Firefox freeze problem - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

Hey, recently I have something weird with my note 8.
Every time I update or reinstall Firefox my phone is freeze and after few seconds I get (sometime) "process system isnt work"and the phone reboot itself.
After the reboot Firefox is up to date and work as usual without problems.
It happens only with Firefox app.
What can be the reason it happening only with Firefox and why?
And another thing.
I can't find Firefox in "app power monitor", under "battery". Not in "unmonitored apps" and not in "always sleeping apps"
I run android 7.1.1
Thanks

Are you running a custom OS? If you are then there is probably an issue with the custom OS installed on your device.

If he will factory reset he will still have that issue. Coz it is default like you have in your own browser.
Have you tried to change the home page?

I was trying to avoid factory reset.
I have tried changing homepage, it didn't help. This tab keeps showing up.
I've been using this device 3 months now, it started happening 2 days ago.
Any idea why??
Thx for helping out.

Looks like you got two windows open in browser. Can't you just close that second one?

The only thing that solved the problem was uninstalling browser with Titanium backup and following this link:

Apps reloading!

Hy everyone! I am very satisfied with my phone but I have one small problem.. When I download a new app the phone, or I am in the process of installing, the phone get very laggy for a couple of seconds and the apps on my home screen reload. They disappear and reappear in a second or two. Why is that happening? Also when I go into apps or widgets it gets a bit laggish when scrolling around.. Is that normaln for a stock ROM? I`m on stock JB,rooted.. And I did a factory reset after update to JB and manually installed all the apps..

Rolling back is not an option.. Do you have a ROM or kernel to recommend?
It's normal; the homescreen is just refreshing so it displays the shortcut for the app. (it auto-places one on install)
And about the lag, download "Advanced Task Killer" and kill the apps/processes, or use the stock one. ("Task Manager")

The task manager won't get you anywhere. Android handles processes not like crappy windows and the task manager thing is unnecessary as hell. Search for it.
For the rom/ kernel thing try it out yourself . There are many good and stable ROMs on here.

[Q] Should I remove data/dalvik-cache folder periodically?

So my S3 Mini gets quite sluggish sometimes and everything lags and I wanna ask if deleting the "dalvik-cache" (can't clear it through CWM) folder located in "data" speed up my device.
i can say it wont help you. are you using stock rom? (original)

Install another ROM. Samsung's bloatware could be slowing down stuff pretty much. You can also try to uninstall the bloatware.

well.i've frozen all the bloatware with Freezer so I don't think that this is the problem. I'm sure that if we get KitKat, it will solve most issues

I know that google play will automatically download and install all my apps which i had before, but what about the TouchWiz icons layout?

I need help guys !!

So this keeps popping up in my screen and its getting very fustrated how do i take this off?

This typically occurs when you've installed an app that's not playing nice with the phone. Trying figuring out which app and remove it. This post however would be better suited in the QA section versus the developers section. You'll get better responses there.

Same issue with mine. And I think it started when I installed several of the android 5.0 lollipop apps with material design that I keep finding in the blog section on here. Must be the material design not playing well with KitKat. Cuz normally when I try to install the next versions apks on an older OS it gives me the parsing issue error but I haven't seen it adding or updating the google material design updated apks.

If you have a custom recovery like twrp then boot to it and then go to Advanced/File Manager/ then where ever you copied and pasted the apks at and delete them. You may have to mount system and data first under Mounts on the main twrp page. After all that go back into Advanced/Fix Permissions. Try that. Oh and in twrp you can go to Wipe/Advanced Wipe select System then at the bottom select Repair. Thats helped me out a few times. Or make a back up when you're good and just restore. Lol

How to automatically launch an app on boot?

Hi!
I wish to automatically load Vidon Xbmc (Kodi) when I boot, but none of the auto boot apps that work on "regular" android seem to work on Remix Os 2.0?
Does anyone know how to make an app load automatically on boot? Or is there any auto boot app that works on Remix Os 2.0 ?
Best regards!
