Hi,
You can now run Debian Buster XFCE on a Xiaomi Redme 6 phone.
MOD EDIT: YT link removed
It runs as an application but requires root access.
If you own this budget phone you can try this out for free.

You can refer Kali website for detailed instructions xda is not letting me post any links so i hope you undustand
2)TO install Nethunter:- Download nethunter rom from Kali website since i am on pixel experience 9.0 i have downloaded one plus 7 pie nethunter rom Then go to /data/app and install the apps present in that folder one by one. Also download and install nethunter module from magisk!
You can read the article in android authority'e website.
In nethunter also you need some kernal support for hid and wireless attacks but nevertheless, we have nethunter running on our AZMP m1
*Remember to install busy box in system/bin if nethunter terminal is not working!!
*both minimal and full croot is working!!
At the end thank you and a request to devolopers to devolope kernal for nethunter for AZMP m1 or to port nethunter rom from one plus 7.Thank you!
I had successfully installed full kali nethunter. What kernel is working for max pro m1?
I'm going to log everything that I do with my Mi Pad 4 to help others. This is the thread.
My plan
A) This
1) unlock it by xiaomi (? 360 hours waiting)
2) flash twrp
3) flash magisk
4) reboot
My plan is to follow this process.
Device: Xiaomi MI PAD 4 - 3GB RAM, 32GB, MicroSD, 1920x1080 Tablet
(Just picked it up)
Hope this doesnt auto-merge. Expect it will.
Wondering how to do this:
"unlock it by xiaomi" ... I will search the Mi Pad 4 forums
I will be figuring out which rooting method is best for my device.

There is an XDA app (sideload .apk) with the Xposed framework.. You need to be rooted to install this framework.
Q: Can you use the Xposed framework with a custom ROM .... or is Xposed a custom ROM. Do some ROMS and not others support the Xposed framework ?
Consider disabling Bluetooth for better battery.

I think it's the Bluetooth that's draining... At least on mine. After I disable I can have it off for days and days and only drain a few percent .

It depends on your phone and the OS ROM it's running, but I think most normal, non-potato phones are on arm64-v8a these days. armeabi is for super-old devices, armeabi-v7a is for 32-bit devices, arm64-v8a is for 64-bit devices.
v8a devices can run v7a apks.

I installed Nexus Stock for Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 for my son's tablet and it works like a charm. Finally something simple and working out of the box without a hassle (and error 7 from twrp).

Hey everyone. I've looked all over the web for a Lineage OS 16 ROM for my Note 5 and cannot find a single active link that has the ROM available to download. All the YouTube videos I've watched have dead links. I eventually said to myself that I would have to build the ROM myself, but I have NO knowledge of building ROMs. I've already setup Ubuntu 18.04 with platform tools and am in the process of repo-syncing Lineage OS 16 to my computer. Does anyone know what I need and what to do in order to make a functional ROM for my Note 5?
So, i heard ubuntu touch released a GSI image to flash with twrp but you need to recompile or patch the kernel to successfully boot it. I don't have the skills to do this alone just following the guide without any reference, so could someone look into this stuff to help me do this thing?
Thank you all, i would love to see ubuntu touch kde running on my phone. :victory: (pls don't look at my ridiculous username)
Recently Ubuntu Touch was ported to Mi 8, by me and NotKit. See my profile, for links, and install instructions
I am looking for some help getting nethunter to work right on my tab s8 plus please let know
You might want to change the thread back to the default "Question" type, as this subject doesn't appear to be in the "General" category. It's a question. I can't help, though - I haven't used Nethunter.
You can't use Kali NetHunter (not a supported device) and you can't use Termux as a persistent back-end anymore (Newer versions of Android will auto-kill Termux process when it thinks it's idle). See prior discussion here since you didn't search before you posted basically duplicate thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/termux-linux-with-graphics-working.4441645/#post-86868307
Instead, root your tablet, then install Linux Deploy ( https://github.com/meefik/linuxdeploy ) . Once you're in Linux Deploy you can install full (ARM binaries) Kali Linux, which is better than NetHunter in most regards anyway.
Have anyone any youtube video running Linux in galaxy tab s8 ultra?
I would like to see the result..
Thanks!
