Hi I was just curious if I uninstall Magisk app and all the modules and then flash the Google pixel factory image, does that completely uninstall Magisk and all its components? Thanks

I would think uninstalling magisk from magisk manager would completely uninstall magisk.

I Installed Magisk Manager and i already had supersu. Well now ive got magisksu installed. So i deleted the supersu. But the busy box app is still on my device. But busy box says not installed. Do i need busy box with magisksu? I'm confused
If you have apps that need busybox you can enable Magisk busybox in the Manager settings. Otherwise you can ignore it.

Don't know. Your description of your installation is a bit vague. If you already had systemless SuperSU installed when installing Magisk, Magisk will use SuperSU rather than MagiskSU. In that case you'll still need the SuperSU app for root management.

I had SuperSU but when i installed magisk it changed to MagiskSU under the properly rooted tab. I don't know how it happened. I just let magisk do its thing and then when my phone rebooted my kernel was back to stock(previously had FK), and magiskSU was now under the properly rooted tab.

In that case your installation of SuperSU wasn't systemless. If you want FK back it's just to install it again. Hm... I have never tried installing FK over Magisk through the FK Manager & Updater. If you get issues, reflash your stock boot image, flash FK and then Magisk.
About your Force Doze issue: does the app ask for superuser access? To keep with the FK theme, I've tested Naptime with MagiskSU and it works well.
I have used TWRP and installed SuperSu on my Redmi 4A. Now I want to uninstall SuperSu and move to Magisk. But while trying to uninstall with Full unroot in SuperSU, its showing error "Uninstallation failed!". So I want to do Full unroot in SuperSU and would like to go for Magisk. So how to do that. can anyone provide me with step by step procedure for uninstalling SuperSU and Install Magisk,

Hello,
is it possible to uninstall Magisk completely without using the Magisk Manager. Everytime i try to uninstall with the manager, it comes "error downloading file". Is there another simple way to do this?
Thanks

Hello, do you mean this file? https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v17.3/Magisk-uninstaller-20181022.zip
I´m using Magisk v17.1 on Huawei P10
This won´t work for me in TWRP. After flashing i get an error like this:
!Cannot access /data , please uninstall with magisk manager
- Unmounting partitions.
Yeah that's the for, try updating Magisk first, then uninstalling it.

On my P10 it looks like the newest Version. Update isn't possible. Or is it a way to install an older version and then remove it?
Try flashing the uninstaller as you would a module not in the Magisk repo (Modules section, "+"-button).
Thanks this worked fine. Problem solved.
Hi, I don't want to create a new thread because my problem is very similar.
I want to uninstall Magisk to be able to update my OP5. But however I am trying, it's not working. I tried flashing the uninstall.zip via TWRP first, tried the deinstall feature of the Magisk Manager and finally tried the method mentioned above. None of them worked. I restart my phone and Magisk is still installed. It needs to update and reinstall the manager but my phone is still rooted. I don't know what to do. Magisk Manager is/was up to date and I even restored a TWRP backup just in case I did some mistakes during the uninstallation.
Can anyone help me with that?

There's a bug in the Magisk v19.1 uninstaller. It's been fixed upstream, so try using the Canary uninstaller instead: https://github.com/topjohnwu/magisk_files/raw/master/canary_builds/magisk-uninstaller.zip

Looks like it worked. My phone is not rooted anymore and I could update without a problem. Thanks a lot
Works great on Nougat 7.1.1
Thanks
Hi, I have a 6x mi from my wife, who has rom.eu, bootloader unlocked and twrp (not updated). I recently installed magisk by twrp and magisk manager apk. Everything went well and I also installed adaway.
However, two days later magisk is uninstalled. I repeated the installation by twrp and is again uninstalled.
Why is this happening and what can I do to keep magisk installed?

It does not work.
I have to reinstall, but then uninstall alone again ...
So im on original OS no rom and I patched nano droid module through magisk and after reboot every app is crashing. So i tried to uninstall magisk and its still having the same issue. Says i have dont have root anymore in magisk. i dunno where i should go from here... any help would be appreciated.
Should have uninstalled the module/patch with Magisk instead of uninstalling Magisk itself.
fixed!!
