I play Asphalt 9 for 1-2 hours daily... Never seen as much heat...

55C CPU, I think it's normal in gaming.

Heat

I was wondering why the Mi Note Pro is overheating every time I use YouTube? It heats more than any other usage. Strange...
Anyone could explain?

Battery max temp. 45°C and CPU max temp. 75°C

My phone is heating even with the normal usage but while playing games like asphalt 8 or modern combat 5 it is heating upto 75°C
Is it normal or I have got a defective piece again.
My max. Battery temp. Is 45°C
Max. CPU temp. Is 75°C
The earlier device I got was also heating so I replaced it and now this one is also heating the same...

Plzzzzz help it's urgent...
The only time when mine is heating up is when it's placed in direct sunlight for a longer period of time.

I haven't had any heating issues so far, sometimes the top gets slightly warm but not so hot that you can't hold it
Bro... Which Is that CPU temperature measuring app? Coz .. I don't think that Zuk Z1 has temp sensor for CPU.... It only has a temp sensor for batt. just like any other phone in this price range (India)

Unhappy with Mi 9 battery draining and SOT, thinking about changing for mate 20 ...

Hi all.
I have written a comment to another created threat in mi 9 forum, but I would like to read your comments here too.
I'm having battery draining and SOT problems with my mi 9, like I said in title (like most people I think).
I have tried everything to improve my battery life in my mi 9, and It's not bad at all, but I was expecting better performance for a top xiaomi smartphone with sd 855 and 5 months old in spite of the fact that it has "only" 3300mah battery ...
I'm not a heavy user and I try to get max SOT and minimum battery drain in all my phones, because I don't like changing smartphones very often and I like to take care of it.
I came from a Moto G4 plus, and I had 5h of SOT in 48h without high standby drainage (maybe 1-2% of drainage overnight in 7-9h) with a 3 years old battery and worst hardware and software. In mi 9, I'm getting 5-6h of SOT in 48-72h. Not bad at all, but standby drainage is awfull. It loses 20-25% of the battery every 48h (3-5% overnight), and in a smartphone with such a fair battery it's a problem. If I'm not getting great results with not heavy use and my smartphone is new, I don't want to think in 2-3 years + mid-heavy use ... I have tried everything (full wipes, reinstalling, the most powerfull battery saving, etc) and I don't have great result. Standby drainage is very hight compared to other phones (I have tried a friend poco f1 and I had 10h in 48-72h with 1% overnight drainage. It was awsome).
And now the question ...
I'm thinking of changing my mi 9 for a huawei mate 20... I still have the 30d Amazon refund and I am not comfortable with my phone's battery.
- Mate 20 pros vs mi 9: +700 mah battery and more efficient, the best ips panel without burn-in problem, and fingerprint sensor behind the screen (no like too much in-screen fingerprint at all).
- Pros mi 9 vs mate 20: sd 855 (but geekbech it's very very similar, and antutu winner is mi 9 only for gamming but mate 20 still on top), unlocking bootloader for mi 9 (better comunity in xda, but if emui works well I think I don't need custom rooms, the problem here is Trump/google vs China ... but now apeares to be solved and we would have newer updates to Android Q), wireless charging (I don't use it because smartphone is hotter when charging 3-5º vs cable+1,5a charger, It takes more time to charge with elevated temperature), not jack (better for waterproof), maybe very little better cameras in mi 9 and little better results, 4 months younger (very little difference) and It's the top phone on xiaomi (mate 20 is the little brother because we have mate 20 pro, 20x, p30, p30 pro and we will have soon mate 20 and mate 20 pro; and that could be worst because we will get latter uptdates in mate 20).
What do you think? Would you change mi 9 for mate 20? Reading your comments. Greetings.
If your looking for better battery life I'd say get the mate 20. I've had mine for just under 3 months. Best damn purchase I've ever made (purchased way below retail during trump ban). I consider myself a medium to heavy user (I don't play mobile games however). With some useless features turned off and some fetch services disabled. I can easily get 8-10 hrs on screen time with this phone, it's the best battery life I've ever had, prior I was getting 4hrs with another Android phone.

Heat? I haven't had any issues with heat if by that you mean does the phone get too hot to touch, it's cool the majority of the time. As for performance, EMUI 9.1 is very smooth and I haven't had any slow downs ??.

Just a month ago I had Poco F1. On the battery Sot was similar to the 20 mate. Night drainage in Poco 1-3%, mate 2-5%. Mate saves better on screen on. Performance similar to Poco. If I had to exchange Mi9, it was on mi9t Pro.

Mi 9 T Pro with overheating

By setting up the pubg with maximum graphics the device is warming up to almost 70 degrees celsius, it gets very hot on top of the rear cameras, even more on the right side of the headphone jack in the case and on the screen glass if you touch the lips on the screen glass realize that it is very hot.

Device is not heating up to 70°C, CPU does. Device is heating to temperature just a little bit higher than battery temperature which is on your screenshot 42°C. Those temperatures are normal when you put powerful chipset like sd855 on high stress for longer period of time.

Return it to seller.
Can anyone with the device take a test?
CPU does touch 65+ in HDR+60fps for me but as long as battery temps are <44 everything is good!
Do remember to take off any case/cover while gaming & not playing while charging too.

The point is that the CPU is over 70C °, the rear camera, housing and screen next to the headset are very hot, I feel it in my hand and fingers, it bothers you a lot, high temperatures can burn the screen.
My Mi 9 is no more than 60C °.

I told you that heating so fast is not normal. You have faulty device and return it to seller. You can use google or youtube and you'll see that no one get that temperatures so fast like you do. Here is example: https://youtu.be/C9jSZ4JR0qo?t=1

First of all he is measuring wrong with inexpensive and inaccurate equipment that is not even for checking the temperature of a human being. There is a right place to measure the temperature and not the way it is doing, I did the correct tests and this device has a low quality screen and a poorly positioned graphite heatsink.

I just choose that youtube video randomly, you can ignore it if you don't trust it but you have 1000 other Mi 9T Pro/K20 Pro reviews and youtube videos where you can see that this devise doesn't overheat fast like you say. You wrote: "Just over 1 minute the device reaches this temperature leaving the screen very hot" and I'm telling you that this is not normal and that your device is faulty and for the third time I'm writing you to return it to seller. This is the end of this stupid discussion for me and I won't comment on it anymore. You could use google in the first place to see how this device reacts under stress and you could see that this device doesn't have the best cooling but it also doesn't have the worst. Bye.
guys ... if you can`t keep it civil then you better stop here if you don`t want to have one more problem apart from the one with your device

Hello. I bought this device and is too hot in idle or social networks Use.... Not on gaming (saint seiya awakening) or full charge situations. I think I should change the unit.
In this moment, the cpu is 42°C. And I am not using nothing. Just posting this vía Chrome.
No overheating for me
I don't know how hot it is in your countries, but at idle, my phone is always on 39°C/40°C (ambient temperature at 27°C-32°C), when I'm playing CoD mobile at max settings it barely reaches 50°C. I think it's fine considering that it's an intensive game.
Same issue with my device
Using k20 pro for last 5 months and now when I connect it to charger cpu temperature is going upto 65 to 70 deg. The battery temp is 37 to 45 . Only this happens when charger connected. Using original charger and cables and Xiaomi powerbank. Tried with changing cables and charger still same issue .
K20 pro getting heated while using camera
I have a major problem which i have never ever faced in any other device .
While using CAMERA , my device gets heated in 10-15 minutes and due to this increased temperature of device its very hard to use it.
A pop up message shows - " your device is over heated " and the camera gets closed automatically.
