beta 10 (bought my watch the day it came out)
-it was crap, buggy, slow, the app store made my phone hot and chewed the battery.
to Beta 7 (the release prior to "app store")
-no app store. instant responses. worked pretty well
to Beta 11
-still a bit slow, but the Pebble app behaved and battery use was okay. App store worked better (could scroll back and forth between watch faces)
to Official
-barely tested before an update came out
to Official.. (update 1?)
-is okay.. not as fast as Beta 7 still.
-Phone has started crashing.
-Powered off at 3am the other day (GSAM graph and Sleep as Android had data until then)
-Froze on the app store this morning. Then crashed.
..not sure whether I'll try uninstalling everything or perhaps flashing a new ROM.
Incidentally, I have a mate who won't move off of Beta 7
Official got an update today. Working very well so far
I changed my rom and it seemed to have fixed the problem I was having earlier.

After I received my Pebble, the firmware was updated to the latest version 2. I had been using with my Note 3 on stock KitKat and found that almost half the time, it will lose the bluetooth connection. Has anyone using Note 3 encounter this issue?
Today I got very frustrated with it and tried factory reset of the Pebble but still has same issue. I even tried Pebblebits but the issue remains.
I tried to flash the beta 9, 10, and 11 but didn't manage to flash. Is there anyway to go back to the last most updated version 1 firmware? The only reason I want to do that is to find out if my issue is Pebble or rom very issue.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
V2.0.2 firmware updated on my Pebble. Hopefully the bluetooth issue I had will be resolved.
Edit:
Did factory reset on my Pebble a few times but still cannot solve the problem.
Next, suspected that Notification Center seems to cause the BT disconnection, so I removed it. Tried other free notification apps but still had problem with BT disconnection.
Decided to purchase YaNC PRO and unfortunately still had BT disconnection.
The last straw was to reboot my Note 3.
Looks like the BT disconnection is gone. Notifications are also coming in now. Hopefully this situation continues.
Edit:
It's slightly improved but at times, I still face BT disconnections, ie notifications not sending to my Pebble even when the notification bar shows the Pebble is connected.
Of anyone has any suggestions, please share with me. Thank you.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
I have a disconnection too. But this is a data type connection. If I have weather on the watch it wont update, when I do a manual update on the watch it says disconnected. The way to get it back is to reboot the phone, or go to the support tab, have it check for a update, and let it force close, then its OK for a while. I'm currently use Kitkat (Custom ROM),unfortunately I had to remove weather from my watch.

Yeah, I can't access it, either from the app or the site. Seems to be down at the moment.

Thanks dude!
I was worried because I just bought this Pebble and I thought mine was a faulty unit.
I"m using Pebble with my Galaxy S3 (rooted stock ROM) and I had several times problem with random disconnection and reconnection of BT connection with Pebbles.
Always solved by default reset of Pebble + removing / installation of Pebble application.
Hope that it will help sb who have same problem...
Wondered if anyone else has problems getting some of the tasked stuff to work with lolipop. I personally can't get secure settings plugin to work now with the pattern lock disable and re enable. any ideas?
Same issue. It'll "fix" itself to the correct seeing after a reboot. Haven't worked on it to figure out why though.

I appreciate it but I think I will wait on a legit fix from the devs. I guess that's the price you pay when you have the newest of the new.

No worries. It seems like the device admin isn't sticking (as mentioned in one of the links) When I toggle it then it toggles the pin. Until it's officially fixed I've resorted to using location trusted places (hope they do a Wi-Fi trusted location soon).

I actually removed some of the deeper system level tasks I've been using with securesettings in the past on my N6. I assumed many of them wouldn't work with the new OS and didn't feel like mucking around with them. If possible, the devs will figure it out eventually.
Thread revival!
Hey guys, I'm looking into buying a Nexus 6 and I was wondering if all of the tasker problems have been resolved by now?

Awesome. Thanks for the quick reply!
Anybody know why Tasker can't turn on WIFI tether through either the system or secure settings? I've tried this now on three different ROMs.
So I found a workaround---- visit the Tasker Groups at this post here.
After updating to NPD35K, my Android smartwatch does not receive any notifications from my phone, regardless of notifications being enabled and no apps blocked from sending notifications in the Android wear app.
I've also tried several different versions of the Android wear app, with no change .
Has anyone has similar issues, or have any insight into a possible fix?
Thank you.

Which watch do you have? You may need to go into watch settings, unpair with phone and that resets the watch. Then set it up through Android Wear app again. Hope that helps.
Casio WSD-F10. I've tried factory reset and unpair a couple times with no luck . It was working flawlessly with the previous version of N preview.

I'm at a loss. I know the Wear app had a market update a few days ago. If you've already tried the reset, uninstall and reinstall the phone Wear app over a clean ROM flash, I don't know what you could try next. Me personally, I'd downgrade til N was out of beta or verified working with my watch. I've gotten to where it's a necessity to have my watch on. Good luck. If I come across anything, I'll post it here.
Thanks. Yea, it's kind of frustrating not being able to use it with N now, especially since just last week it worked perfectly fine.

Go back to M, why flash to a developer preview and then complain when things don't work? ITS A DEVELOPER PREVIEW!
Not here to complain, but if I find an issue why not ask if anyone else had the same problem, and a possible solution?

Does anyone know if the Android wear version on the phone and smartwatch need to be the same? Or are they independent of each other?

I have same Problem, using N few days and everything was working fine, today I didn't get any notification on my motto 360, only when somebody calls. Weird...

Exact same here. Only call notifications but if I do the test notifications in the Android wear app, they work
