What is this t roaming option that has appeared after flashing android? - Android Auto General

Balls?

Well, that's a really random question to post in an Android Auto forum.

Android 1.6 all builds, Wifi connected, no internet

Hey,
I have been searching for hours to no avail.
I have a rogers dream, currently running the stock android 1.6 dev build from the htc website.
The reason I went to this build, is because all custom builds happened to have the same problem.
I establish a wifi connection, but have no internet access in any of the applications, such as Gmail...
Wrong forum sunshine.
sorry, im still used to the way the Elf forum is run. All questions related to specific roms, were done under the dev section.
Please don't flame me, I did read the whole rules thing.
Any way, I solved my own issue. It seems that I had to manually set the channel both the phone and router are communicating on.

[Q] 3G and network signal problem

Hi,
I recently updated to Froyo using the registry hack, i was on uk orange jf3 before.
Since being on it i have constantly been struggling with the 3g and the network signal, at first i thought the 3g was disconnecting when i turned the wifi on but then the network signal starting disappearing and it would show the circle symbol with the diagonal strike through it to show that it was not picking up any networks.
I read somewhere that cycling flight mode might solve the issue, but for some reason once i turn on/off flight mode it just hangs at that stage and will not change until after a restart.
I have also tried formatting both the internal and ext sd cards and i have done a factory reset twice.
Nothing has helped, it connects to 3g initially (which shows that it shouldn't be a setting problem?) and the network signal is also fine initially but then after a short amount of time or inactivity or switching on wifi the 3g won't connect and the network signal just dies.
If anyone has any ideas as to what is causing this or how to fix it i would really appreciate it.
Having a phone that can't make or receive calls when i need it to is really f'ing me off.
P.s. I have read and searched other topics for help on this but nothing so far has helped.
Might be something like I have? But I got no reply here...

Yer i read your post, what i don't understand is that it was totally fine in 2.1 and now in 2.2 it's messed up, not sure if that is the same for you?
I think it is something to do with it being for Norwegian users not UK and that somehow affects it.
I have checked the apn and it all seems correct, do you also have the issue with flight mode not working properly?
Just found this on an internet search...
: Samsung Galaxy S v2.2/Froyo update
Posted: 5 days ago in response to: stefan
Some news on the update to Android 2.2 for the Samsung Galaxy S. Currently we are making some changes to get it working better when using Orange signal, and are therefore looking to release the update by the end of November – obviously this is a delay on our original release date but we hope it will be worth the wait!
Kind Regards

Not sure exactly what that means but it sure sounds like this might be the problem i am having.
I would be interested to know if other UK orange users have been having problems?
I would also like to know if it is possible for me to go back to to a previous version so i can actually use my phone.
I am orange uk, and have similar problem at home, but works well at office. Maybe it is due to the barrier of signal. if the signal level is lower than this barrier, only emergency call can be.
I do not know how to do but my friend advised me to update the moderm

Difference between Rapture and Arcadia
Guys, I'm fairly new to this, and new to Note 4.
Was looking for a ROM and came across the Rapture and Arcadia. Is the main difference the base used? T-Mobile /Canadian? Or am I missing a bigger picture?
From the Arcadia thread:
Yea I think so too. This build is based on the Canadians firmware AND it has the ability to self clean every 7 days. Rapture is based on Tmobile build. I guess not much difference. Either ROM is a killer.

Issue/Question RE: waking phone
I am having trouble with "waking" the phone.
When I press the power button it usually takes 2-3 seconds for the phone to turn or "wake." The home button does the same, lags to turn phone on.
This happens at any point of the day: when full battery, halfway through battery, low battery, during charging. Reboots do not seem to help.
I installed ROM clean also, anyone know what to do or what could be causing this?
I can't find montblanc on 's mote
Samsung Back up and restore not available?
using canadian note 4, there is no option to back up or restore from my samsung account, anyone else having this issue?
Thanks!
Thank you for the amazing rom.
since, I am in canada, I am trying out the OC3 Lollipop (stock) for now,
but with all the fc's and general sluggishness I am really missing the arcadia v3!
Just here to say amazing job! and thanks! for dev-ing the canadian firmware!
Appreciated
Thank you sir, I have donated to your account a couple of times. Waiting impatiently.
Alarm not working in DND mode
Lollipop update
If Do not disturb mode selected (scheduled mode) then Alarm is not ringing even it is selected in the exceptions. Notification message says Alarms Muted, and select/unselect alarms in exceptions list doesn't do anything.

Status bar mods
Hi, love this rom so far thanks for all your hard work you must enjoy this to put the time in wish I had time to learn. I was running the vision rom by Alexia on Pg 149 there was a post for a download of a systemui. Apk that removed the clock from the status bar by Supergrobi24, I tryed on Arcadia 4 and error message was systemui has stopped, at which point did a wipe and reset and restored my backup. My question have you worked on mod like this for Arcadia.???https://www.dropbox.com/s/mqjq3qmdax...ockFW.zip?dl=0

Bluetooth issue in Samsung Galaxy Note 4 4.4.4. I found the post below I use a Motorola sliver 2, my phone before nexus 5 had no such issue, sometimes sounds like I'm in a tin can and fades out on short distance from phone. My question do you believe it could be the stated issue and does Arcadia address this issue.
finally have information (but not a fix) as to why my Note 4 is having bluetooth connection problems on my 2014 Nissan Altima. The Nissan bluetooth department told me that it's a known Samsung issue that they're working on. Apparently, the Note 4 and Edge all use the newest AVCRP 1.5, which nobody else uses yet. Nissan told me that they were told my Samsung, that in their next update, they're going to revert the phones back to AVCRP 1.3, which is the standard in the industry. I don't know when that will happen, but at least I know why now. I have no idea what AVCRP is, by the way. I'm just relaying the info from bluetooth support.
N910w8 csc problem
Hi, I just did a clean install, arcadia v4.1 (oc4)
I am on telus (TLS) but, when i was done with the clean flash, i realized that it had bell (BMC) as CSC.
of course I went to CSC setting *#272^IMEI# to install TLS but, When automatically booted to TWRP to install the CSC,
It keeps on giving 'FAILED' error on TWRP. Since I do not know much about the inner workings of these stuff,
I just can guess that it's either TWRP acting up or there seems to be some quirk with how roms sets up the CSC codes.
If anybody can chime in and help me out! it's greatly appreciated!

Strange Wifi Problem.. Urgent help please

hi there i have bought lumia 540 14 days ago since then i have noticed that my wifi is slow at download or stream videos compared to my laptop and other android device i hve at home.. but the strange thing is that when i factory reset my phone it works very well for one or two days then again it becomes slow, i have done this experiment two times and same thing happening now my lumia wifi is again slow in browser as well as in store.. so wht should i do??
Sorry if i posted in wrong place but xda has always been so helpful to me and i know they will help me again to get rid of this problem.
Q&A would probably have been the more appropriate place but General is fine.
Poking random people via PM is not fine. You're not going to get any answer there I wouldn't have posted here (which is really no answer at all, because I don't *know* the answer), but I might just block you for wasting my time. I'm posting this publicly in the hope that other people will read it and get a clue. Most of them are newbies, but you've been here long enough you should have known better.

(SOLVED) People can't hear me over Bluetooth call in the car.

Guys,
I have Note 4 SM-N910C and after last Android Update, 6.0.1 Marshmallow, people couldn't hear me over Bluetooth call through my stereo.
Tried soft and hard reset, spent few sleepless nights in a row, read thousands of forums and threads, till I found the solution working for me.
It's pretty simple, although its a sick logic from my perspective, but when it works, I don't complain
So, there's the steps, for making the calls work:
Enter in calls screen
From the top right drop-down menu select "Settings" and then "Call"
Scroll down, till you find "Noise Reduction" and remove the tick mark
Enjoy!
I found the solution, on another forum, related to another type of phone, but however, same Android version, so it works for me.
Not sure, about the rules, posting links to another forums, that's my first thread ever, but if someone, wants to see original source, drop me a PM.
