I have a Samsung unlocked Note 10+ US version which used to work fine with my car. I received Android 10 OTA update on 01/02/20. After that I am facing problems with Android Auto. When connecting to my card Ford Explorer -2017 with SYNC 3 it no longer lets me take calls on car speakers. Once I receive a call, I have to tell the other user to wait, convert to phone speakers to take call. This issues is also avoiding me to make calls. The sad part is it is random but frequent.
There is a whole thread in Google Android about this for more than a year spanning different cars, different phones and different countries but Google seems to not provide responses.
I am looking for help from experts here,
https://support.google.com/androidauto/thread/3540347?hl=en[/url]
Are you trying upgrade Android Auto on your phone to 5.0 version?
Today I have similar issues, when I upgrade app, problems gone.

Dear Developers,
In call mode speaker is on by default
I have this issue and quit sure it happens after the Latest 10.4.1.B.0.101 update, until this update my phone works really fine and smooth and now it is a serious issue because every time I get a call speaker is enabled and even if I disabled the speakers but it again automatically enabled during the call this happens regularly and it is really upset me, my girlfriends Xperia z phone has the same issue and it happens after the update, I need quick response from any of you to solve the issue, and I did clear that cash and data of the phone app as mentioned by Sony support form but issue is same, and I can't repair the phone via update services because it will delete my text messages/MMS from the phone, and as far I know It's like factory reset, need help on this
Also is there any other way to uninstall the least update without root or flash or repair via pc suit the device, or is there any other calling apps available for change the default value of this, I tried several calling apps available in the play store but all of them fail, really upset about this issue and looking for serious answer from Sony you
Also i posted a support request on Sony support form but i really surprises because no replies from Sony, or no fixes are available via updates, help me XDA experts because you all are the last available option to resolve this issue.
Here the Sony form link about this error:

Hi,
first i had no problem when i used my HTC One mini 2. But now everybody who calls me or when i call someone else the other one has an sizzling noise and sometimes they even do not hear anything from me. But i can here them.
Someone an idea why??
My phone also has the mic problem. Seems that dual mic in this phone is faulty.
I'm waiting for software update (which should have been in August-September). If it doesn't fix the issue, than I`ll return it to service.
I asked the telekom and they told me i need to go to an store of them. But i read in the internet, that this is not only a htc bug. It seams there are some more android 4.4.2 devices (from lg) that have the same problem. Is this an hardware problem (htc), android (google), or can this also be an app??
Hi there,
i've the same bug with my phone.
It startet with the last system update and it's a terrible thing. Almost every call has this background sound or the other side can't hear anything. A small workaround wich i found is to switch to the speaker for a few seconds and then switch back to phone...
but on the next call it's starting again.
Are there any news out there that this is going to be fixed or can we do something by our selfs?
So before the system update you hadn't this problem?? That'S interesting, because in this case there is no hardware bug :victory:
So i think you all have this version:
Android 4.4.2
Sense 6.0
Software-Number: 2.16.111.3
HTC SDK API: 6.21.
Is there maybe someone who has an newer Version/older where is no sizzling noise while phoning??

Yes, i think it's an software bug because the phone was working without any problems for the first 7 days and the bug started right after the OTA update. In addition the mic is working very well in recording audio or anything else except phone calls.
I'm running this version as vodafone brand:
Android 4.4.2
Sense 6.0
Software-Number: 2.16.161.1
HTC SDK API: 6.21
I'll get an hardware exchange on thurseday. hoping to get a fully working phone ... maybe you can get this as well ?

yes i hope so. But i need to go to my Telekom Shop and i'm on hollidays next week So i have no time at the moment
==EDIT==
Try this and make Audio test. if you have the noise for this test, too it's an hardware problem and you need to contact HTC. If not it's an software problem. (Answer from HTC).

Hey,
thanks for the tip.
i've got a exchange phone on tuesday and it's working fine so far. No problems anymore and it uses the same system version. so most likely it is really an hardware fault.

I hope they'll send me a new phone as soon as they did for you
i also have that on the call receiver end. its fainted but noticeable.
My first handset was like this, intermittent crackling and noise, so I sent it back. Since then I've been sent and returned 4 of handsets in total, all of the others were worse than the first!
Anyone thinking about buying a HTC One Mini 2 from o2 in Gunmetal Grey - I'm pretty sure the whole box of them is shot!
I have a sony smartwatch 2 which works perfectly with Nexus 6 stock, except I had a gear 2 neo with my S4 which I used to take calls on... yes I spoke into my wrist, was quite handy.... My question is, has anyone found a good watch you can take calls on that is compatible with the N6? I tried a mykronos zsplash but in setup the software was crappy and I ended up having to do a factory reset to get the phone to function again...... dont want to do that too many times lol
Hi, I am new here if I am in the incorrect thread or the issue has been mentioned really appreciated to know the link.
I just got a Nexus 6 (new) everything is working fine until I did a call. I would hear a lot of static and crackling. Sometimes it would stop, but it would come back. I know it shouldn't be my network since I upgraded from a Motorola X 2013 model and didn't have this issue. The newest OS I am running on is the 5.1.1 android. I know its not the speakers since I watched a video and that didnt show the issue. Its basically via phone calls. I am running on the T-Mobile network. Would this be a hardware issue, software issue? I am concern since I just got the phone if their is a fix really appreciate it.

well, it very well could be your local network. try a different tmobile apn, thats all i could recommend. the moto x is a different phone, and you probably were using a different apn.

Sometimes when you are in between two lte towers they can conflict and call quality can significantly drop (in also might be local t-mobile issue).
The easy fix is to go to Settings --> More --> Cellular networks --> switch off VoLTE
It does put phone in HSPA connection mode, but for most part it's good, if you don't watch videos...
I believe it's the whole volte (as mentioned by monster Mary) I lowered it to 3g and I did a call not a single static will update if their is still issues thanks for the helpful feedbacks guys.
I'm just curious, I've never owned a Samsung Pay enabled device before, but I've always been intrigued that Spay can basically be used at any store due to it's MST technology. To me, it seems like, why would anybody ever use Android Pay over Samsung Pay... But yet I've seen countless posts from people with Samsung devices commenting how they only use Android pay, or they prefer Android Pay. Can anyone tell me why this is?
Not sure. I used Android pay before I owned a Samsung phone but now use S-pay exclusively. It just works about anywhere I've ever tried it. It has saved me a few times when I've forgotten my wallet too. Maybe things are better now but it seemed two or three years ago Android Pay just didn't work at a lot of places. Haven't bothered to try again.
It is probably the single item that keeps me from switching to a more pure Android device like Pixel or similar.
Hello bro, my name is Alex a from Paris I dont speak english very good please I have problem on my Note 5 N920C
The two speakers of my Note 5 N920C Nougat 7.0 make noise, when I listen to music (Spotify), watch YouTube, when I call. I have to restart it for it to work. It runs 24h / 48h then the problem comes back. I have the same sound being in Bluetooth, or being the headphones
I have both Android and Samsung pay installed on my phone and while I do primarily use S pay I have run into one or two places that don't accept it so in that case if needed I will use S-pay

Sounds like it is a software problem if it is doing the same thing on bluetooth and headphones. Have you rooted/installed a rom on your device? If not, is there a software update?
