Mine seems to be improved, had drain from December patch but now it seems to be gone, but it's just been one day now...

Why do people feel the need to post a screen shot of the update notification? If you got the update.. well ok I believe you. /pet peeve

Updated yesterday. Seems to be fine so far. One possible issue. I noticed that "Chat Features" is and has been stuck in "Connecting...." status since the update yesterday. RCS/Chat was "Connected" and working fine prior to the update. Pixel 4 XL (Google Store Unlocked) on Verizon. Anyone else having RCS issues post-update? Or am I just lucky....I did some searching on XDA and Reddit and don't see any mentions of RCS issues related to the Jan 2020 update....

Anyone else having issues with face unlock? After the january update i got a notification saying i need to rescan my face to use face unlock. I did that and after that I am just receiving the error: Cant verify face. Try again.
Any idea what is causing this?

I've never been able to get it working on a Pixel 4 with Verizon. I don't think they want us to use it.

After several attempts, mine finally connected. Not sure what the problem was, but it's working now.

So did you have to disable/enable Chat Features to get it to finally connect?

After the January update, I no longer have call screening (automatic or otherwise). Not sure if related to being a GSuite user or not. Ugh...

Update - I got mine working as well. In my case, I Force Stopped and Cleared Storage on Carrier Services...and that forced re-enrollment in Chat Features/RCS and it connected perfectly after that.

Then it must be that I have dual sim w/ Fi as eSim because I can't get the stupid thing to connect when on Verizon data. If I switch it to Fi it works fine but as soon as I change data to Verizon it goes kaput (chat features unavailable for this device... ) Oh well, one of these days maybe it will pop up.

I checked and also no longer have the call screening options. I have no gsuite account. Tried wiping phone app cache, downgrading and re upgrading the phone app. No luck. This is a bummer.

What I've found is that of I leave the Phone app beta, downgrade, join beta, upgrade... I get screening back... for a time, then seemingly randomly it becomes necessary to repeat.
Major bummer.

FWIW, I have the January update but still have the screening settings available. Did you guys lose settings or you just don't see the option when a call comes in?

I am really wanting the Smart Lock Trusted Locations feature it brings...since Lollipop broke Delayed Lock.

That is the only reason i want this apk bad! Not having to input my pin/password at home and at my job seems really convenient.
I installed 6.5.85 nnnnn-438
It was updated (by Google) to 6.5.87 nnnnn-430.
I'm unaware of any issues and location unlock is working however it is the case that it doesn't work with lock enable/disable features of Elixer 2 or Power Toggles.
I had -438 installed before and trusted places worked without issues. However, I had poor battery life (mobile radio active), so keep that in mind.

Yes, I read that and decided to try an L version with the closest DPI -- x38.
I had no problems running 85...-438, but as I said *Google* updated it to 87...-430 which apkmirror says is universal (and I still don't have any problems, that I know of).

I installed the 5.85...-438 apk in what I assumed was the standard fashion. After the 5.87...-430 update there's no option to go back.
Maybe someone will upload the 1.88...-730 version to apkmirror.
If you revoke GPS administrator privileges it will allow you to roll back.
I wonder if anyone on the Nexus 6 has received -730? It's been almost a week since the rollout - kind of shocked I don't have it yet AND there is no APK available...

No, that is what I mean. Uncheck that box and it should let you roll back.
I finally got mine today and it looks like it came with 6.5.87. I've been getting some odd battery drain and I'm trying to pin point where it's coming from . maybe this could be it?

Google pushed 6.5.87 (1599771-430) to my phone. This was also reported by a N6 owner on reddit.
The numbering scheme on apkmirror says -430 is a Nexus 6 with a non-dpi specific resolution. Do you have some reason to suspect Google pushed the wrong apk to my phone?

Fresh ROM install is properly 'crisp'. Give it a few days, and that will, most likely, settle in. At least you know it went well, and that nothing you have is conflicting. Welcome to your piece of the Pie!

After a couple of reboots, the animations definitely seem smoother. Other than that it feels about the same as Oreo. Minor changes, but better than nothing.
One thing that is fixed for me at least, is the location coming on even after I turned it off. Before the update the location was basically on all the time.

Do you remember how big the update was? I had put my phone on the charger for the night and it woke up the screen that a download was available. When I clicked install, it rebooted and hung for a while on the AT&T logo. It finally booted up and the software info is correct. It must have downloaded the actual update in the background. Oh well, maybe a few bug fixes, but so far I can't tell any difference. Almost seemed like a security update.

I'm surprised you don't notice any difference. It's not revolutionary or anything but it's there. Try using this: 1dot1dot1dot1.cloudflare-dns.com as your private DNS.

Next is the Unlocked US version I hope. I'm going to see if I can keep my unlocked bootloader when I flash over to it.
Another observation: I used to have issues with WiFi calling dropping in and out in certain areas of my house. I used to think it was coverage but I have 3 Google WiFi pucks in a 3800sqft house. After this update though it hasn't dropped once. And since my location issue is fixed my battery life is back to normal. 61% left with a 2:30 hours of sot

WIFI scanning for foreground apps is crippled in PIE. 30 seconds between scans and no option to whitelist WIFI scanner apps.
Battery life is greatly improved for me (25% longer lasting so far) but auto-brightness does seem to be quite a bit more aggressive. Phone feels much snappier, too. Camera responses, especially when zooming/toggling between lenses seems improved.
This could be an AT&T app I haven't disabled or something else completely, but since the update I no longer receive any notifications when my phone is connected to my car's bluetooth. I get what looks like enhanced Android Auto experience (again, could be just update to AA app) when using Native Android Auto in my Civic. Notifications [I do get these when phone is plugged into car/AA is active] and navigation in general are much snappier and appear in a more crisp and desirable manner.
The only issue I have with it so far is that I no longer get notifications while I'm in my car (again, maybe unrelated to the Pie update). Otherwise it is behaving almost like a new phone again like it did back in October, or maybe even a little faster.

I still haven't got the update to LG v40. is there a way that I can download the pie for att since its the same variant model number as the sprint one, just in case everyone didn't know the sprint and att lg v40 is the same model number, so I was wondering if I can somehow download the v40 att pie update and flash it on the stock browser or sideload it. either way, anyone have the download to manually do it?

Didn't work I'm actually replying on my cousins phone. Yea didn't work so now I'm side loading it's zip as we speak. I don't get it why would TMobile do this?
Seeing the same thing on my end. App just doesn't work.
uummmm i got my tmobile pixel 4 even before i received it i contacted twitter support gave them the imei to whitelist it for unlock, got the phone when to the app connected to wifi press unlock and wala when to dev option and oem unlock now i am rooted with bootloader unlocked
Contact T-Mobile via Twitter DM, they're a lot easier to work with. They were able to get my 6T SIM unlocked so I could unlock the bootloader even though it's not paid off yet.
Well today I received my 7th Google Pixel 4XL from TMO. I'm not getting into how i got (7) but TMOHelp finally gave me the OK to Carrier Unlock my device. After about a 5-10 minute wait, i was given the go ahead to Permanently UNLOCK my Pixel and it work! OEM Unlock is NO LONGER Greyed-Out. A couple points I would like to make :
-Device was delivered TODAY (2/11) and Unlocked TODAY ((2/11) NOT (40) Days old as Policy states.
-Device was NOT PAID OFF in full (Device discounted $423 to match competitors pricing)
-Account IS in Good Standing
-I have NOT made 1 payment towards device.
-Obviously device has NOT been reported Stolen, Lost, etc.

Bought a T-Mobile Pixel 4 XL during the sale. Brand new customer, phones leased and not paid off.
I was able to get the T-Mobile Twitter people to enable dual SIM for me and switch my T-Mobile SIM to an eSIM and then whitelist my IMEI so I could run the T-Mobile unlock app. Now I'm fully SIM unlocked and I've also enabled OEM Bootloader Unlocking in Dev mode.
Later this week when I have time I'm going to at a minium get TWRP and Magik on there for ROOT. Smooth enough that I'm not ready for custom ROMs yet.
TWRP isn't available yet, the developer is doing real life and it turns out it's taking up a lot of his time.

What has replaced it?
There is no replacement. People are rooting by patching the boot with Magisk, you'll also find some other changes in the world brought on by Android 10, (for example) no easy editing of the build.prop. You'll need to read up on procedures and you come across the various changes going on in Android while doing that bit of housekeeping.
Reminds me of when I first got my Nexus 6!

Haha... Yes it's possible. But generally if somebody touches my fingers/hands during sleep I'd notice it. Being asleep without anybody even touching you and getting in your phone is definitely not ideal. I use lockdown mode if really needed, but looking forward to the fix.

Yeah I'd say so. Mobile data keeps going to 3G and sometimes drops completely, coming from a Pixel 3a XL that gave me no issues this is pretty weird (and disappointing if it's because of the November update)

Yeah sounds the same. You can even see the 3G for me too in my earlier screenshot. Data was just fine out of the box and with my Pixel 2 XL.

I guess everyone has their own security risks
I hope this actually is true and the december update fixes the BT mic issues.
https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/18116513?hl=en
google actually stated in an email it would all be released dec 5,
but they also stated ALL device images would be up dec 5, without them even looking at their own site to see,
wow they are stupid

Haha... Yes it's possible. But generally if somebody touches my fingers/hands during sleep I'd notice it. Being asleep without anybody even touching you and getting in your phone is definitely not ideal. I use lockdown mode if really needed, but looking forward to the fix.

If you're in danger of someone sneaking in when you're sleeping to unlock your phone you have better things to worry about than face Unlock
Just kidding I get that it's a flaw.

One UI 2.1

I haven't install One UI 2.1 on my N960N yet. I was just wondering how it fares compared to One UI 2.0? As the most of you know the issue I had was with the Secure Folder and updating Wechat via Google on it.

well don't know about 960N but on my 960F so far its almost same as 2.0. only few new feature updates and the new deep sleep feature. all apps works well. no issue with secure folder aswell. so far i don't feel any battery improvements tho! im thinking of during factory reset and do a fresh start to see if that improves anything.
I just update my N960N to the latest version of Android 10 with OneUI 2.1 and so far it seems to have fixed some of the issues I had with the first release of Android 10 for the Note 9. Not sure about the Secure Folder as I have yet to test that.

You would probably need to wait a few weeks for the AI to learn your habits before the battery performance improves
How are you guys getting this update? It doesn't appear to be available to me, yet. I'm on the USA T-mobile SM-N960U.
It has also not arrived on my N960F here in Bulgaria. Month is not over though so I'll just wait, no hurry.

N960U/U1/9600 is snapdragon model and probably 2.1 update will get in july or August
For now only Exynos models N960F/N960N are getting this update
My ( Xfinity Mobile) N960U got 2.1 this morning.
The first thing that I noticed was when I fired up Messages I was greeted with a dialog informing me about chat via text using Google's services.
Does that mean that Samsung is finally enabling RCS?

What's the build number? Might install it now since AT&T will be slow.

I didn't see your comment as I was typing my question.
Gonna try to get this on my AT&T 960U tonight. If you can get it on and running, drop a note in this thread?
Good luck.
Yes you should be able to use on At&t. I just checked Frija and Samfirm it's not on either

I can't get Frija to pull it up.... I'm entering the info exactly like your screenshot... Am I missing something? A setting that I needed to change?
I never heard of Frija, I just looked it up and installed it. It was no help. I'm guessing the update for my phone hasn't been released yet. I'm on the T-mobile USA variant. Frija gave me the version I already had, which doesn't include 2.1.
