Hello there, I've been jumping from one ROM to the other, but haven't yet encountered one which comes close to matching my expectations. I'm currently using Venom v5 based on 8.1, but the ROM is so bloated that I barely have any free space available on my 16GB J7, even though performance-wise it's almost stellar.
I've also tested Pie Venom, as well as Blackbird, but there were some inconsistencies in the audio quality that made me revert back to Oreo.
Could you offer me any suggestions?

TRR has been in the cards for a while, how does the Gaming Edition compare to the Pure Edition?

i Have a G610M.
Gaming Edition and Pure Edition are updated periodically. Last update for Gaming Edition was released last month.
FOR ME Gaming Edition is better, more fast. It is also very stable because it is based on Stock rom for J7 Prime.
Gaming Edition is light, Games run much better.
But if u want OneUi, i recommend TRR Pure Edition or Godness OneUI.
TRR pure

Hey, folks!
After more than 2 months on Ultimate 5.0 JB rom, and having no complications whatsoever and being very satisfied with battery life, smoothness of operation, etc.., I want to install the latest of the best of JB, with TW...
So, I see again Ultimate 5.2 is very popular as is Sweet rom 4.5, both based on XXLSZ...
Should I just stay on Ultimate series, or is there any argument for jumping to Sweet rom?
If you're happy and have no issues...... Why switch ???
Both are excellent ROMs in their own way, the only way to satisfy your craving is to give in to them....
Flash Sweet JB and test it for a few days, See if you notice anything better / worse than Ultimate............THEN make the decision on which one to stick with :good:
For me its Ultimate all the way.... Stable as a rock, fast, smooth, good battery.... Its everything I need.

Thanks for the reply...
Well, I was happy with previous GB roms, but I switched when something better came out...
I mean, on video review on youtube it says, for example Sweet rom 4.5 does not have S Voice... I think Ultimate has it... any other life or death differences?
Hey everyone,
There has been a lot of development going on recently for our device. So tell us what ROM and kernel do you use and why you like it.
It will help other people to know the features and USPs of other ROMs.
I am currently using Ivan's AOSP with Stock Kernel.
BTW Thanks @Cancro90 for your index.
I have now swtiched to Paranoid Android. Unfortunately, I cannot edit my poll vote...
Coming from Ivan's AOSP, it sure seems equally fluid, the battery life and performance is really good with Phantom Kernel.
I have used PAC ROM too, and it is a great ROM for those looking for a plethora of features.
MIUI v6? Nope, not my cup of android candy! Though a few people still use it.
I prefer my candy vanilla-like .
I've tried the AOSP and Cm ROMs, but I keep coming back to MIUI. I like the look and feel of MIUI, but the biggest thing is the camera. I can't stand the bad camera quality when compared to MIUI. I will miss the audio quality of AOSP/Cm ROMs as they sound so better. So it's almost a toss up between the two. If/when Xiaomi fixes the audio quality (hopefully with lollipop) I will be truly happy.
Also, for me, I got a Xiaomi phone to experience MIUI at its best, just like I would get a Nexus device to have the best stock Android experience. Sometimes I'll feel like going to AOSP, but I really like how MIUI feels on a Xiaomi phone.

I will also move to MIUI temporarily... My Google Cardboard is coming soon and I need the magnetometer to work for a few functions... Are there any stable custom ROMs with compass fixed?
EDIT: Just found out that compass works in Bitti09 CM

You can use IVAN Rom. Everything perfect except HDR picture. But customization is very less, however you can use xposed.

currently I'm using Ivans AOSP 5.1.1 on stock kernel after using the MIUI6 developer rom for quite some time.
MIUI6 PRO:
- gorgeous design,
- the best camera app for MI3
- plenty of features.
- stable
MIUI 6 CON:
- comparably slow and battery draining
- full of bloat-ware
I'm still testing the AOSP,
so far it seems stable (some random call drops) , is fast and responsive, consumes less battery and of course no bloat-ware
It seems most of the users use Ivan's AOSP...

Ahah yes MIUI Pro rom has the better camera with unleashed function (I posted it monthes ago on miui forum and a way to use it on chinese MIUI rom or other international MIUI. For camera with custom rom I'm using OppoCamera (yes HDR still broken) that allows me long exposure, zero shutter lag, manual iso and so on. Sadly HDR still broken and it's so useful function, Manual focus is broken too.
Actually I'm using Paranoid rom with stuxnet+ kernel, which is a great combo.
Which nougat and oreo ROM gave you longer SOT?
I've just only recently obtained the Nexus 6 and have only had time to flash one Rom but I can honestly say without a doubt that It is the best AOSP based experience I have ever had. Everything works, the performance Is excellent, and SOT is pretty good. About 4 - 5 hours doing moderately intensive things like playing games. The Rom is AOSiP by the way. Oh I also hear that using It with the Elemental X Kernel with stock values makes It even better! Haven't tried it yet but I sure will soon enough.

Try using this guide as well If you want to increase SOT time. Experiment and what not. https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/general/guide-advanced-interactive-governor-t3269557

Well that's a myth. Every custom ROM becomes slow after few months or weeks of use unless you've a hefty of RAM.
The closest to stock i heard is Pixel Experience.

I was using pixel experience only, yeah Its performance faded in 1-2 months and some bugs started pooping up. So I had to go back to stock. The moto G5S Plus has 4GBs of RAM, so it shouldn't jave been a problem.
So can reinstalling a ROM (plus full data wipe) make it as fast as it is newly installed?

Yeah installated it, it is pretty smooth. And battery life is comparable with stock. Thanks
My phone is super stable on Android 9 and has been on it for almost 7 months now.
Any particular reason that I should go for Android 10 ?
Using stock Android 10 with no complaints since 2 months. No noticeable glitches, never crashed, no slowdowns actually better battery life than A9 for me.
Tencect, 12gb/512gb, unlocked, no root, stock, A10
how about the reason it's newer and better. which is what typically comes with software updates.

Newer is not always the better.
Thanks a lot for the feedback!
Im still on Android 9 aswell, Ive heard Gaming is better on 9 over 10 and that and A10 is still in Beta right now right?
Works wonderful for me on android 10
Pretty much on A10 since it comes. No issues, runs smoothly. Added just Kirisakura Kernel.

wrong A11 is almost ready and A10 is already stable if officially released by the manufacturer for a device (like your rog-phone2)
A10 is better than A9 for me. More stable UI and gaming performance.
Never upgrading to A10 or even A11 in future!
I have witnessed absolute nightmare performance when I was on A10. The latest A9 ( build which is from December) is imo the best build ever.
- Amazing gaming performance
- Nice Battery life
- Never crashes/lags
A9 is way better overall. Better battery, smoother UI, no random slowdowns, no random freezes with Google chorme. Just try it, your experience may differ than mine.
