I remember that when Pie came around, notification sounds only played through the Bluetooth headset if it was connected. Weirdly, I've accustomed myself to this behavior.
But with this device (coloros 6.1, EU, A.07), the notification sounds play through both the phone speaker and the Bluetooth headset.
Is this behavior expected? Or is there something off with my configuration?

when the USB headset is connected, I can't hear the notifications for pure radio related alarms like incoming emails/SMS, etc. anymore on the phone's speaker. only via the headset. as nobody wears the headset all the time, this is pretty nonsense. any nokia device is able to differ between sounds of the device (like music playback) and sound of the radio (email ringing, sms), that I want to hear, even if the headset is connected. with bluetooth headset, this works perfectly well. any tweaks there?
Try resetting (restarting).

Does this mean, it works differently on your Kaiser? Thought this is a general behaviour with all Kaiser devices that you can't change with just resetting?
I'm trying to find an app, widget, or whatever that will completely disable the speaker on my T-Mobile G2 if a headset or BT is active.
Currently, ringtones and notifications come through the headset AND the speaker at the same time, only media comes through just the headset. If a headset is plugged in or BT enabled, I think that the speaker should be OFF. (WinMo has always done this. -- I just discovered this "feature" about Android while trying to adjust some ringtones while on an airplane with my headset plugged in - very embarrassing...)
Any and all suggestions would be welcome.
I've looked at several volume control apps, but few seem to support this feature. I tried Advanced Audio Manager that does have profiles for headphone and BT, but they either don't work on my G2 or just disable ringtones completely.
Good day,
I have done a bit of searching on this topic and have not found an answer to a rather surprising issue.
I just got my GNote and have paired it with my Voyager Pro+ AD2P BT headset.
Much to my surprise even though calls and VLingo are routed to my BT headset I come to discover that event notifications are sent to BOTH the GNote's speaker AND my BT headset (with a slight delay\echo as a result).
This to me is not how it should be. All my other phones would totally mute the speaker and redirect ALL sounds to the connected headset automatically, whether it was WM, iPhone, whatever.
In my searches I see others have had the same issues with Android phones.
Am I missing something here?
Is this happening to other GNote owners, be it wired headsets or with BT headsets?
Is there an App that corrects this issue?
Is this a basic Android OS oversight?
I am shocked and can only imagine that I will have to remember to put myphone into silent mode each time I want to use my BT headset and not have notificationscome over the built in speaker. I have yet to try this as I fear it will also silence the notifications sent to my BT headset.
Curious to hear from others on this matter.
Thanks,
I recently purchased a Sony bluetooth PS3 headset which also pairs fine with my Note. Calls are working great but the headset doesn't support the streaming of any other sounds apparently.
There're a few apps (BTMono and Mono Bluetooth Router for example) that are supposed to 'fix' this issue but they don't work on my Note. I'm using Slimrom 4.2.2 build 8. I don't get any error messages from the apps, they seem to activate correctly but no audio is being played through the headset.
Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? I would just like to hear my gps navigation through my bluetooth because I have a very loud car and can't hear the nav when my phone is mounted on my dashboard.
Thanks in advance.
I've had a similar issue with a bluetooth headset at work - I imagine fixing this would involve diverting TTS/Music/whatever audio stream to the phone call audio stream. I've tried looking at Tasker, and frustratingly you can tell it to play a single file over the call stream, but can't set a perminant "divert notifications to call" or similar setting. Not as far as i can see.
Before the KitKat update, Moto X would automatically mute whatever audio was playing through my car stereo (non-bluetooth audio, CD, radio, ipod, etc) when I interacted with it. This included texts via Moto Assist, Google Maps nav instructions, or even speech with touchless control. This was one of the main features I loved about this phone.
Now since the update, my phone doesn't mute my car audio any longer. I've tried unpairing and re-pairing the phone with no luck. The muting works fine when playing music from my phone through the bluetooth media option in my car. But it used to also work with other audio from non-bluetooth sources as well. The "Phone Audio" and "Media Audio" settings are checked in the bluetooth pairing on my phone, and the "mute audio" setting is checked for bluetooth on my car. I know that Google introduced some new Bluetooth functionality with 4.4, so not sure what settings might have been changed.
Anyone else have this issue, or know of a fix? For what it's worth, the car is a 2013 Volvo S60.
No one had this issue?
