Oneplus 5 camera ?

So I was curious if it were possible to port the op5 camera app on the 3t ?? I'm assming it has a better hdr mode than the current 3t one ??

I was thinking same. It's too early to say, but I hope so.

I hope it lives up to the hype they created on the OnePlus 5 camera. If not they are going to take some lumps from reviewers and lose some credibility.

Maybe in the next beta

Here's the apk of the OP5 camera app. Can anybody port it to 3T? Currently it does not work because it is expecting a dual camera setup.

EDIT: I'm currently using apktool to decompile the apk and deactivate the second camera, but I don't know where to look for. Any ideas?

Op5 got two updates that focused on the camera so it apk might be changed, please update it

Pie magnification lens gone

After installing pie build 108, I noticed that Android finally installed a text selecting zoom lens like iOS. Very useful.
Now a week later, it's gone!!
Anyone have any idea how to get it back?
That was the only thing where I thought iOS was clearly better than Android.

It's a stock Android feature. So.. I fully expect Huawei to remove it

I think I will just bite the bullet and buy a pixel 3 xl. I really hate this phone.

The P20 Pro camera app works just as well. There is a variant for the Google camera app but it's nowhere near as fluid as the pro one.
I have no need for the Google one personally, besides the odd gallery blip, it's perfectly fine..

i'm getting tired of huawei cam app because its kinda broken ? huawei rly need to fix this software. Is there any good gcam mod for p20 pro ? or maybe some other alternatives ? (with no root need) i will test any proposition

Latest one by arnova works fairly well, you need to adjust some settings as mentioned above.

Night sight does not work, recording video does not work and HDR does not work at all, so very little reason to use the app over the stock camera app.

Hardly wont work, as Huawei give not 100% Access to our Hardware, its sadly restricted to get full potential. But if youre lucky to find a Version, let us know.

Question Will rooting my pixel 5a allow me to disable camera shutter sound?

You see, I got a pixel 5a that is imported from Japan and in Japan all phones Manufacturers must have shutter sound when taking pictures and you can't disable it.
If I will root my phone I will be able to disable it, right?

No. Only with root - no. It depends on device ID (US or JP). For p5 there is patch for TWRP that spoofs ID, but there is no TWRP for 5a.
May be with some magisk module but i can't find any.
Or you can use modded Gcam.

No need to root, just download APK of the google camera and use it instead of the one that come with the phone.
That's what I did eventually.

it is impossible to convert 5a sun of the Japanese version into the American version, the difference is in the bands, only use the gcam mod

Faced the same issue. Like other people said, removing it from the stock Gcam probably isn't an option. Just use a compatible Gcam mod, I recommend MWP GCam for latest supported version.
As a bonus, you can use Tasker to intercept the double power button gesture to launch the modded GCam instead of stock.

Several Android versions ago I used to use Root Explorer and delete the system sound for camera shutter, which worked at the time. Maybe worth exploring?

I remembered there was a thread in the Pixel 5 community. It provides a way to permanently alter the device model code to disable these Japan-only features. Maybe it works on Pixel 5a?
It may not be simple, but can permanently eliminate similar problems.

FYI.
Turn off shutter sound from pixel bought in japan
Due to pixel was not sold I was buying pixel 5 from japan. I thought if I flash a US ROM the shutter sound (japan shutter sound law) will go away but it seems like it is still going strong even after I used Cambodia sim. It was used outside japan...

could you please make the sound camera_click not empty, but with silence and not zero like it is now as it crashes some devices? Thank you! I can't attach the file here, but you can find silent 1sec ogg files online.
I can't make it work - Magisk doesn't allow me to unzip the file no idea why.

Question Can the Pixel 7 shoot full unbinned 50mp in any manner? maybe with mod

Was curious of anyone knew if the Pixel 7 can shoot unbinned full resolution in any way?
I have read that the main sensor in this is the same as the Pixel 7 Pro, which is the Samsung GN1, and that technically the hardware is capable of unbinned shooting, kind of like the Sony IMX586 or similar is capable.
Usually when there is a way to shoot unbinned with these kind of sensors it is done by way of first properly rooted device, then custom mod and installed via Magisk + the right GCAM port + maybe a custom XML file.
Just wondering of anyone figured out a way to do it the Pixel 7 main or even Pixel 7
