Hi,
I am not sure if I am doing it wrong, but everytime I bring out the genie to activate air trigger for some games, it pauses the game. For some games, this hides the on screen controls, preventing me from mapping the controls to the air triggers.
Can anyone advise if there is any other way to do this?

I primarily use my Nook as a bedside tablet / alarm clock (using Night Clock). I have it docked and charging, with audio output going to external speakers. It is like this 90% of the time, but I occasionally unhook it to read in bed, or around the house.
In replacing my "real" clock radio, I'm starting to miss the Sleep Timer. Ideally, I'd like an app that would play a "mellow" playlist of mp3s, with a timer function that can be set for a hour or more. If that app could also lower the playing volume over time as well, that'd be great (but it would have to be app-volume, or at least return the volume back to the preset so I can still hear the MP3 alarm in the morning.)
I'm still rather new to Android, but does something like this exist?
I use Sleeptimer. Its not exactly what your looking for though. It allows you to select app you want to run and then set how long you want you want it to run( in 1 and 5 minute increments) .
In my case, I tell it to run either Pandora or Q3( the music player I use) and then I have it set to 30 minutes. Then each night I open sleeptimer, press start timer and then press run music player and it starts whaterever app I had selected. It will then close the program after your selected time( although you can shake the nook to extend the time by five minutes).
You could have it open up your music player app and have a 'mellow' playlist that you play, or Pandora with a mellow artist selected. Unfortunately it cannot lower the volume over time.
Easy, Mortplayer. Best Music Player and has TONS of features. Including Alarm Clock and Sleep Timer Functions. Just head on over to Market and type in 'Mortplayer'. It's completely free with no Ads.
Be sure to explore the Settings menu as there are alot of Good features hidden there including Swipe gestures and a Custom Lock Screen. Also if your running CM7 and have the Power Widget in the Notification bar enabled the Play/Pause button works with Mortplayer.

i'm using bcm rc3.2u1 on my nexus one and i'm mostly happy with that rom.
but when i'm listening to music while my phone is in my pocket i'm always switching play/pause or jumping to the next song involuntarily.
how is it possible to deactivate the music widget on the lock screen?
I had the same problem. The problem isn't the widget its actually in the music settings.
Go into the music app settings and under UI, shake & Flip settings. For me, the Shake action was set to none, but was still enabled to go to next so I just reselected 'None' and that solved that problem. Its also set to pause when the phone flips so you might want to turn that off as well.
thx for your reply.
in my case the on/off-button gets pushed and random touchscreen inputs switches the song.
i can reduce the effect if i turn the smartphone in my pocket so that the backside is on my leg but it doesn't solve the problem.
shake & flip actions are set to none (and also switched to any other option and back to none).
i was wrong. it helped.
thank you.
Hi,
question about the swipe notfications:
Usually when you click on a notification, the associated action is carried out (if any) and the notification disappears. Now, when swiping a notification away, it will disappear without executing any further actions. Is this the intended behavior?
Example:
I was looking at a video streamed via theSoundhound app and after switching to another app, Sundhound continues to play in the background and displays a notification "Click to stop" or something. I swiped it away and the stream kept on playing so I had to navigate back to the app and stop it there.
Thanks
Jo
Yes, it is supposed to act like this. Clicking the notification executes a relevant action while swiping it away simply dismisses it.
Hi guys I was wondering if someone figured out how to disable the persistent notification while playing music. It's so annoying. It covers the bottom half of the screen and I can't tell the time, which kind of defeats the purpose. I tried disabling notifications for the play music app but it's still there. Any suggestions?
The new wear update fixed it. Yay!
I like the player controls in the notification screen, however I can't swipe them away after I've closed the app. The only way to get rid of them is to disable and re-enable the apps notification. Is there any way to get around this?
