I have been having some Bluetooth issues with my Huawei P20 Pro dual sim CLT-L29.
My mono bluetooth headset often appears as connected, but, if I make or take a call, it goes through the phone speaker, not through the headset. If I click on bluetooth - headset name it says "connected for calls and media audio", but it doesn't work. The only way to get it to work is to apply the IT approach and reboot the phone.
Has this happened to anyone else? This makes the phone quite unusable; when I get important phone calls, I can't always say: "please wait 30 seconds while I reboot my phone"!
This has happened with 4 headsets: 2 Jabra Talk 45 and 2 Plantronics V3200. The Plantronics has sensors to direct the call back to the phone if the headset is not in your ear, but I have disabled that. The Jabra has no such function, so this cannot be the issue.
Oddly, this has never happened with stereo bluetooth earphones / headphones. The worst that has happened with those is that, since a few months ago, the Jabra app no longer recognises the Jabra 65t earbuds, even though they otherwise still work just fine.

I just got a pair of Jabra BT8010 for my Tilt and was looking forward to enjoying them but they won't play music for me. The Jabra BT8010 has a regular BT headset that works like any other BT set but it also has a cable you can attach and make it into a stereo headset with another ear bud. You press a mode button to turn on the stereo/music function.
However, the music function of the headset is on and I can control the media player but either the sound plays for about 10 seconds and goes out or no sound comes through the headset at all. Jabra & ATT were no help. HTC claimed that phone doesn't work with this BT set because the device must have a dedicated BT music headset. That sounded shady to me so I decided to check several forums and noticed some people use the same model. I've contacted these people but no reply yet. Anyone have advice on what to do for a fix?
I had the same problem at first. Using the menu on the headset itself, I was able to reset it to the factory settings, repair it with my phone, and it worked just fine after that.
Hope that helps you out.
There are already lots of reviews of both devices and they are good. I have both, the Plantronics for two years now while the Jabra arrived yesterday. The reason I got the Jabra was basically for the A2DP profile.
There are tons of reviews but none of them reviewed it thoroughly for one of its main functions, MULTIPOINT, the ability to have to phones connected to the headset at the same time.
Here In the Philippines, having two phones is a must. So for us blutooth users here, Multipoint is must.
Ive been using Plantronics 640 for about two years now. I love it. It doesnt have DSP and or noise cancelling technology but I dont need it, I use it in the car, office or indoors, rarely outdoors, and its really not that windy here in the Philippines.
Phone A: HTC Touch Dual (supports handsfree, headset, A2DP profiles)
Phone B: Myphone Dual SIM (supports 2 SIM CARDS simultaneously, and all profiles of Phone A)
Im kinda in a hurry now but heres a summary of what I am trying to do and what I cant, im not sure if its a Jabra Issue, but my Old Jabra BT620 didnt have this issue at all.
When Using the 8040
1.) Pair it with two phones. I was successful here.
2.) On phone A listen to music while being able to accept calls from A & B
3.) While on a Call with A and receiving a call on B, I want to hear a beap/tone on the headset so I can put on hold or end the current call and switch to the call on B just by pressing the 8040's button.
4.) While Listening to Music, I accept a call on A, then I get a call on B, so I want to end A, then answer B, then when I end B, I want music to automatically connect to A.
Right now when I answer a call on A, it looses its connection to B, when a call comes in to B, Phone B rings but there is no Beep/tone on the headset so I have to manually end A via headset, then B connects again to the headset.
When I am listening to Music on A, and a call comes in on A, there is no problem, music pauses, I press headset button to take the call, then I end the call again with another press and music comes back on. BUT when I try number, it fails to connect back, music just plays on phone itself not on the headset.
My Jabra 640 has not trouble at all with everything, except for the music part since its not A2DP.
Thats all for now!
I just wanted to buy a stereo bluetooth handsfree for my device and finally I decided to buy an EverE T909s about 40 $...
it pairs correctly and fully to the device and music sound is good... but when there is an incoming call or when i call some one its microphone is so weak and people cant hear me!
I just paired the headset to another phone but it worked properly...
any solution?
I have the same problem. But in my case people can hear me when T909S is connected to the phone (Samsung), not very good, but they can.
What I'm concerned is when I connect this headset to my computer and try to use it for Skype, whatever settings I use the sound from Microphone is always very squeaking and it's impossible to use this headset as my headphones in Skype...
Any solutions?
I've been using a new bluetooth headset for about a week now, and suddenly it won't stay connected to my Pure. I have not done anything different to the phone to affect the bluetooth settings, and I've checked them several times anyway and everything seems normal.
I even deleted the pair with the headset, re-paired, but still the same results. The headset is properly recognized, it connects to the phone normally, but after about 20 or 30 seconds it disconnects.
If I turn on the phone's bluetooth, turn on the headset, then make a call after it connects, the call is properly routed to the headset but only for those first 20 or 30 seconds. What's worse is when the headset disconnects from the phone during the call it doesn't just revert the call to the phone's mic & speaker, it ends the call.
By the way, the headset is a NoiseHush N450, but I don't think the problem is with the headset because the same thing happens when I pair my phone to other BT headsets.
Any ideas?
Hi
I have a P30 Pro, EMUI 9.1 .0.193 and I'm experiencing random disconnect of my BT headset during the call. I had a Voyager Legend and now a Jabra Supreme UC but the problem is still present.
Basically, during a phone call, randomly, the BT headset disconnect and the call is routed to the phone, or to another BT device.
The phone is very close to the headset to I don't think it is a problem of distance.
Does anyone have the same problem?
Thanks
Stefano
Yes, mine does the same with different headsets so I believe it is the phone, not the headset. I have to reboot my phone every week because Bluetooth will connect to my headset but only for calls, not for audio.

I'm trying to understand if there is something around that could generate the problem... Random disconnections occur only when I'm at home at my desk, I have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse connected to the PC, probably there is interference. I never had disconnections when I'm outdoor or in the car...
I will try to pay more attention to this fact, maybe you can do the same to see any possible relationship of the problem with the sourrender environment.
