Hi, please help me I really don't know where else to ask.
While I was using my P20 Pro for watching youtube, the phone suddenly went unresponsive. Being confuse I press the power button, so screen went dark and then I tried to restart by holding power button. But it never restart and never get to see the boot logo.
I tried what it says in the video, to hold Volume Up + Power or Volume Down + Power, but none of this worked. As in I never even get to see the boot logo. the youtube video title: "Huawei Mate 20/30 Pro Fixed: Black Screen / Frozen / Won't Restart / Won't Turn On" by WorldofTech
The weirdest thing my phone keeps vibrating every 10 or 20 seconds. Is this what you called boot loop?
FYI, I didn't try to do any root or flashing or that sorts. Anyone can help me?
To enter in recovery mode, your device must be turned off. If the device is vibrating every 10 seconds it is because it is not off. To turn it off, you must press and hold the power button for at least 20 or 30 seconds. Once it is completely off, by pressing the volume up and power buttons simultaneously for some second, until you can see the logo, you will be able to enter in recovery mode and do a hard reset.
You can also use another method according this link...

Hello!
Not later than this morning I realized a problem on my Idol 4. At random moments it restarts. When it is on the screen of starting up it continues to restart in a loop. I came to the conclusion that it is a problem with the power button because when I press the volume buttons to enter download mode or even recovery, it quit the download mode (which is done by pressing power) and select options automatically in recovery (which also done by pressing power). So when it restarts I just press the power button randomly, try to pull it out of the phone and then it stops restarting. But again, minutes later it restarts... The button seems not broken or anything that kind but maybe it's in the inside ?
So just questionning how can I fix this.
Thank you a lot !
I think you can just pop the screen off and buy a replacement the idol three was pretty easy to replace. No special tools just used my nails
Hey guys,
recently I noticed that my OnePlus 3T does not give me the option to power off or reboot my device when I press and hold the power button. It just instantly reboots and after 10 seconds I am back on the lockscreen. It does not power off.
I searched the web but did not find anything so I don't know what to do.
I appreciate every hint, tip or trick.
Thanks you very much,
rxsin

Go to Developer options and try enabling Advance Reboot
I'm currently on FreedomOS 2.9, which I assume is the stock behaviour (OOS 4.1.6) for the power button:
Holding power button (takes 7 seconds or so) when screen is off = phone powers off
Holding power button when screen is on = option to reboot or power off
Holding power button when screen is on (with dev option Advance Reboot Menu) = options to reboot, power off, recovery or bootloader
It's expected behavior. If your phone freezes for whatever reason, you have to hold power button for ~8 seconds to reboot it.
If you use Substratum on OxygenOS then the reboot dialog itself crashes and reboots the UI.
Hi all,
I have trouble with my X2 Pro (CN version): after flashing system image and trying to reboot, the phone is completely frozen. Just the charging-sign is on the display. No response to the power button or Vol Down/Power to enter the bootloader.
Anyone who can help?
Thanks!
Hold in Volume UP + Power Button until it buzz, then let go.
It should take it out of the frozen state
Great, thanks. I didn't try this work around long enough
Furthermore, when I restarted the phone, Android 10 GSI Rom appeared as intended.
Thanks

try this. hold power + volume up + volume down all at the same time for about 30 seconds. that is a forced power off/restart. learned that with my HTC when it would lock up from flashing custom roms that did not boot, but had a black screen
I just found out from my local UBreakIFix that Google has extended their warranties for all screen issues on the Pixel 5a, which means you could get a free screen replacement. My warranty expired back in Aug 22 and they gave me a free replacement for my black screen. https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/11833075?hl=en
Hi everyone,
I really need some help with my Mi 11. I was on FB Messenger when the screen suddenly shut off on its own. I've tried a bunch of stuff already but the screen refuses to turn back on, though I think the phone might still be on: I have Whatsapp Web on my computer and I can still send/receive messages: according to Whatsapp, the application doesn't work if your phone is off or does not have an internet connection. I've tried:
charging the phone
pressing and holding the power button for >30s
pressing and holding the power button and volume up for >30s
pressing and holding the power button and volume down for >30s
pressing and holding all three buttons for >30s
plugging the phone into my computer(computer did not recognize that the device was plugged in)
and after all of these, the phone still hasn't turned back on. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might be able to fix it?
Do you have CN or global version? Was the device hot?
