Macro Camera Focus? Is there an app/mod?

Looking for a way to take closeup pics. Is there an app add-on to the camera?

Thats cute. But seriously, a focus open? My behold2 had a macro setting… nothing on the market?
At what distance are you trying to take pictures since you need a dedicated macro setting? Just tried with the standard camera app and it can focus down to 5cm/2in which is pretty darn close.
It may not be as close as a good camera, but then again the camera quality ain't that great anyways. To answer your question; No, I haven't seen any app around to activate macro mode.

SGS I9000 Camera Panoramic feature (Enhance the MP?)

As you already have seen in the camera mode! You can take panoramic pictures with the SGS! but it's only 0.3 mp! The droid x can take much higher resolution panoramic pictures.
Is there a way to hack it so we can take higher resolution panorama pictures?

of course, it's all software, you just need to install another Camera App for that
there is also a very nice Photo Stitch software for Android to do the same thing
then you can take individual high res pic, then stitch it all together
PhotoStitch is not working for the Samsung Galaxy S and i prefer the stock camera app!
Does the camera app in the pre release Froyo firmwares show any indication of increased resolution for panorama shots?
The built in camera app is pretty good and the implementation of pano shots is well done, save for the low rez.
Any updates on this issue?
PUSHING!
I really would want to have this feature modded in one of the camera.apk's
PLEASE!
Now that the thread is bumped, I'd like this feature!
Galaxy Ace (which I own) has this issue too.
Any news/fix/others-raccomanded-apk?
I've used this for some time and it's great:

[Q] Best camera app

Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on camera apps for the Moto X that they found took better pictures or a better experience than the stock camera app.
Thanks!
I alternate between Perfect Shot (has awesome stabilization, and split focus/exposure), and recently Camera Awesome, since they just recently added split focus and exposure. I suspect its just a matter of time when CA adds HDR (my fav there is Pro HDR). A Better Camera is also great, and includes a histogram, as well as HDR (its a mix of Night Camera and HDR +).
I own them all, plus I love Vignette for some effects I've not seen elsewhere, and VSCO Cam (not the greatest UI though).
I also have a couple others, like ProCapture. I'm a bit of a camera app whore.
For editing, my goto's are Snapseed, Handy Photo, Pixlr Express, Perfectly Clear, VSCO, Vignette, After Focus Pro (awesome), and definitely not least, PS Touch.
Probably just confused you.. Go with Camera Awesome first... it has good editing stuff too.

Working Rear Cam HDR+ GCAM

hello everyone,
just wanna share what i found in 4pda.
credits to sinykovo on 4pda lenovo p2 thread.
i think you need to enable camera2 api first
only the rear cam has hdr+ and no portrait mode

Good camera, thanks.
I urge others not to waste their time to download the app linked above. This is a very, very old version of GCAM and not the one that you think it is. For now, there's no GCAM that works with HDR+ enabled on the rear camera. So, save you bandwidth and don't download this piece of ****.

You might be right that it's an older version of GCAM, but surprisingly it actually took better photos than the GCAM app in the other thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p2/themes/stable-oneplus-5-camera-t3709983
Comparison shots attached. Thanks OP ?

Third Party Camera App

Hey everyone, quick question. What third party app supports all 4 cameras of xperia 1 ii.. I tried moment because it said it supports all the features and all but in real life it only supported wide angle, main and front facing camera and now all support. And I've tried the proshot that supports all the cameras but is buggy. Any other apps come to mind?
This is a good topic for me, as I am finding camera app with full support on our phone - XPERIA 1II.
I found this one supporting 4 lenses, and it has free camera app to try with,
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.filmic.firstlight&hl=en_US
Another one I am using, this does not support all 3 lenses, but it can take photos with 21:9 ratio,
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magix.camera_mx&hl=en_US
I hope more supported apps can be shared here, as an alternative to stock camera app and google cam.

there are several feature locked, including HDR, and only open to paid user. And HDR option is accessing through long-click on left-top icon. More you can read the introduction from setting.
