[Q] Galaxy Mini Stucked with 2.3.3

My Galaxy mini is stuck with 2.3.3 and does not support update via kies because of its CSC which is s5570serkpf .its Russian which max support 2.3.3, I tried doing *#272*Imei# to change CSC but there is no list of CSC only Ser is available which is already installed. I want to upgrade to 2.3.5 or 2.3.6, because some galaxy mini officially support it..
and I have rooted my cellphone using SuperOneclick
Does CSC matter while flashing stock or custom Rom like my CSC is SeR on which max GB 2.3.3 is available and for some CSC stock rom 2.3.7 is availalle,If I flash them will they work? Suggest me best rom with no lag or bug .Performance increase and Overclocking option because angry bird become laggy sometimes

You won't need to do it to update, you can just flash through Odin. There are plenty of guides here on XDA.

I cannot change it So plz guide me in detail how to root my phone safetely (it will be my first root).Do I really need to root it for updating? If yes tell me a best mod for it without any lags or problem.

go to sammobile or sampro.pl and download the best suited firmware for your region...i guess the latest 2.3.6 ddkq7 will work coz that's indian....flash it thru odin(http://www.4shared.com/rar/AUQ8eeC3/Odin_Multi_Downloader_v438_www.html) it needs a tass ops file(http://hotfile.com/dl/112245631/62ba9aa/TASS_v1.0.ops.html)... just open odin and if samsung drivers are installed it will detect your phone(phone should be in download mode..before putting it in that mode, power off and start it in recovery mode and wipe data and cache, just in case)..then select the tass ops file...click one package and select the md5 file that you would've extracted from the firmware rar file.that's it click start and dont touch your phone till it says pass...in case samsung logo keeps repeating itself after odin says pass(bootloop), just restart in recovery and wipe data and cache and reboot phone.it will be just fine...........
once this is done,you can flash clockwork mod(attached below) by the same procedure(dont extract the cwm file....just click one package and use this tar file).phone will restart in a minute and you have cwm now!!!!!!!!then head over to galaxy mini android development and find a suitable rom for you and follow instructions posted by the awesome developers and enjoy!!!!!!!1

Easiest method that worked for me
First install clockword mod by flashing your phone through odin( i use v4.0.0.5).
Then download this zip http://www.mediafire.com/?zy2zvjbqha2vkzx
and copy it to your sd card.
Then all you need to do is to turn ur phone off and go to clockworkmod by pressing Home Button + Power button. Then select "install zip from sd card" then "choose zip from sdcard" and then select the zip you just downloaded and copied to the sd card and then click install. Then reboot your phone should be rooted

Yes you can flash it with other region stock rom. I've upgraded my mini to 2.3.6 Polish rom.

If you want to use custom rom, make sure that you flash cwm first. most custom rom includes dsp manager which will make the audio sounds awesome. you have to choose yourself which custom rom suite you best.

Sorry if i'm mistaking asking in the wrong section.I know i should search all post before i make this thread n sure i did too.But there is so many topics i found so i'm just confused.I really need help to unroot my Galaxy note.I rooted my note following Ashwin's video tutorial -How to Root the Galaxy Note (Latest Firmwares) N7000 - youtube.com/watch?v=cJjh6gi0Spw.Sorry can't use the full link as i'm new in here.I used the same KL3 file n the same zImage file Ashwin used.Now i want to unroot it.But don't know what is the proper way to do it.I don't want to harm my warranty.So i really need ur help guys.

Download any complete stock ROM and flash with PC Odin

Thank u for ur kind reply.Look i still have the KL3 rom which i used to downgrade my firmware.I think it's a complete stock rom Ashwin used.So i'll be able to use this? N before i do it with PC Odin do i need to do anything from my mobile CWM tool which i got after the root.Or i just reinstall the rom with PC odin.Thank u.

No need to do anything from CWM recovery, flashing with PC Odin will reset your system.. Just make sure it is a complete ROM and flash it using the steps described in the 2nd post of this thread

I see there is a new rom added to dr.ketan's post for Galaxy Note.ICS ROms-N7000XXLPY-4.0.3-2012 May-N7000OXALPY-Open Germany.My question is - is it the full complete stock rom of ICS for Galaxy note?I'll be able to upgrade to ICS with pc odin,the same way i downgraded to KL3 firmware.N it will not harm my warranty? In there dr.ketan added the upgrade guide too.Here is the installation method by dr.ketan ---->
Install using Mobile Odin safely
- Download N extract ROM
- Copy Extracted file to a folder e.g ICS ROM On Ext/Int SD card
- Download CF Root for LPY
- Extract CF root till get zImage file
- Copy zImage file to same above said folder in SD car
- Open Mobile Odin
- Select 'Open file' N point to ROM file
- select Kernel tab N point to zImage file
- select Ever Root option
- Flash
- You will get ICS ROM + Root + CWM

O n as this N7000XXLPY-4.0.3 Rom is official then i think I'll be able to upgrade all the official upgrade in future through WiFi?Cause i heard when we use custom roms it's not possible to get the official upgrade through WiFi.That time all we need to download the upgrade file n flash it.

You don't need it. CF-root is only for those who want a rooted system with CWM. You can simply flash the rom using pc odin.

It's the official ICS rom for Germany. This means in theory it should be possible to download OTA updates. But I can't guarantee it since the rom is for Germany and it is possible that Samsung checks what rom for which geographical market is installed prior to providing the update for download. Maybe they refuse to update your system if the installed rom is from another country.

About flashing via odin
Well I am having the same question.. Before rooting I made a backup using cwm, then my friend flashed ics stunner 5.0. I don't know how but it crashed and I restore my phone using cwm backup. Now it is the stock ics but the kernel is different.. It says abyss kernel.. My question now is that if I flash the rom using the above mentioned method will I get the stock rom+ stock kernel and second question, and what about the binary counter will it increase again.???

[Q] How to install official ICS without root

Stock, ICS Update new to Samsung devices. I own a Note for 10 days. It is on 2.3.6 XILB1 which I found out to be Italian Global. It is not rooted.
I would like to upgrade to ICS but when I searched the forum the are many threads with download links and I am confused wichone to download(wipe or non wipw???)
In a thread I've found
Just download the ICS file and flash via Odin.
1. Unrar ICS file.
2: Power off the phone.
3: Press and hold Power+Home+Vol Down to enter download mode.
4: Open ODIN and under PDA, load the tar/md5 file which you just downloaded.
5: Under ID:COM, wait for the device to be detected. You will see a yellow color with some port number inside it.
6: Hit Start and wait for ODIN to flash the new ICS firmware on your Galaxy Note.
As far as I understand I need PC Odin to flash but will it harm my device to flash a Germany Rom to Italian device. With HTC I had to change the CID according to ROM or Super CID the phone.
I prefer a clean install and setup so I don't mind loosing all my data and install all my apps back. Also I am mot planning to root my Note for now since I've only used root change boot animation and install Quick Boot and I can live without them.
A link to direct me to the correct file would be very appreciated.

- Download the ROM from here
- Open PC Odin
- Go into Download mode on your Note
- Extract the zip and flash the md5 file
Voila.

the md5 file goes in the pda slot of pc odin, if your not familiar with it and make sure you have the samsung drivers installed, easy way is to install kies and plug your phone in and wait for it to connect once to ensure you have the proper drivers

I keep getting stuck on zimage. Uninstalled kies and left the drivers, so its not that. Any ideas. Never had issues flashing my epic with odin.

Question and doubt: repartitioning, ROM and GApps

I try to go direct to the point.
I found this tremendly intresting Android developement for N7000: NightOwl 20151030
It is in Android developement sub frum, but I am a newbe and I cannot post there.
In order to flash Lollipop Roms is suggested a repartitioning.
I read this guide: How to re-partition Galaxy Note and install Android 5.1.1 (Link in Nightowl ROM 3D, page 1)
Amazing useful.
My problems:
1. I cannot download the Stock Android 4.1.2 ROM according to the baseband version... site: sammobile
download doesn't work
2. I cannot download SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.zip
Same problem, download doesnt start or tooooo slow, and dead before the end.
Any other mirror or site is available?

1. Any latest samsung rom for n7000 would work.
2. Just Google for Samsung USB drivers and you should find a link to samsung's developer site.

1. You don't need a stock ROM for repartitioning you can use a philz recovery in .tar format
2. If your USB drivers won't work just install Samsung kies it will fix it for you .. But remember to end all kies's processes in task manager before you use odin

I don't have the device SM-G530t for testing. And I don't suggest flash this rom to device SM-G530t. For the baseband version does not match may lead to wifi can't be opened problem.
