Actually, I have a Honor 10 and I want to buy a Xiaomi Mi9T Pro/K20 Pro...
I want to know if there is a solution to save and restore all the Apps AND also the associated datas of these apps from my old Honor to the new Xiaomi...
It's easy from a Honor to another Honor because we can make a Full Backup to restore on the new phone...
But how can I make this if I change of brand ?
Both phones aren't Root...

Swift backup cannot transfer app data without root.
That's right... No App data if not Rooted.

The usual back app and restore apps normally require root if you need to include the app data.
However, you have the option with your Google account. I've never tried it, so couldn't say how well it works.
Go to Settings -> Google -> Backup
It says it does everything your asking for.

I already tested it, but lots of apps aren't compatible with the Google Backup...
But Thanks for your help.

I was doing a data migration Via Titanium backup for my new Razer 2 from a OnePlus 6 and decided to try it's trusted face restore. I had tried magisk modules and apk downloads from other websites when I found out it wasn't available out of the box. I'll add the apk itself and the titanium files. Let me know how it works with just the apk. And if the bare apk doesn't work use titanium back up and let it restore as a system app.
EDIT:
Time to resurrect an old thread, I removed the app and tried it again using the packages I provided and ran into the same issue. Attached below is a titanium backup of my new working app. If you cannot get it working with the attached zip download the latest NANO Open GAPPS package available at https://opengapps.org/. I got it working again by installing the nano package. Let me know how it works guys ?
And here's a zipped file with the titanium backup

So are you saying that it does work for you? Are you on Pie?
Yes it works and yes I'm on pie. It actually works incredibly well. The app came from my OnePlus 6 on pie. I'm rooted and did it through titanium backup though. If someone unrooted tests just the apk report back.
I'm unrooted tried to install app no good doesn't work
How to restore this with titanium? sorry but it's have been a while since I used titanium
Edit: managed that titanium recognize the backup but it doesn't get restored it stays on 0%
Edit 2: now it gots restored but gives me a FC if I try to add a face

With the apk you went into the settings/security/smart Lock/ and didn't see trusted face in there then?

The app is still installed correct? From there, to try and fix the force close go into the applications from settings and clear the data from the app and try the setup again.

Yes it's installed correct and appears in smart Lock.
Clearing data doesn't help (was the first what I have tried).

Could you check the permissions it's granted in applications? Make sure it has access to everything. If that doesn't do it I'll remove the app from my device and do a fresh restore with my titanium file I posted. If it works for me again I'll post all the steps I took and add some screenshots in the original post as an edit

The app doesn't install just fails
app cannot be installed.
As of now read the updated instructions and you should be set on getting trusted face working. Quick summary is install the nano GAPPS package and it will appear in settings -> security -> smart lock. I think the install via app method in the original post didn't work because there were missing libraries that the package installs.
Smart locks do not have face recognition. (Have you received a security update in the last six months? This system cannot be updated in China.)?

No, I haven't had any updates since February. Looks like Razer already cut support for the 2
I'll look and see if there are any methods that can be used in China for this. I have a feeling the downloads will be blocked since it's a Google app :crying:.

I like to play games, but this phone, the system is very bad, inexplicable Caton, I think rp3 will not be launched, rp2 system update should seek third-party development (if there is a very good third party I am willing to try)。:highfive:

Honestly I'm thinking about trying to build AOSP like lineage from scratch for this thing. I agree that the system is pretty bad.

I did see where the Razer Phone (first phone) was now LineageOS supported, too. First saw it unofficial, and as of yesterday, officially supported.

If you change device model, better to use other methods to transfer your data, said and settings.
I prefer Samsung smart switch, as it was made for Samsung devices.
Alternatively Google allows to backup Android data to Google drive of your account and restore it when installing a new device using your Google account again. It's a feature build in nearly all Android versions.

I prefer using Samsung smart switch. That can transfer app data of many apps. Just for a few apps, I have to create and restore data manually (e.g. WhatsApp).

last time I used smart switch it only restored apps, but not their settings/preferences. That was some time ago though... Usually I root and use Titanium Backup or Swift Backup for this. I hope that smart switch can nowadays also do it. There's been a need for something like that that's officially Android or Samsung supported.
Done it by Smart switch and titanium backup guys. Thanx

So does SmartSwitch restore the apps data and settings? I guess not, as you had to use TB, right?

you can backup all your data to SD card from Settings
This won't do copy 1to 1. Back in settings does not do back up like titanium backup. All app i will have to download and install. Apps which aren't in play store or cracked apps won't be install. Plus all internal settings in each app won't be safe. This backup in settings is useless.

Yes. you need Root to get all the features.
Hello, I want to root by phone, but in order to do that, I need to unlock the bootloader. My question is : Is a google backup sufficient to restore phone to his previous state ?
Thanks by advance
Google can backup your sms messages, call logs, contacts (if u've synced them with ur gmail account), device settings, app information, so you can reinstall the apps automatically when u sign in again on a new phone or a the same phone, but rooted or with a new custom rom, without having to manually search up the apps on the play store and install them individually one-by-one (keep in mind that apps u've installed from sources other than the play store will need to be manually installed again), and your photos and videos (if u've enabled backup in google photos).
i frequently use it for custom rom hopping and find it more than sufficient
There is an alternative for the apps from others sources?

No you can't get a good backup if bootloader is locked.
Wait for unlock and in case of that all losr...and then you can root and install ... Backup whatever you want
.,.

I need to backup before unlock, because it's the unlocking process witch reset datas
And for the authenticators apps, is it possible to backup ?

My opinion:
Without unlocked bootloader you can't root. Without root you can't backup any app data or app settings.
Only backup of internal storage is possible if unrooted, means pictures, self stored files, downloads...
Some apps are able to make an own settings backup.
Google backup means naked apps, sms, contacts, some ui settings and wifi password.
That's it
The problem that you can't do a real backup without unlocked bootloader is the reason why I always unlock my smartphones before starting to really use it.
It is no problem not to root. Just unlock. All the other things are possible without data loss.
I want to root my phone but want to keep all of my data and apps to reinstall after root.
Is there any way i can save everything? I have access to a computer and am on android 13.
Have looked at samsung switch but on a thread someone said that data is not always saved and adb backup is deprecated.
Perhaps NeoBackup would work for you:

Some few apps I had to login/authorize again but most worked like a charm.

Isn't that an oxymoron?
I am not very computer literate but i just read up on how lately android has restricted access more and more so i guess ill just have to take screenshots of all my settings and manually restore them later.
Still, is there a good alternative that saves all apps without their data? I think ill be using smart switch then

Hmm, nothing stops you from making multiple backups:
https://alternativeto.net/software/titanium-backup/
I think Titanium is the best known (haven't tried it years though but people still seem happy with it), so check this and its alternatives.
I would be really keen to read about your experience(s). And, of course, plenty of good luck
PS: For calls and SMS I use
https://alternativeto.net/software/sms-backup-and-restore/about/
for years now, on any phone, has never failed me.

Thanks, i will do an update when ill do it
No Root : Samsung Switch is best, No third party app will able to make data backup
Rooted device : Swift Backup best choice. (It will make app backup without root too)
Titanium backup is crap and outdated for newer devices/OS and needs root.
I recommend following in your situation :
Use Samasung Switch and backup - Root device and restore it. There are chances some app may not corretcly restore data but that's limitation and have to accept. Once you have rooted device move to SwiftBackup (or any other that suits you best)
