Best ROM for longer SOT? - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Which nougat and oreo ROM gave you longer SOT?

I've just only recently obtained the Nexus 6 and have only had time to flash one Rom but I can honestly say without a doubt that It is the best AOSP based experience I have ever had. Everything works, the performance Is excellent, and SOT is pretty good. About 4 - 5 hours doing moderately intensive things like playing games. The Rom is AOSiP by the way. Oh I also hear that using It with the Elemental X Kernel with stock values makes It even better! Haven't tried it yet but I sure will soon enough.

Try using this guide as well If you want to increase SOT time. Experiment and what not. https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/general/guide-advanced-interactive-governor-t3269557

[Q] Pi-llama ROM or Omar ROM?

What's your opnion about this?
What's the best rom for you and why?
I want to install a custom rom on my razr I that be good for games.. TY!
Omar Avelar ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2174731
Pi-llama ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191769
I am currently using Omar's ROM. I love the battery life on my RAZR i. I haven't tried the other one yet anyway. I have only had the phone for a week and a half. Would love to know if someone has compared the battery life on both ROMs. You should try them both I'd say to see which one you prefer.
How about mine?
I prefer Pi-Lllama. The last one is perfect, just need flash player.
Beautiful bottom buttons.
Fast and excellent battery
Just reput stock launcher i prefer and uninstal some gadgets (smartactions,...)
And the last Omar Kernel which is excellent.
Omar rom is good but some bugs like camera, keyboard,...

Your's is excellent too. Best than Omar. Only detail i don't like, brightness is too much low and with an external sd card of 8Gb, i have the impression of less rom memory at less.
But without these 2 things, i may stay on your rom

Yes, the previous brightness curves were a bit too dark. The new ones (v7 available in the AIO mod v5) seem good to me; I have been using them for 5 days and nights now, and I have not found any situation where they were too bright or too dark for my liking. Have you tried those?
I am not quote sure what you mean by less memory.

Good kernels for N6? I need smooth, fast performance

I'm on Pure Nexus at the moment, latest version. I'm running elementalX, and I'm NOT satisfied with this phone. This device lags continuously, it often get very hot, and some games lag badly, like for instance Pokémon go. So, what is a good kernel that I can try to have a smooth performance without lags? Or maybe I should set elementalx in a certain way?
I am thrilled with Franco's. And get his app in the playstore. You can fine tune, or use one of his presets. I have been using the battery saver profile and performance is very good, but i don't game or push mine too hard. He has normal and performance profiles too. And he stays up to date with security patches and commits. That is very important to me. Plus he is a really cool guy, and develops lots of Android apps. Seems to almost be his job maybe.
If you go with his, your ROM needs to be on the July security and driver updates or WiFi won't work. They are co dependent.
That said, kernels are like roms, try em out to find your fit.

And maybe you should try stock first, make sure something else isnt going on.
It hasn't been updated for some time but for me best kernel is Lean kernel. Also LK resolved the split image screen issues that plague some n6 devices

If you're up for trying ROMs, I've been very happy with CandySix. The included B14ckb1rd kernel is awesome. The kernel is available as a standalone.

LG G6 vs OP3T battery

I have 1 week old OP3t and and 2 weeks old G6 , both phones have the same battery but g6 has bigger screen and QHD but i get more SOT on g6 on my op3t i ger around 3:30 to 4 hours and on my g6 i get around 5 to 6 hours SOT ,is it something to do with the software?
Which is the better phone
---------- Post added at 09:22 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:22 AM ----------
Also sultans rom gave me incredible battery life
What rom r u using on the 3t?have u updated to latest fw?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhSKZ9Q2TAU
According to this, G6 dies first, and 3T's battery lasts much longer.
Maybe the issue is your firmware on your 3T?

I am using OB 10
Do you have the exact same apps on both phones? Are you putting any apps to sleep? If one thing is off then this post is moot.

In my experience, I get better battery life and SOT on openbeta than I do on stable.

Smoothest Custom ROM?

Which is the smoothest custom ARM64 Oreo ROM? I don't want much features, just smooth UI and low battery consupmtion.

Well that's a myth. Every custom ROM becomes slow after few months or weeks of use unless you've a hefty of RAM.
The closest to stock i heard is Pixel Experience.

I was using pixel experience only, yeah Its performance faded in 1-2 months and some bugs started pooping up. So I had to go back to stock. The moto G5S Plus has 4GBs of RAM, so it shouldn't jave been a problem.
So can reinstalling a ROM (plus full data wipe) make it as fast as it is newly installed?

Leeco le 2 Benchmarks and performance

I know that our 2016 le 2 is not going to break any land speed records but I'm just curious about what figures it can post. I am a fan of benchmark scores and before you crucify me, yeah! I know benchmarks don't show real world performance. But would it hurt to run them? FOR SCIENCE??
Anyway, let's get away from the politics a bit and share the best benchmark scores we've managed on our lowly le 2. It doesn't matter if it is the famous Antutu, Geekbench, 3DMark, benchmark pi, a1 SD bench, or whatever you had a go at. Just share it here for the world to see.
Sharing Format
Please attach a screenshot of whichever benchmark you ran and the score you got. Also tell us which ROM you were using, if you had installed any custom kernel, overclocks, and any other tweaks that could have led you to that marvelous score.
Example:
I recently did a 3DMark test on my le 2 (find the screenshot(s)) attached. My phone is running SmallEUI version 3, illusion kernel v. 2.5, and I had all cores locked on performance. I also had a fan blowing at my phone for a cooling breeze.

Nice scores. My phone on PE 9 scored 67k on Antutu. Must have been a glitch. Were you running any mods?
Edit:Since you cannot post links yet I've taken your images and put them here to help anyone viewing this in one stop. Hope you don't mind.
Nop. Immediately after flashing rom ran the tests. Is your phone new? Which version, x526?

My phone is less than 2 months old. I must have done something wrong to get such a low score. Your 3D bench looks like mine when I was running smallEUI. I'm installing Arrow OS Pie today. Someone recommended it to me so I am going to try it today.
Edit: again reposted your photos from imgur.
Mine is week and half. I really want to flash bunch of roms, but this one just works too good so I can't justify it. Have fun and good luck. Btw I noticed in other threads other people having ~70k score, so it's not just you.

Yesterday I tried Arrow OS pie and Lineage 16. They had same problems as most other pie ROMS so I removed them both. My phone is a x526, the 3/64 GB version. On Arrow OS with overload kernel, I got 110k Antutu. Lineage got 105k with stock kernel. But performance is nothing without stability. Especially the camera because my phone is a daily driver. How's your camera working?

Damn, 110k. My brothers rn5 got 115k lol. Latest PE is great. It's stable, I don't notice any UI lag. Camera used to close before when trying to record or night mode, especially if I was in a dark room, but now never. I wiped cache before and after dirty flashing update.
Mine is 3/32gb version

I'm pretty sure overclocking will work but that will ruin its stability. But for the sake of benchmark, I guess we can push higher scores

Yes, overclocking works but just a little bit. Stability goes out the window as soon as you start overclocking the SD652. Since it's a 28nm fab chip, it can't go much faster without catastrophic failure.
I read that according to Qualcomm it can do a maximum of 2.2 ghz at 16nm fab process. That's just 400 mhz faster than the current max speed.

How did you get such a high memory speed? Is the phone stable at that performance level?
After many and many test ... this is my result:
Havoc 2.8 (pie)+ some tweak to thermal engine = 119k-120k on antutu score
Havoc 2.8 (pie) + illuminate kernel + some tweak with smartpack kernel manager + some tweak to thermal engine = 120k-121k on antutu score
If u want more info: ask here and i share screenshot of antutu score and my configurartion and mod to obtain this score.
Peace!
From where I can download illuminate kernel.please provide the link .
