Galaxy Note 9 N960F/DS Change CSC with Odin only (non root) - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi All,
I got one device N960F/DS (Note 9) which i do not like the original CSC (Singtel @ SIN) so I manage to change to XME (Malaysia) with guide from this forum and combination of others. I will share steps as below;
1) Follow this post to get your target CSC software flash (XME for me as an example)
2) After flash do not start migrate data as you will need another round of reset device by changing the CSC using phone dialler which is *#272*IMEI number# (Your primary IMEI number).
Done.

I have Note 9 with [XSG] United Arab Emirates csc, if i changed csc to BTU, will i get ota updates.

Firmware change from Branded to Unbranded

Hey guys,
i've got the G800F branded by T-Mobile.
PDA G800FXXU1ANL2
CSC G800FDTM1ANL1
I would like to flash the unbranded DBT version.
PDA G800FXXU1ANL1
CSC G800FDBT1ANJ1
since i dont want to trip the knox counter i've read that flashing the same firmware wont trigger it. the last letter in the PDA / CSC code is for the version right? since the last letter in the CSC from the DBT version is "J" which is before the "L" would flashing the DBT version trigger my knox?
greetings and thx

You won't trip the knox since it is stock Don't worry about anything. Just flash it via odin in PDA/AP section and don't forget to wipe data and cache after installing

[Q] doubt on CSC

Hi, I bought a note 9 960f ds note with OXM_XME csc (Malaysia). So the firmware is multi CSC. I have updated the firmware without deleting data with October update and firmware multi-csc but based on ITV in order to change csc from XME to ITV. Now in Telephone software manager section appears XME/ITV, XME/XME. Is there a way to make it completely ITV? If I can not do it, can I have problems?
Thanks to All.

What did I do wrong trying to change my CSC?

I received my international version of the N960F/DS. It had XEU firmware. I tried to install BTU firmware via Odin using a SamFirm BTU download and a UK Giffgaff SIM and selecting CSC, not Home_CSC. I still ended up with XEU.
1st question - am I likely to get Pie and other updates more quickly on BTU than XEU?
2nd question - how do I change from XEU to BTU? I think I saw that on previous Galaxies maybe you had to install a firmware not on the OXM multi CSC and then install BTU afterwards. Is that what I should have done? If so, what CSC do you suggest?
3rd question - should I just leave it alone?
TIA.

Use search instead of creating topics saves space
simply flash desired firmware wont work, you will need to flash combination file first before that.
follow above comment will work

you flash the stockfirmware of an ireland carrier. figure out the CSC code for a provider of that region you want.( you might try DBT if u dont come up with one)
use samfirm tool 0.3.6(check app logs for any missing dependancies) and download the firmware file using these settings:
phone model: SM-N960F
csc: the 3 letter code of the carrier you want.
use odin 3.13.1 to flash the produce of the extracted file above once finished downloading.( fill in the slots: BL,AP,CP,CSC (for csc use csc.md5 not home_csc...)
you can search for how toos in any of the 2 procedures above.
data might be wiped so beware.

Change CSC on S10 (BTU to TPH) is possible?

Hi, I need your help on this question I have. I bought the second hand S10 from UK and I live in Portugal. I would like to change the CSC: btu / btu, btu / btu to TPH / TPH which is the Portuguese version. Already flashed with Odin the TPH version but in the end always appears BTU / BTU in the device information. Does anyone have any idea how to change the CSC?
The command *#1234# shows the CSC is loaded, but the phone software still shows the CSC as BUT/BTU,BTU/BTU ann i want to change to TPH. The *#272*IMEI number#* command dont do nothing in my phone. Strange
Yes. You will need to use Samkey.
