I want to install a custom rom on my razr I that be good for games.. TY!
Omar Avelar ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2174731
Pi-llama ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191769
I am currently using Omar's ROM. I love the battery life on my RAZR i. I haven't tried the other one yet anyway. I have only had the phone for a week and a half. Would love to know if someone has compared the battery life on both ROMs. You should try them both I'd say to see which one you prefer.
How about mine?
I prefer Pi-Lllama. The last one is perfect, just need flash player.
Beautiful bottom buttons.
Fast and excellent battery
Just reput stock launcher i prefer and uninstal some gadgets (smartactions,...)
And the last Omar Kernel which is excellent.
Omar rom is good but some bugs like camera, keyboard,...

Your's is excellent too. Best than Omar. Only detail i don't like, brightness is too much low and with an external sd card of 8Gb, i have the impression of less rom memory at less.
But without these 2 things, i may stay on your rom

Yes, the previous brightness curves were a bit too dark. The new ones (v7 available in the AIO mod v5) seem good to me; I have been using them for 5 days and nights now, and I have not found any situation where they were too bright or too dark for my liking. Have you tried those?
I am not quote sure what you mean by less memory.

Hiya
Last year I used Darkys rom on my phone,
for the last 6 months I've switched to MIUI.
I'm tired of charging the phone everyday so want to get out of MIUI
I'm not up to date anymore though, can anyone recommend a really fast/stable & long battery life rom?
What are the popular ones now??
I've tried them all and the newest darky Tom is probably the best the only one that I found that competes with it but still loses is Sam s.u.r.f.a.c.e. v9. Give it a try and see what you think. For me every rom I tried I still had to charge daily, my phone is just over a year old. So maybe a new battery might help too.

For me there is no ROM that last more than 24 hours with normal usage. Charging every night is the only way.
try this ,mate
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1510940
i think Mitra ROM or Ario ROM is the best ..
Try Miui Mintberry http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1350763
Very good ROM with wonderful battery life.
You can get also Green Power to increase your battery life. All depends on your usage, but i think that you probably can get 2 days of normal use, and is also smooth.
Thanks
I was on mintberry for 5 months.
Got sick of gingerbread when everyone is on ICS.
Im using WeUI now
My top 2 battery saving and light roms
If you are hoping for the best battery life try rasbeanjelly rom with matr1x kernel. Or if you want good battery, and allitlle more space, try slimbean. PlZ press thanks if I helped you out

Hello!try rasbean jelly ( Id parse the link but apparently in too "new") plus the matr1x kernel. this rom should get you a lot of battery life and performance. Please press thanks if you Got better battery life!
After so much experimentation and flashing, I think it's finally time to settle down on a single good ROM for a while. Can someone recommend a good stable rom (2.3 or above) which has a great battery life? My data(2G) remains on all the time and I need good battery life to make it through the day.
This is my only requirement, any suggestions???
Gdx v19 or 20.those have nice battery and performance life

Seems alot to me 6 days.. Which version of GC? This post you say 8.4, your last post in the GC thread says 8.5
Changelog for 8.4 states:
Revision 8.4
-changed boot animation
- almost same ui, framework but added transitions
- fixed the ringlock controls with the radio issue
- A lot of widgets
Bugs:
- xLoud bug...
-battery goes out quite rapidely(?? confirm anyone?)
- AutoBrightness has some flickering(?)

And it only works with nAa8
Do you ever use data, wifi, gps, music, videos or any of the features of the phone at all?
It's obvious that you don't overclock but do you undervolt?
I'd just love to know how on earth you manage to get 6 days + out of our phones.
Cheers.

I use version 8.4! It's just for stock kernel. No I didn't overclock and I didn't undervolt.
No I didn't use data, gps, videos. I just play music, browse on wifi. And I use 2G all time! I delete unused running services!
On some rom,I don't use music,videos,wifi,gps... 2g all time... but I get just 2/3 days!
Hello to everyone.
I believe the post title is self explanatory. I'm running a Jelly Bean ROM which works quite well (though not perfect) on my Galaxy S but I have to say that coming from a previous GB ROM, the battery life seems rather poor on this one.. do you know any JB ROMS that have a fairly good battery life? And if so, could you post the link to it?
Thanks
I am sorry but poor battery life is a price that you have to pay for having the most recent Android version in a phone that otherwise will be stuck at GB.
Having said so, I must say that the JB stock rc13 v2 from elitemovil is not too bad regarding battery life

Thanks for the reply even though the truth hurts most of the times ! I suppose Galaxy S3 should be a better choice, soon!
Actually "Jelly Bean" and "Good Battery Life" aren't compatible
Battery lasts 30-40% less on both my SGS III and the original SGS (I keep using it, it's still a great secondary phone!) with jelly bean, compared to their original OS versions
JB is damn smooth, but it won't last a day of heavy use.
Just use GB if you want good battery, and if you want ICS, Slim ICS is ok, but still far from GB in terms of battery efficiency.
I am using CM10 latest nighly (20121001) and battery life is like never before! You should give it a try

They solved so many problems so far, I am sure this one will be covered very soon also!
Depends...
But my phone'ss battery lasts earlier in JB rather than GB.
On the other hand I'm using my phone as a backup. No mobile-signature is working in any CFW.
No advance...

I couldn't install the CM10 because of an error, but I think it is normal that you recharge your phone daily. specially if you surf too much.
X-Bean 2.0....Amazing ROM, great battery life.
Another thread where people post the roms they use
Surprisingly I find that the stock cm10 kernel has better battery life than custom kernels.

What I read at the CM10 forum is that the 720p recording works fine. The problem is with stock player. If you use other player or run the recorded video on your laptop/PC there is no problem!
I managed a 1% battery drop over night in airplane mode with the jb from signature.

Tried all JB releases, didn't like all of them, also on my Galaxy Tab 8.9, just a little bit laggy
Might I suggest to try f4k ROM, it's an ICS release and on both my and my girlfriend's SGS it runs incredibly good. It will last longer on a full battery than any other GB ROM I tried. In our cases it makes our trusty SGS's run about 20% longer and it's faster (feels faster anyway) accompanied by the Holo launcher. Rock stable as well, much more stable than the original Samsung stock ROM.
Good luck
Im on the latest Helly Bean and the battery life is a lot right, not the best at all. But I love Jelly Bean so I don't care.

Which nougat and oreo ROM gave you longer SOT?
I've just only recently obtained the Nexus 6 and have only had time to flash one Rom but I can honestly say without a doubt that It is the best AOSP based experience I have ever had. Everything works, the performance Is excellent, and SOT is pretty good. About 4 - 5 hours doing moderately intensive things like playing games. The Rom is AOSiP by the way. Oh I also hear that using It with the Elemental X Kernel with stock values makes It even better! Haven't tried it yet but I sure will soon enough.

Try using this guide as well If you want to increase SOT time. Experiment and what not. https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/general/guide-advanced-interactive-governor-t3269557

Well that's a myth. Every custom ROM becomes slow after few months or weeks of use unless you've a hefty of RAM.
The closest to stock i heard is Pixel Experience.

I was using pixel experience only, yeah Its performance faded in 1-2 months and some bugs started pooping up. So I had to go back to stock. The moto G5S Plus has 4GBs of RAM, so it shouldn't jave been a problem.
So can reinstalling a ROM (plus full data wipe) make it as fast as it is newly installed?
