Oneplus 3t no data - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Hello
I have a problem with my phone.
When i connect my phone to my laptop nothing happened .nothing show in menu for changing usb mode nothing show.also nothing happened in fastboot .no usb no data no adb i already changed my usb c port but same problem.no data no fast charging no adb nothing .
Please help me i love my oneplus 3t

First things first, try with another USB type C cable, make sure the cable has the data leads in it and not just charging. Cheap Chinese cables don't always have data leads and therefore only works for charging.

Bro im using original cable and also i tested 3 an other cable still same problem no data

Are you running latest OxygenOS on the phone? When did it last work?

"Fastboot AC" no PC or Mac seems to recognize my phone!

Hi all. I'm running Android 4.4.2 with Sense 6 on InsertCoin - S-OFF. It's been fine for about a full year now - I havent touched ROM/firmware in about 6 months. Just this past week, the device is no longer recognizing any PC connections - it still charges fine with any USB plug, but seems to think every connection is an AC charger. Nothing pops up on my phone or the computer (mac or PC). I have USB debugging on.
ADB does not see the device, in normal boot or in Fastboot.
Fastboot on the phone says "Fastboot AC" where it used to say "Fastboot USB"
Is this a software issue I can rectify from the phone? I have TWRP and root, so I can perform certain things on the device itself. Or should I go to T-Mobile and try to get a replacement (I have insurance on the device)

Are you sure you are using a usb data cable and not only a usb charging cable? Usb data cable have 5V+, Ground, Data+ and Data- connections. Charging cable only have 5V+ and Ground connection and will not be able to communicate with the device. You can test your capble on another device to confirm the cable have data capabilities (using a camera for example or any other device with a micro usb port).
Even if you are sure that you are using a data usb cable, you might want to try another one, maybe that one you are using is defective.

Thanks - yes, I tested this on my Nexus 7 too. All 3 cables I tried connect the N7 to both the Mac and PC fine, I was able to flash an OTA to it. However, the same 3 cables product no results for the HTC One M7.

it doenst sounds good, maybe a defective usb port on your phone... Maybe some dirt inside? Try to clean your port with a cotton swab and Isopropyl alcohol

Note 5 Keeps Disconnecting & Connecting Via USB Cable

Hello...
My Note 5 Keeps Disconnecting & Connecting rapidly Via USB Cable? I have tried to seek solutions by disabling power management in USB Control but to no avail. Does anyone ever have this same issue & share how to fix this? Thanks in advance
Ihad this problem before. And i found that the problem caused by the cable itself . The note 5 cable is so thin and as you moving it , it will disconnect. I tried to connect my note 5 with old s5 cable . (Thicker one ) and the problem never appear again . Hope that help .
I agree, I had the same problem and found out it was the USB cable itself..

Hi,
Firstly, i agree with other posters that it could be Usb cable. However in my case with my old Note 4 I had similar issues with connecting /disconnecting.. rapidly (same as you stated in your post)
I found in my case it was the Note 4 fast charger plug (Not cable.)
If i changed the fast charger plug it would stop disconnecting /connecting. In fact it made a loud
noise /sound in the process that drew my attention as to what was happening. (the phone was making the connection /disconnection noise)
If i changed the charger with my old Note device's charger/ plug it would work correctly. Also if i change
Note 4 fast charger with my Note5 fast charger it would also work correctly.
Good luck
Well...it's getting quite weird actually. Yes i think the problem is actually from my USB cable here, it used to be fine but problems only arose after i upgraded my PC OS from 8.1 to Windows 10 and Note 5 firmware to Marshmallow at the same interval. In my case the charging process with its fast charger adaptor works fine, but not with the data transfer when connected to PC. Since i only have other USB cable from Samsung Tab S, thus what i can conclude is that by using said USB cable, connection to PC was more stable but still sporadically undetected or stopped during data transfer here. And it did not support fast charging despite plugged to Note 5 fast charger adaptor. I suppose not all USB cables support fast charging at all. And there are reports indicating several USB problems conflicting with windows 10 as well. Meanwhile i am still trying to figure this out, i'll keep updated when new progress comes up ok. Thanks for all your attention & inputs, really appreciate it here.
Just bought a new USB data cable for Samsung Note 4, the cable is indeed thicker. Conclusively yes the culprit was the USB cable as no said problems occur anymore while using new cable here.

Slow charge, PC won't recognize device, port problem ?

I've seen similar reports of type C port connection failure, wether with quick charge or PC connection, but no one gave a solution.
Out of no where ( almost a week now) the device would charge less than 1A regardless of the charger or cable.
OTG doesn't work
PC connection charge the device, but neither the device not the PC detect the connection.
The port is clean
Factory reset doesn't help
Different cables and PCs didn't either.
Any solution?!

No usb no fast charging no otg

hello i have a problem with my oneplus 3t
my phone wont fast charging and also no data transfer to pc/laptop
i already chande usb type c cable and also i changed my type c flex ribbon still same problem no fast charging and no data transfer no otg only charging
my laptop not recognize my phone noting happened.
what should i do ?!
I there any thing should i changed or repair?!
please help me thank you
No usb, no fast charging and no otg
This same issue just started happening to me a few weeks ago also.
I have two 5t phones so I know it's not the cables which I have multiple.
And I use my phone for work also and have been unable to connect to transfer work pictures.
I'm worried because I can't factory reset because I'm unable to back up my data. I cannot transfer 100gb!!
I need help. I have tried all developer options, also usb settings reset notification and permissions the phone and even had the usb port replaced thinking it may have been damaged with no help.
If you search the op3/t forums for the last three years a bit, you'll find that many (not all, but quize some) usb/otg/dash-charge issues (especially if happening out of the blue without changing roms, installimg new software or messing with settings) are due to dirt. Cleaning the device's usb-c port may help.

V40 USB issue

The problem just started.
What works:
1. Low speed charging
2. Access to OTG memory card
Not Working:
1. Connecting to PC. Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) The PC has the correct LG driver.
2. Fast Charging
3. Android Auto USB mode. Phone won't negotiate with the car.
I have cleaned the USB port with electronic cleaner and sand paper. It made no difference. The port wasn't dirty to start with. I have not done factory reset since the problem looks more likely to be hardware.
Any suggestion?
Cord gone bad?

Not the cord. Already tried several. The cords work fine in fast-charge mode and Android auto with other phones.

So, has this device connected to the mentioned PC before? If so, and nothing has changed (like driver update etc), then, sorry to say, but it absolutely sounds like the usb port is an issue.
Even if out of warranty, I'd plead my case to LG. That shouldn't happen. Has it gotten wet? Is any part loose in there?
good luck
I also have a USB problem, but mine keeps asking what I want to use the USB connection for i.e. charging, power supply, file transfer, photo transfer or MIDI device. And the wireless charging doesn't work either.

I got the same problem, I tried to work around the USB port and it fixed itself. Probably got some dust in the port. Try to tug the cable a bit and reconnect. Or you can try different cable.
